13. Testing

After that short conversation, Ya Fei didn't speak much but Gu Ni started asking a bunch of questions about alchemy. Xiao Feng was getting bored while sitting so he decided to answer them. He is an 8th rank alchemist, there are not many questions about alchemy in the world that he can't answer. After a long session of questions and answers, Gu Ni was shocked to the core. Initially, he just wanted to know the depth of the mysterious person sitting in front of him but the more he continued , the more he got shocked. Cold sweats started appearing on his forehead. The person in front of him was like a bottomless abyss whose depth can't be measured. So,he stopped asking anymore questions but his expression grew dignified. Ya Fei saw the changes in Gu Ni's face and was stunned as well. She has never seen Gu Ni looking so respectfully at someone before. After a while, the items arrived. Xiao Feng received a total of 70000 gold coins deducting the 20000 he spent on the space ring. He was confused and asked, "Shouldn't your Miteer Auction House keep a percentage of the profit?"

"It's nothing. Mister has brought great profits to the Auction House today so, we are not deducting anything to convey our thanks. I hope Mister keeps on trusting our Miteer Auction House in the future" , Ya Fei answered with a charming smile.

"Really a business genius", Xiao Feng thought and accepted the card with 70000 gold coins. He then handed a list of medicinal materials to buy from the auction house to Ya Fei. After all the materials were arranged, he paid with his card and left. Both Ya Fei and Gu Ni went to see him off. Many people were surprised to see such a scene. After Xiao Feng left, Gu Ni and Ya Fei returned to the office.

" Master Gu Ni, what do you think of this person? "

Gu Ni only said two words which shocked Ya Fei to the core, "Mysterious and Unfathomable "

"What do you mean Master Gu Ni?"

" I initially wanted to test his depth to find out his true alchemy rank by asking him a number of questions."

"And? Did you find out?"

" No, it's like the more I dig, the more depth he shows. At first I thought he maybe a 3rd rank alchemist or 4th rank atmost. But after the discussion, I wouldn't be surprised even if he is a 5th rank alchemist or higher."

"What!" Ya Fei was shocked to hear this.

" Master Gu Ni, are you serious? "

" Absolutely. That is why I am telling you don't do something which will annoy him."

" What will I do?"

" Hmph...Little girl, I know that you are interested in his identity but if he doesn't want to reveal, it's better not to force."

"Yes, yes I know "
