14 Slytherin relation’s

A/N; Warning for drinking, Drink responsibly readers! (Ps. Last mishap is ruining my mental schedule for the updates. I'm not late am I?)

...

She never thought her actions would end up damning them all,

But it did, and it did more than just that,

.

.

.

(THIRD POV)

It had been about three hundred years since her body started to deteriorate and weakened. She had tried every other way to prolonged her life. But nothing she did worked out without a serious repercussion.

But after long tedious research, she started to create another version of herself. A puppet if you will, A version that can walk around without the fear of death from the dangers nor the problems that comes with age.

And after a decade and half worth of research, she managed to make one.

Though incomplete,

She did it.

She created her first 'Puppet'

Inside a room with a single lamp as a light source. Mrs Flickchered studied the dead automatons mother board that went haywire carefully with pin sets.

A disturbance from an external source, the same kind of error with the others…

This was the tenth she found to be malfunctioning, after the first one that she found at the Crowell's house all those years ago when she first met Iryan and Mateo.

Click click

Pipa squeaked,

Mrs Flickchered took off her attention from the mother board to see what her little knarl was doing and couldn't help but frowned at the darkening of the core Pipa was pointing at the "heart" of the Automaton.

Black Archaic magic…

She was sure of it.

The problem was… last user of the Archaic magic is already dead and all records of that magic was burned down decades ago by them. So, who could have cast it? And such a high ranking one too—a spell that couldn't be tracked.

"I better tell Theo and him about this." She mumbled,

"Tell 'em what?" the door opened and revealed a flushed faced Burton,

"Ed…" Mrs Flickchered eyed the bottle of liquor he was holding, "Mind giving me some?"

"Sure, was for ye to begin with" He chuckled and handed the bottle over to her.

Mrs Flickchered grabbed the bottle and poured herself a drink with the empty glass she had laying on the side of the table. Without wasting a breath, she took a huge chug and drowned in the savour.

"Wow there, what had gotten you riled up this time?"

"Same old. Problems with the Automaton's. Still couldn't find the culprit who corrupted them all, and no, like the rest—untraceable" She poured another and chug it again, slightly slamming the glass to the table after that "Hah… I was already chasing the deadline. And now I might have to speed things up more… I need to find the last three piece…"

"You're starting to slur your words there Flicky,"

"Don't call me that Cal"

"Yea, yea…" He sat down on the sofa beside the working table, "No leads, ay?"

"As I've said. Untraceable"

"Pity," He chug his own bottle of liquor, "Trapping them is also a no go?"

"Yea, tried multiple times already. They kept on figuring it out and—that's it. Another dead end." Mrs Flickchered scratched her head, her hair was probably coated by oil by now with all that scratching. "Why can't they be a bit less smart and annoying to deal with…"

"HAHAHA, if only the little Crow saw you like this!" Burton laughed heartily, "His vision of you would be shattered instantly"

The said Mrs. Flickchered's hand and head was sprawled all over the work table and simply laid there. Frowning at her friend's attitude. "Har, har"

"Hard works pays off those who tried, Yet not all reward would be satisfactory"

"Complicated words"

He merely chuckled back in responds,

Mrs Flickchered groaned to the table in annoyance. She grabbed the bottle, sat straight and simply chug the liquor from the bottle.

She was by no means a light weight, so that much drinking wouldn't get her drunk. Burton knows that. At the same time, He also know that she never drinks like that normally.

The only reason that can make her like this was when she was stressed. This had given him a baseline that who—or better yet, whatever that was corrupting the other Automatons were getting to her.

He took another sip of liquor from his own cup and let the alcohol kicks into his system.

It was going to be a long night and he had a feeling that he would be dragged again the following day to start searching for those Artifacts again.

He sighed with a reluctant smile, "Pray I don't get a hangover" he chuckled to himself, but didn't show any signs of stopping.

(THIRD POV)

Waking up to an unfamiliar ceiling, this wouldn't be the first time for him. Mateo looked around and saw the rest of his roommates still snoozing their dreams away.

He should get ready, was what he thought. And by the time the rest woke up, He was already in his robes.

"Morning," He greeted them while fixing the satchel on his side,

"Ngg, mor-- *yawn, ning..." Theo rubbed his still closed eyes, he was already out of his blankets and had a cup in his hands, "You're already ready up and about at this ungodly hour?"

"Habit,"

"Of course," he took a sip, dragging his feet towards his side of the room.

While on the other side of the room was A Malfoy who was aggressively pulling the blanket of a round ball. "WAKE UP YOU BIG OAF! YOU TOO GOYLE, DON'T GO BACK TO SLEEP!!!"

The revered two was, of course, only half listening. They kept on nodding off and made Draco personally wake them up.

"Augh, please don't scream like a banshee, Draco. My ears can't take it this early in the morning" Zabini grumbled and covered his ears

"You should also wake up Zabini" Theo told him while he taking out his uniform

"I'm already awake" He grumbled from under his blankets,

"Then get ready," He stated,

"Insufferable"

"How kind of you,"

By the time Zabini finally decide to get out of his comforters, Mateo was already long gone and went his merry way to the grand hall to have his breakfast.

