Outdoors Activities Club (Prologue)

Outdoors Activities Club.

It is a club that features various recreational activities that are performed outside the school or in a natural setting. The club is completely backed by the school and several sponsors.

Since its creation, many students have yearned to join, albeit for a completely different reason. Or rather, it might be the only reason.

And right now, a heated discussion is taking place in the club's premises.

"Come on, guys! Camping is a hot topic these days! Moreover, I heard that another site had been opened just right outside the city."

A cute blonde girl energetically spoke. Her hair is tied to a side ponytail, and her emerald-green eyes seem to shine as she talks.

Her name is Alice Spencer, the de facto club president. Although her presidency was just unanimously decided, she's probably the only one who has enough enthusiasm for it. 

"I'd rather not go into a rough place like that, I just got my nails done, you know?"

It was spoken by another girl with 'hmph'. Her expressions and body language make her out as a sheltered young lady of a rich family.

That's not quite wrong, though. She's Eden Laurent. With loose auburn hair and cold silver eyes, she's something like an unattainable flower.

"But it's not a bad idea, a good physical activity is necessary once in a while"

Another surmised while fixing up her glasses. Her braided long black hair and serene blue eyes that were reflected by her glasses make her a picture-perfect smart beauty.

Elisa Maven, or as some people call her, the brains of the club. She's a student who stands at the top of academic competency.

"I agree, moreover, we've been taking it easy for a while. They may think we're just slacking off."

Angelica said. She has short silver hair and golden eyes. She's a woman who always wore a beautiful smile.

"Umu! I've also been trained for this in the past. It can be fun, especially with all of us together!"

Another girl said enthusiastically. She's Erika Hasegawa, an exchange student from a famous family. At first glance, her smooth and silky black hair, black eyes, and fair skin that lacks even the slightest scars make her seem like a sheltered lady as well.

But from what I've heard, her family owns one of the largest dojos that teaches Japanese swordsmanship. I'm sure she was taught as well, being an only child who could inherit her family's career.

Finally, everyone seemed to turn their eyes on the person beside me as she fixes her hair before speaking. She is Claire Angestel, a gorgeous woman with wavy light-purple hair and a pair of crimson-red irises. Right now, she is currently clinging to my arm due to obvious reasons.

"I agree too, a little hard activity as such shouldn't be a problem to people like 'us'. Well, at most, only someone like Eden would chicken out at something like this."

"Huh!? Are you trying to imply something?"

"You think so? Perhaps I'm trying to say that you're weak."

"Says the one who's been clinging to a man since morning, a little girl like yourself has no right to tell me that!" 

"If you're jealous, just say so."

Eden retorted to her words with a louder voice. Unfortunately, however, Claire is superior when it comes to topics such as these.

Eden tried to speak again, but when her gaze landed on me, she froze and blushed up to her neck. She quickly turned downwards.

The seemingly strong girl from earlier was reduced to that every time the topic shifted to something about love and relationships. Her emotions were so obvious that it was almost ridiculous.

"Now, now, you two never change. What about you then? What do you think, Leon?"

Alice intervened with a clap. As she said that, everyone's eyes turned to me. Thinking about it again, it shouldn't be a mere rumor that everyone wants to join this club.

These six people, they're all great women. Not just their appearance, but even their abilities and diverse personalities are something you can only possibly see in a fantasy novel.

But, I, am part of this club, and as if that wasn't good enough, I am also the only man here.

The only man in a club full of beautiful and capable women. The other guys are probably seething in jealousy right now. No, I'm a hundred percent sure they are.

"I also agree. It has been a while since we had a proper activity, might as well enjoy it."

"Then, it's decided by the majority! We will be going camping next weekend!"

Alice beamed while briefly gazing at Eden who only turned her head.

Thus, it was decided that we would be going camping this weekend, which is tomorrow already. As for the equipment, we've got enough ready in our storage. One of the perks of a famous club.

With that done, we concluded our hasty meeting and went back to each of our homes. Of course, I'm the only one who walks. Claire offered to give me a ride back home but I declined as usual. Think of it as some petty pride.

Once I arrived, all I could do was throw myself in my bed. That night, I slept with a mix of exhaustion and anticipation, unbeknownst of what will come in the morning.
