1 The Awakening of the System

On the night before Cesar's eleventh birthday, he found himself completely absorbed in the messages that appeared in front of him.

Cesar felt a surge of excitement, making him jump out of the comfy bed. "Wow! It's amazing! Finally, Cesar has entered the world! I always knew there would be a price to pay for crossing over!"

Cesar, who originally came from Earth, had somehow transformed into a baby one day. As he grew up, he discovered that he had crossed over into the magical world of Harry Potter.

Thankfully, life in this new world had been quite enjoyable for Cesar. The Marcel family, a respected and ancient wizarding family in Britain, had moved from a mysterious place centuries ago. Everyone admired and respected them.

However, despite his noble family background, Cesar couldn't shake off a feeling of sadness. As the only child in this respected family, he seemed to lack the advantages that most pure-blood wizards had.

While he inherited the attractive looks of the Marcel family, his magical abilities were disappointingly average.

In renowned families, children with exceptional talents usually showed early signs of their magical abilities through uncontrolled bursts of magic, resulting in extraordinary events.

Cesar, however, had never experienced anything like that. He seemed like an ordinary muggle child in every way.

This became a subject of secret mockery among the noble circles. It seemed like the Marcel family's long legacy would end with Cesar's generation.

Fortunately, Cesar's loving parents showered him with affection and never let his perceived lack of talent overshadow their love. Their unwavering support brought comfort in his new life.

Yet, Cesar couldn't help but feel some resentment towards the wizard system for remaining hidden for ten years, subjecting him to ridicule. "Why did it only appear now?"

"The wizard system has immense power," the system promptly responded. "Attaching itself to a young host could result in a dangerous explosion, causing the host's death."

Cesar shuddered at this revelation, but his curiosity pushed him to ask, "Did the system cause me stress during its hidden phase?"

"It did cause stress, and the most noticeable effect was a significant hindrance to your magical abilities."

My goodness! So, the system was responsible for holding back my magical potential all this time!

Despite his lingering resentment, Cesar reluctantly accepted the explanation. "Alright... Can you please explain the purpose of this wizard system?"

"The wizard system is here to assist the host in becoming the most powerful wizard in history. It will analyze your powers and provide additional enhancements."

"Powers? Can you explain that to me?" Cesar asked with genuine curiosity.

"Every person in this world, whether they're a wizard or not, has three important aspects that make up their power," the system explained. "These aspects are the body, magic, and spirit."

"Developing magical power is the most important, followed by mental abilities, while physical improvement takes the longest."

Intrigued by this revelation, Cesar couldn't resist asking further. "Oh? Can you tell me my levels in these three powers?"

The system immediately showed the data panel: "All of them are at the lowest level."

"..."

Cesar felt a bit frustrated and helpless. It seemed that being a traveler didn't automatically make one a super genius. Fairy tales can be misleading.

But despite his disappointment, Cesar still had some concerns. "You mentioned they are at the lowest level. So, are these three powers ranked?"

"The three powers are divided into ten levels each. Currently, your level is the same as that of most regular people, which is the stage of a child."

Cesar nodded in understanding. "One more question, what is this 'novice gift package' you mentioned?"

"Do you want to activate the novice gift package?"

Without hesitation, Cesar chose "Yes," and the system immediately presented a new upgrade: "Upon activating the novice gift package, you will receive a lottery and an unconditional promotion to the first level in all three powers!"

As the prompt appeared, Cesar felt a surge of energy filling his body, and on the system panel, his body, magic, and spirit all changed to level 2!

Excited about the changes in his body, Cesar quickly got out of bed to test his newfound strength. The precious wooden furniture in the room was easily moved around by him, and Cesar had a great time playing with it.

"So, these pieces of furniture were impossible to budge with my childlike physique, but now, with a Level 2 body, I at least have some youthful strength..."

Satisfied with the results of his experiment, Cesar noted the improvements in his magical power and spirit, although he couldn't test them immediately.

Next, Cesar focused on the lottery, one of the system's features. "Let's start the lottery."

In response to his request, the light of the wizard system began flashing rapidly and eventually stopped on a line of text.

"Congratulations to the host for gaining the Level 1 mutant ability 'self-healing'!"

"Mutant ability?" Cesar was surprised. "As far as I know, there are no mutants in this world, right?"

"The items obtained from the lottery are not limited to this world."

This news filled Cesar with excitement. "Then, what does this Level 1 mutant ability 'self-healing' do?"

Upon careful consideration, wasn't this ability a weaker version of Wolverine's power? With further level advancements, maybe not even the Killing Curse could kill him!

Just imagine, a wizard who can withstand the Killing Curse and fight back with a powerful slap! How amazing would that be?

"At Level 1, the host's self-healing ability allows for gradual healing of all non-fatal injuries."

Cesar tempered his excitement a bit after hearing this. It seemed that at Level 1, he still couldn't survive fatal injuries. For now, he needed to be cautious.

Feeling content, Cesar peacefully returned to bed and drifted off to sleep once again.