On his way, there weren't that many students that was already awake. He noted, the hallways movements were as Mrs. Flickchered had said, complicated. Several of the staircase had moved and pathways turned.

He was amazed by himself that he even managed to travel through that without much complications. Well, in regards for the map he had been given. It was low chance for him to get lost to begin with.

When he arrived. The hall, though not much difference than the hallways, had several students already on their respective house seat.

He scanned the room and saw that Iryan, Harry, and Ron wasn't there yet. He prayed that they would at least be awake by now.

Mateo took a seat in the Slytherin table and ate his breakfast. He didn't feel the repulse he felt last night because there weren't as many stacked as last nights were in front of him now. And he was glad for it.

Some bread spread with chocolate… yup. Nothing beats these kinds of breakfast for him.

.

.

.

(MATEO'S POV)

When the hall were starting to fill up, I felt a pat on my back and saw Theo, who was already in his uniform, sat next to me.

"Hello,"

"Yea"

"Mind if I seat here?"

"Not at all,"

Behind him was Draco who was followed by Crabbe and Goyle. He didn't ask for permission and simply sat across me while the other two sat next to him respectively.

Zabini… he just straight up strutted towards my other side that was still empty and sat there.

They took a plate and started picking from the various food in front of them, and began eating their breakfast.

We were then later greeted by Pansy and her group of girls, who sat at the remaining seats

"So, what's the schedule?" Pansy asked

"It'll be distributed today, right after breakfast" Theo answered,

"Hope we don't get too many complicated ones… I heard History of magics would be boring from the upperclassmen" Tracey ranted,

"It couldn't be that bad right?" Zabini assured,

Pansy looked at Zabini like she just ate a sour milk, "Famous last word Blaze, famous last words"

They kept on ranting small stuffs and bicker. No surprises. They had known each other for years as they were all from the circle.

I also had known them for a long time. But unlike them, I don't stay in contact with them often. I probably had met them once or twice in the span of this years and exchange a handful of letters. But not more than that.

They probably only stayed in contact with me because of their parents told them to because of my relation with Mrs. Flickchered.

I took a quick glance to the Gryffindor's table when I heard whispers.

Yea,

As I've thought,

Potter was there.

Iryan and Ron almost seemed like his body guards or something with how Ron tried to make way for them, while Iryan used the tip of his cane to stop several feet's to get too close.

Should I help?

"Seem like Potter is having a time of his life with that popularity of his" Draco grumbled,

"Why? You jealous?" Zabini taunted,

"Me? As if" I watch as he scoffed,

Daphne who had been quiet leaned forwards and eyed the three who was still struggling to get to their seat, "Who's the blond? His kind of cute"

Oh wow, he already got an admirer. No surprises, He has the looks

"Iryan Crowell," Theo commented,

"Eh? Crowell?"

They all looked at me,

I directed my attention to them, "fraternal twin,"

"I didn't know you had a twin" Pansy gapped, "you don't look alike at all"

"Got that a lot" I fiddled with the hem of my sleeves.

It was starting to get uncomfortable,

"Wow, the gene runs in the family" Bulstrode snickered, looking back from me and Ryan. Though not verbally, I can see the other's silently agreeing with her.

Fun thing is that, we're not even related. So, what does she meant by that?

The first day of class was mostly a walk through of how things work then goes to practical if there was any.

But as today was Monday, we only had History of magic and a session of herbology, after that was a free afternoon off. And as Davis had said. History of Magic was… to say the least, quite a lecture.

After that was Herbology class with Hufflepuff, which I manage to follow without any troubles since Father use to drag me to care for his garden with him.

The others were decently going through it too. Surprisingly, it wasn't Crabbe or Goyle who struggled, instead, Pansy who was struggling.

Her hair had several specks of dirt after we finished. She was, of course, fuming and we left Bulstrode to comfort her.

And just like that, the day ended as fast as it had started.

It wasn't until dinner that I could see the tip of that doofuses hair strand again. He seemed to be enjoying himself. Good for him.

Well,

I stretched my back and followed the others back to the dormitory,

Guess that's day one,

(OMAKE)

"That book your brother gave you really came in handy, huh?" Ron commented, "We could have gotten lost multiple times if it weren't for it"

It was true, they had almost gotten late to both of their classes.

"Hah… yup, it was a good thing he gave me this yesterday. We didn't see him for most of the day today. Our schedules just don't match"

"Yea," Harry hummed, he couldn't help but agree

"He was also staring at you the most of the time at dinner though, he looked like he had something to say"

"Really?"

"Yup," Ron nodded his head as he opened the door to the dormitory. "Maybe you should find him tomorrow during the off times—not really sure about how Slytherin schedule works though. So you could just miss him the whole day like today"

"Already considering it"

"How about you Harry? Any plans for tomorrow after class?"

"Not really, I'll probably roam around for a bit and memorize the place. You want to join me?"

"Sure!"

Ron beamed at the invite,

"Have fun you two,"

"Oh, We Will!"
