Chapter 0: When shit just happens.

Chapter 0: When shit just happens.

You know all those novels and fanfics where you somehow end up in another world? Where you either inhabit your own body or someone else's, either receiving memories of that person or just being a complete fraud trying to look convincing by claiming you have selective amnesia or some other excuse?

Yeah, that's happening to me right now.

How, you might ask?

I have no freaking clue.

I had just finished playing Hogwarts Legacy for the first time not too long ago, and when I wanted to start a new save, I noticed an additional difficulty called [Hell Mode].

Like every masochist who loves Soulsborne games, I clicked it immediately.

And then everything went black.

I couldn't see, touch, or hear shit.

Kinda funny feeling though since the first guess I had was, BIngo! transmigration like those ffs until everything brightened up and I found myself staring at a woman, presumably my mother, who was walking towards me with a worried and scared expression.

I mean, the body I was inhabiting had already died. Obviously, I felt guilty for taking over this kids body, but I couldn't do anything. It's not like I knew this would happen.

"Klein, are you alright?!" the black-haired woman said in a shaken and worried voice.

As I looked into her eyes, a sense of familiarity washed over me, even though I knew I had never seen her before in my life.

I blinked, trying to gather my bearings in this surreal situation. "I... I think so," I stammered, my voice still unfamiliar to my own ears. "Where... where am I?"

The woman's expression softened with relief as she reached out to touch my shoulder gently. "You're home, Klein," she replied, her voice trembling slightly. "You had us worried sick. You fell down from that damned broom, I explicitly told you not to touch."

My heart skipped a beat. A broom? Did she mean to say I fell off a broomstick? I glanced around the room, noticing the telltale signs of a wizarding household – portraits moving and whispering, a faint shimmer of magic in the air.

'Holy fucking shit...'

As memories started to trickle in, disjointed and fragmented, it dawned on me that I wasn't just in some random isekai world – I was in the world of Harry Potter. Hogwarts, broomsticks, spells... THE FRICKING WIZARDING WORLD!

I obviously felt excited I mean i was just playing Hogwarts legacy not long ago, and now this!

But excitement quickly turned to panic as I realized the gravity of my situation. I wasn't just a player anymore; I was a part of this reality, with consequences and dangers far beyond anything a game could offer.

"What... what do I do now?" I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair in frustration.

From what I could recall from 'my' fragmented memories, it was 1989 and I was currently 10 years old, which meant I would be admitted to Hogwarts in a year, one year before canon starts, which isn't that bad honestly, At least I'd have some time to figure things out before diving headfirst into the chaos.

But as I sat there, contemplating my future, Realization hit me.

This world was different from the books, no it'd be easier to say it's an AU.

In this world, it seemed like the Potters still lived, and the boy who lived had now become the girl who lived, and instead of the Potters dying, it seemed the grandparents of the girl who lived had done the weird sacrificial magic thingy who if I remembered correctly were Euphemia Potter and Fleamont Potter.

'Huuu...'

With a deep breath, I gathered my thoughts and focused on the task at hand. It was clear that I needed to adapt quickly if I wanted to survive this alternate HP universe successfully.

First things first, I needed to figure out how to blend in. I couldn't go around shouting about being a transmigrated soul from another world where this world was a book! – that would only earn me a one-way ticket to St. Mungo's. So, I resolved to play it cool, act as if I belonged here.

But blending in wasn't just about appearances; it was about understanding the intricacies of this world. I needed to learn about its history, its customs, its people – everything that made it tick. And what better way to do that than by attending Hogwarts?

Sure, I've read fanfics where characters skip Hogwarts altogether and attend other wizarding schools, but...

That thought got cut off as I stared at what was in front of me.

The very sight of this holographic window flickering to life before me was enough to halt any further thought.

The bread and butter of every transmigrator.

The so-called golden finger for the Chinese.

But for me. It's my lifeline.

Why you ask?

Because of my stupidity.

"Fuck."

That one word summed up my entire situation perfectly.

Staring at the holographic display, the gravity of my predicament hit me like a sack of shit to the face. I wasn't just dealing with a casual isekai scenario; I was thrown into the deep end of "fuck you" with this shitty Hell Mode activated.

And that wasn't the worst of it...
