Before Doom Part One (mini chapter)

I was born as the youngest heir to Korea's most successful group of companies. With my elder brothers all big shots and model gentlemen, it was only natural for me to bear the intense lectures and shallow motivations to carry the name forward. My mother had died right after she gave birth to me, and I was blamed all my life for her death. My father was the company's chairman; he was also the reason I hated my life.

"Hwang Yujin. Show me the forecast of the mock trading I set up for you," said Appa. A chill ran down my back as I stayed silent while holding a switch on the refridgerator to dispense water into my glass. I flinched when I heard footsteps approaching, whilst suddenly, a hand pulled my hair violently, pulling me down to the furnished floor. "DISGRACE. DISGRACE IS WHAT YOU'LL BRING ON OUR NAME." yelled Appa, as I lay down on the floor half-concious from the force. He threw the phone at me, which displayed a negative balance. In short, I suck at everything. I was hopeless.

I picked myself up, and walked to my room on the other side of the mansion. Our chief maid, Bertha, welcomed me, and asked me to freshen up and eat dinner. I wolfed down the surasang they laid on my table, and ran to my room.

I snuggled up the blanket and switched off my side lamp. God, why did you not give me to a normal family? Why did you choose for me the Hwang family. Everything in this house disgusts me. People work hard to earn money, to live like this? Am I blessed, or am I cursed? I hate my life. I just don't want them to know.
