4 Chapter 4: Starting Gift

"A System. Something I got the idea from in another world. In your world, the concept of systems will be first introduced some years later, so you won't know them yet. Let's just say it has similarities with a game. In your case, I created a Gacha System. Every three days, you will get one special location shown by this System. To use the function of this System, you have to go to the designed location and use money to gain a chance at the Gacha. There is also a small Inventory added to the System. The inventory is for the prices you get in the Gacha." Death said, confusing Harry.

"So wait. I need money and have to go to some special place? How can I go there in the first place when I am imprisoned here? And where should I even get all the money? How much is even needed?" Harry asked angrily, thinking that Death had messed with him.

Death again changed to his emotionless voice and said. "There are different Gacha, and the money you need is different. For your other problem, of course, you will have a starter pack that I will give you to celebrate the activation of your System. Anyway, I will now give you the System. Everything will be able to activate with your voice command. There won't be anyone really managing your System, and I will only help you with the first things to get you started, but then I will leave."

Harry accepted his words and was now waiting for something to happen. Not even one second later, something suddenly appeared in front of Harry's eyes. It was a blue-screen-looking thing that showed him some text.

[Welcome to the System. Celebrating your first use of the System, the System will give you a starting gift.]

Reading the message to the end, the text changed and now showed a small list of things that Harry seemingly got gifted.

[Crush Crush Fruit: A devil Fruit from the One Piece World. If eaten, the curse of the sea will make you weak and helpless while submerged in water. The power to Crush.]

[Worldgate: A Gate between the One Piece world and your own. It can appear with your thoughts and also vanish with your thoughts. You will appear where you disappeared before.]

[Training Room (One-time use (1 year)): This training room is limited to one ability. You have to choose one of your abilities to train before entering, and then you can only train in this one ability. Limit: one year. Warning: You will age normally in this room, so be prepared to be one year older at the end of the training.]

[One Piece body constitution: You will keep everything of yourself, but your body will gain the traits of the One Piece world.]

[One Piece body will now be fused. 3...2…]

"Wait, what?" Harry asked.

[Start the fusing.]

When the fusion started, Harry began to scream in pain, alerting his so-called family and guards. There was even a black shadow that came out of the scar on his forehead that suddenly started to scream with an unholy sound before it dissipated.

"SHUT UP, BOY!" screamed Vernon from downstairs while Harry trashed around the floor in pain.

Tonks rolled her eyes and ignored the sound, thinking he must be exaggerating and lying again. 'Wouldn't be the first time. If you believe in what his friends and Dumbledore say, this guy lies so often it's unbelievable. Even Remus said that Harry often extravagates, and now I finally know what he means.'

After one short minute of screaming, Harry slowly returned to his senses.

"AHHH. It hurt so much. Why would this thing not warn me before doing something like that."

Before he could think further, he heard a scream from Vernon from downstairs the house.

"You stupid freak! There won't be any food for you for this week!!"

Harry could still hear him screaming more things but blended it out for the moment to gather the changes in his body.

Clutching his hand, he seemed to be a bit stronger, and looking at the ground, he also appeared to have grown a bit. He knew he was 1,65m before the change, but now it seems he grew some cm.

[The usage and functions of the System will now be implanted in your brain.]

"So that's how it works. But the Prices of the Gacha… Never mind, let that be a problem for the future, Harry. Extract Crush Crush Fruit." Harry said before a strange-looking fruit appeared in his hands.

Harry looked at it weirdly, thought about it, and bit into the fruit without thinking. Trading power for not being able to swim, he didn't think long about it. In the first place, he didn't even know how to swim. Without the Gillyweed in his fourth year, he would have given up on the second task.

"Ah, how disgusting," Harry said while cringing. Even though he could already feel some weird power entering his body, he looked at the fruit disgustedly and took more bites until he had wholly eaten it.

'Maybe it wasn't needed, but just to be sure...' Harry thought to himself. He couldn't feel more power entering him after the first bite, but he wasn't sure about it and didn't want to risk it.

Looking at his hand and concentrating on this new power for a bit, he could see a blue spiral appearing around his hand. Thinking about it, he locked on some old toy that Dudley had thrown into his room in the past and touched it with his hand. Surprising Harry the little doll was split into small cubes and with Harry inserting a bit more power the doll vanished entirely and even the cubes disappeared in front of him.

"Wow. That is so cool!!!" Harry screamed, showing the kid inside himself for the first time in weeks.

After some more little experiments, Harry thought about the other items. While thinking about it, he sat himself on the only chair inside his room, but without concentrating on his new power, it suddenly activated, and the wooden chair under him vaporized into many tiny little cubes before vanishing completely. 

Without the chair, Harry instantly fell to the ground. 

Luckily, combined with his fast reaction time, he quickly suppressed his new power again so the ground of his room wasn't damaged.

"Wow. That needs some training. It seems like when I don't concentrate on this power, it will destroy everything around me. But it doesn't need that much attention, and I can still do other things while still suppressing this power. Still, I need to train this power more in the future, or it will be a danger not only to myself but also to others."

"So now the only things left are the Time Room and the Worldgate. I can probably first use the Training Room for the Crush Fruit, and after that, I could use this Worldgate to see this other world." Harry said to himself with some excitement before Death interrupted him.

"Use the Worldgate first. I don't want to wait much longer, and considering I still want to give you one last benefit before leaving, I will show you something that will help you in this other world and maybe even in this one."

Slowly believing in this Death character that gave him a chance for freedom, Harry activated the Wordgate without hestitation.

Appearing in front of him was a door. Thinking about how it works, he slowly opened the door to see something weird that looked like a galaxy. 

Guessing how the door worked, Harry walked into it without looking back.

After he walked inside, the door closed again. Without his 'family' and the guard's knowledge, Harry Potter vanished out of his room. Not that they would ever notice. They usually won't see him anyway, so how could they know he wasn't in his room?
