1 Chapter 1: Battle of the End

"Fireball!" I shouted, making my intentions clear to anyone. My Fireball makes contact with Max's shield. "I will not stand by and watch idly as you drive the world to its end." I grabbed my sword and took my battle stance, hilt up to the right of my head while the end of the sword was slightly down, facing my enemy.

"Humanity was already heading towards its downfall, Henry. I'm just accelerating the process." Max replied.

"That's bullshit and you know it, Max!" I yelled.

"If you won't stand aside nor help me, then I'll have no other choice than to put you down, Henry," Max said, while his releasing his magic power, which made his red robe and long red hair move wildly on the air. His red eyes shined because of the great power he wielded. His white skin had a red aura emanating from it. I wasn't surprised at all by the oppressing power coming from him. He was the greatest fire mage that has ever lived, after all.

Max opened his arms wide and started to ascend to the skies, magic power spiking and concentrating it on one point. I redirected my magic power to my armor, which amplified my magic. I was different from Max. I wasn't blessed with an obscene size mana pool as he did. I had to wear equipment that boosted my mana and train my body to have a chance against other mages or magical creatures. I learned the way of magic and the way of the sword, which was looked down upon. I forged my own path to greatness. Becoming one of the greatest mages that have ever lived to the dismay of many. I paved this path with blood and tears.

Max released his custom-made spell, Fire tornado, on me. I tanked it as best as I could. I couldn't move from where I was and he knew it.

"You were always the soft-hearted one. Even going as far as to protect those that have wronged you." Max commented while he looked at the people behind me, disgusted.

"Life is learning, Max. One can change as long as they're alive." I cutted down what remained of his spell with my sword.

"Yes, that's so like you. But What if that change isn't for the better? Just like that story that we used to read as children." He casted his Fire Domain. The area became a fire inferno where his fire-based spells reigned supreme. Some parts of the ground melted until they became a sea magma. Trees caught on fire and were reduced ashes.

"Then I'll strike them down with my sword when the need arises!" I released my domain, sword altar. Sword appeared and impaled themselves on the ground and magma, stopping the melting of the ground and shielding the people behind me.

"So be it, old friend." Fire condensed on each of Max's hands, taking the form of two fire swords. "

Like the old times. Winner takes all!" Max charged at me from the air. I casted a flying spell and met Max midway. A great magic wave explosive came to life from our clashed.

"Do you think he will be okay." I heard a deep male voice said, waking me up.

"He can only pray that the protection placed on him by his mother can keep him hidden from him." Another voiced said. This one was more feminine.

I felt I was being moved around. I was in some kind of bed or something. Then I heard a doorbell. Soon after, I heard a door open. I couldn't see anything. There was some kind of cloth, which I couldn't reach, on top of me.

"Hello. How can I help you?" A female voice said.

"Hello. Are you Ms. Dursley? The older sister of Lily Evans?" The female voice asked.

"Yes, I am. Has something happened to my sister?" Ms. Dursley asked.

"Yes, she had died and left behind this fellow." A male voiced said, taking the piece of cloth off of me and allowing me to see.

"His name is Harry Potter." The female-voiced said, making my mind go blank from that name.

I knew that name. That is the name of the main character of one of the stories Max and I used to read. The boy who lived.
