24 Chapter 24: Extraordinary Success (Edited)

Fred and George's assessment of the paper was, "An unprecedented success, Ivan!"

Now, the newspaper "Hogwarts Magic" is the most popular thing in the whole school, all students are talking about its content.

The front page introduced the fight of Gryffindor and Slytherin students on the Quidditch pitch which greatly satisfied everyone's curiosity. Colin even captured some photos that showed Ivan's best side.

Being attractive, intelligent, and a newspaper creator, Ivan is now almost as famous as Harry, he is now one of the most popular students, and most people had a positive evaluation of him, and there were even girls willing to write him love letters.

The advantage of the newspaper was that it could change public opinion, so in his article he showed that Slytherin was the main cause of the battle.

Of course, it was the truth.

Now that everyone knew what had happened, they decided to condemn Malfoy, which infuriated him.

Malfoy glared at Ivan and Harry angrily from afar, but didn't dare look for trouble.

Besides, Hermione's articles were going better than he expected, despite the fact that most young wizards don't care about this issue. However, during lunch, Ivan noticed that several professors read the contents of the articles carefully.

The introduction of secret passages, Quidditch, and magical creature articles were very popular among young wizards, and although there were many excerpts from the original books in them, many of the younger wizards would not have read those specialized books.

Some of the articles could help new students integrate more quickly into school life. The twins made puns and jokes that the older ones liked.

As for Luna's article, "How to Find a Snorkack with Crinkly Horns," it was not very popular.

But Luna was still very happy and gave a recent issue of the Quibbler to Ivan and said that her father would like to cooperate with them in depth for a joint publication of the results of the Wrinkled Horned Snorkack research.

The most popular items were Lockhart's photos and novel.

It was mainly popular among girls, and Hermione was no exception. Even many Slytherin girls secretly got a copy of the Hogwarts Magic newspaper.

But what was more surprising was that some people ordered a new newspaper from Ivan to mail to their parents, most of them were Lockhart fans, which would increase the number of buyers, which made Ivan think about printing more.

Someone finally noticed Ivan's story about Lily at breakfast, The descriptive article brought everyone back to Godric 's Hollow and the battle that shaped today's magical world.

As one of the most well-known modern magical events, young wizards knew the basics of what had happened, but no one knew the details that Ivan wrote in his article.

For a while, this story replaced the Lockhart novels as the main focus.

Today's breakfast was destined to be much longer than usual, as everyone was immersed in this tragic story, since no one had time to worry about the food in front of them.

Other than those in Slytherin, the other houses were all quiet as they read the article. This made Slytherin curious, but due to the boycott, they were unable to watch.

After a while, the Slytherin's returned to their houses' common room, but the Slytherin students were still looking at them curiously.

The corners of Ivan's mouth turned up slightly; he looked like he was going to be up late working tonight.

The Slytherin boycott was soon almost nonexistent. Ivan also noticed that Snape was absent at dinner that night, and it seemed that the article had a significant impact on him.

In fact, during the following week, Professor Snape's mood was strange, Snape was the first to leave the class after they finished, he also did not eat in the great hall, apart from Ivan, no one else knew what was wrong with Snape, Snape did not even make it difficult for the Gryffindor students, which was inconceivable to some students.

Everyone now knew how Voldemort failed, people were not affected by the duel between James and Voldemort, but were touched by the motherly love Lily showed.

As the article said, she had the chance to live, but for Harry's sake she didn't. Ultimately, the power of love bounced Voldemort's magic and ushered in a new era.

An hour later, as Ivan and Harry got up to leave the Great Dining Hall, all the students applauded Harry.

They were paying tribute to Harry and his departure, as heroes who saved the wizarding world.

That night, Gryffindor held a party where the entire staff of the Hogwarts Magic newspaper became the main focus. It was exciting for Colin, who had never received so much attention from anyone.

"The Magic of Hogwarts" newspaper was an unprecedented success, as it originally printed 700 copies, but had to print another 300 copies later, as the demand was so high.

Even the businesses that advertised in the paper benefited, as well as Fred and George's modified magical fireworks, all of which sold out in less than a day, so they were creating new ones.

As for the businesses advertised in the paper, their sales increased by about 30%, for example, a large amount of lemonade ordered by owl from The Three Broomsticks, which made Madam Rosmerta want to let Ivan drink butterbeer. Another example is that after Ivan recommended cockroach cones, they instantly became the most popular candy at Honeydukes.

This allowed the Flume couple to sell much more than they normally would, which made them very happy.

Of course, when students bought the product and discovered that the candy looked exactly like a live cockroach, many were instantly disgusted and lost their appetite, Ivan also received the terrible title of 'Cockroach Killer'.

A few days later, the businesses sent a letter to Ivan and invited him to come back that weekend to discuss further cooperation.

While the price they were willing to pay was lower than that of the Daily Prophet, at least it was a step forward after getting them to sign a long-term contract.

As a result, the cost needed to print the "Hogwarts Magic" newspaper was resolved.

Ivan was relieved to be able to pay for the next issue of "The Magic of Hogwarts" newspaper.

Three days later, while Ivan was eating breakfast and whispering to Hermione about the next issue of the paper, he received an unexpected letter.

Ivan looked at everyone in "The Magic of Hogwarts" and said, "Listen guys, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Prophet wants to buy the rights to reprint Professor Lockhart's photos and articles, my story about Harry's mother, and..."

Ivan paused and everyone looked at him nervously.

Ivan said dryly, "And Hermione's two articles, 'Calling on the Ministry of Magic to focus on the safety of underage wizards and witches' and 'The rights and legitimate interests of Muggle-born wizards'"

Ron, with a shocked tone and his mouth hanging open, said, "Oh my God!"

Hermione asked excitedly, "Is it true, Ivan?"

Ivan nodded at Hermione and then wrinkled his nose and said, "Actually, Barnabas Cuffe thinks your articles are brilliant, and if you want you can sign the contract that came with the letter and they'll mail you the reprint costs and royalties tomorrow."

Hermione quickly grabbed the contract and said excitedly, "Of course I'm willing!"

Ron, recovering from the shock after hearing Ivan's words, said, "The editor of the Daily Prophet is crazy, why would he want to buy Hermione's articles? is it because he wants the Ministry of Magic to ban Quidditch games?"

Ivan shrugged as he stood up and said, "Who knows, maybe he has acrophobia like me. I'm going to talk to Professor Lockhart and take Colin with me to take some new pictures."

Harry looked at Ivan's back and blinked innocently, he couldn't understand why he wanted to publish the article in the Daily Prophet.

However, Harry agreed to let Ivan put the article about his mother, Lily, in the Prophet, and he felt the need for more people to know about her.
