Chapter 69: She's Here!
Bradley stared out the small airplane window, a permanent frown marring his face. He drummed his fingers on the arm of the seat, aggravated, disappointed, and a little angry, too. Carissa wasn't stupid. So, why was she making the worst decision of her life by choosing Danny?
Sighing, Bradley shifted in his chair, then glanced toward the cockpit. Why hadn't they taken off yet? He stood and walked down the center aisle. He'd only taken a few steps when the flight attendant intercepted him.
"Can I get you something, Mr. Moore?" she asked in a sweet but professional tone.
"No. Is there a problem with the plane or something?" Bradley asked. "Why haven't we left yet?"
"I'm not sure. Let me check." She smiled, spun on her heel, and walked away.
