6 Diagon Alley

Looking at the reaction from the baby mandrake, Fleamont, Euphemia and Harry were all shocked. This kind of reaction was something that they didn't expect at all. Fleamont and Euphemia looked at each before wondering as to how such a thing had happened, after all, this didn't seem like the way a Nature-Animagus would work, but rather the polar opposite.. it almost seemed as though Philip instilled fear into the poor little baby mandrake.

Naturally, both Fleamont and Euphemia could tell that it wasn't any kind of magic used to silence it as whilst Philip was insanely smart now and could even go as far as to use a few wandless magic spells if they had allowed him, they still didn't believe or notice that he had used anything or did anything out of the ordinary.

Harry as confused as he was, still went over to the baby mandrake and scooped it up into his arms once more whilst looking at it with a curious expression, the mandrake didn't cry or wail anymore but rather it had stopped shivering as much and rested gently.

It would still shiver when it felt Philip's gaze though.

No one could tell what Philip was thinking currently, but he didn't look too bothered by the situation and instead sat at the shaded side of the table with a book in one hand and a pumpkin pasty in the other nibbling away every once in a while, his eyes seemingly illuminated in the shade like silver gems, it was quite the peaceful scene to look at honestly.

Due to Fleamont and Euphemia looking so young despite their ages, you could honestly say that it just looked like a normal family having a somewhat normal picnic lunch in the front garden.

[1 Year later - 27th November 1989]

Philip and Harry were both now 9 years old... time truly went by fast with them having quite the carefree life, they never attended school but also didn't need to. They were both too smart to bother with such a thing, even Harry. You could argue that school could be but an excuse to make friends for the two that never seemed to leave the household. But this is something that the Potters were never too keen on anyway, allowing the boys to go out by themselves has too many risks due to a lot of Death Eaters out there.

Whilst the Ministry of Magic did win the overall war 9 years ago due to the killing of Voldemort, this did not mean that they were in the clear.. whilst they managed to capture a few of the High ranking Death Eaters and killed a few of the lesser known ones in azkaban, there was still far too many out there that would jump at the chance to avenge their Lord, Voldemort.

There were exceptions to everything of course, and this was how the couple compromised and allowed for them to go out together to Diagon Alley and have a look around. Having a change of scenery whilst it may not be needed, was good for the boys at least.

At first, Harry assumed that they were going to be flying there which made him really happy and excited, however, he soon noticed that no one had any brooms out which he found odd..

"Grandpa, Grandma, are we not flying to Diagon Alley?" - Harry asks

Fleamont and Euphemia look at each other, then towards Philip, then back again to Harry whilst smiling. "I'm afraid not Harry, this time we'll be going via the usage of Floo Powder" - Fleamont

Harry's face drooped a little bit but then perked back up when he realised that he'd never used Floo powder before either. The family of 4 made their way towards the central dining rooms fireplace before taking turns to use the Floo powder whilst speaking of the location they wanted to go to, e.g. Diagon Alley.

When Harry went through, he fell to his knees, slightly dizzy and disorientated which caused Philip to almost fall and trip up over his twin. It was quite the amusing sight really.

They looked around only to see a small group of people sat around giggling at them, the interior was similar to those pubs in the muggle-world that Philip had read about before whilst at the same time it was different. Fleamont and Euphemia helped the two boys up. They then used a spell charm for cleaning known quite simply as 'Cleanse' which swiftly dusted them off and restored their previous appearances.

The place they were in was known as The Leaky Cauldron, a pub that separates the muggle-world and wizardry world by a mere wall and some anti-muggle magic charms, muggles wouldn't just walk into a wall after all and even if they did, it was rather easy for the wizard and witches that stay at Leaky Cauldron regularly to cast a simple obliviate spell on them.

When Harry and Philip looked around, they noticed that a lot of people appeared to be pointing and whispering about them which made them slightly confused but at the same time accepted it somewhat. They had heard a few tales of the situations from their grandparents and also books that were being circulated around the Potter Household, their library was quite big due to Philips requests after all.

Harry wasn't too keen on the attention whilst Philip just looked like he didn't particularly care. Fleamont and Euphemia both saw their reactions die down about as quickly as they fluttered and thought of how amazing they would be in the future, the two boys weren't over the top about the attention which was great to them.

They made their way out of the Leaky Cauldron after exchanging some simple pleasantries with Tom, the owner and made their way to the back wall whilst Fleamont decided it'd be a good idea to show the boys how to open the wall and gain access to the real Diagon Alley.

Philip had finally lifted his head from the book he was reading as though he was slightly more interested in the situation now whilst Harry was already pumped up just by simply seeing the wall open with magic.

What entranced their eyes was a one-road path with buildings stacking high on both sides of them, a very lively atmosphere with many people, or should I say, wizards and witches walking around along the streets and to-n-thro the various shops.

They all started to walk along the path with Harry in the lead, Philip just behind, Fleamont and Euphemia being at the back watching the two boys intently to see how they would react and where they would choose to go first.
