Bradley's nerves were fried, and he couldn't sit still even if his life depended on it. Which was why he was currently standing outside of the plane, pacing in front of the stairs. Every few seconds, he'd glance toward the airport, hoping to see Carissa walk out the door that led to the private airfield.
And each time he didn't see her, disappointment would crash down on him. He'd known there was a possibility she wouldn't show up, that she'd pick Danny over him. After all, she and Danny had a history. How could Bradley compete with that? Carissa loved Danny, and she was simply attracted to Bradley. If he were her, he'd probably choose love over lust, too.
