15 That time one of Zeus fears was exposed

I was hunting some animals to eat and monsters to keep the village safe in the outskirts of the village when my [Omni Universal Perception] alerted me of more than a dozen presences appearing in front of our little abode.

I sense no negative intentions coming from them, so I presume that they didn't come with a hostile intent.

But I didn't let my guard down.

I stored the animal and monster carcasses I had hunted and slay inside my dimensional space where time is at a stand still while burning the rest that I have deemed useless to avoid attracting predators before taking my leave as I cautiously approach our house looking out for our guests.

Hermes was waving his hand cheerfully behaving like a fan girl who just spotted her idol.

Zeus shrugged at the antics of his trusted subordinate.

While other gods thought of Hermes as a betrayer for leaving Zeus behind during the fall of his familia some sharp minded ones similar Loki and Freya knew that Hermes was ordered by Zeus to stay out to still have eyes in the city.

Zeus influence in the dungeon city hadn't diminished at all even after his had left.

Hermes is currently riding a tamed wyvern that was lent by the Ganesha Familia.

But before the wyvern could even reach the ground the damn god jump off to his death and if it wasn't for Asfi reacting fast to catch him midair using that flying boots of hers the god might have been sent back to heaven.

Unbeknownst to other unlike other gods Hermes can freely travel from heaven to the mortal world back and forth without any restriction.

This power is similar to something akin to an innate that cannot be bound by the world laws or his contract with Ouranus just like Freya's charm.

"Why did you do that, Hermes-sama?"

Asfi angrily screamed to Hermes's ears.

Hermes just shrugged the back of his head grinning like a fool as if nothing deadly just happened.

Zeus gave Hermes a thumbs up.

He knew why the fellow god had done something so deadly reckless.

It was to be embraced by a beauty.

Because even he would do the same thing.

The smallest of action and antics such as this being committed is something pleasurable and fun for the gods who had lived for millions of years.

The two began laughing like buddies ignoring Asfi's pissed expression.

Asfi swear that she would give Hermes a lecture after this is all over.

Hermes felt a shiver rundown his spine.

He looks back at Asfi who's giving him an eerie smile.

Zeus began whistling, turning his back from Hermes who now has a pale complexion.

Zeus even go as far as acting like he did not know the fella.

Hermes once more shrugged the back of his head.

To Hermes, Zeus is a mentor, friend, and lord he respected and admired.

They're like BFF due to having the same views and beliefs.

The only difference between them is that Zeus always wants to be in the limelight like Ganesha while Hermes is content with just being the eminence in the shadows, sometimes being the puppeteer.

Hermes just decided to prepared himself early on to the highly possible punishment that was already scheduled seeing how pissed Asfi because of his nonsensical stunt.

"I thought you'll be moving in foot?"

Asked Zeus as he led Hermes and his familia to the inside of the small dilapidated house.

"Well you see things happened…"

But before they could enter the house Hermes look to where Astraea in an awkward expression.

Zeus noticing his friend's expression also look to where Hermes eyes was at and seeing an ever so familiar face Zeus face turned solemn his hands subconsciously move to his lower body, a sweat drop can be seen on his forehead.

Yesterday after their conversation concluded Goddess Astraea decided to joined Hermes Familia in their subjugation quest.

As a goddess who resides over justice she wouldn't be able to stand still and let a scheme that can potentially endanger the life of millions let go.

But before leaving she decided to inform Loki, Ganesha, and Freya about their matter.

Loki wanted to lend some of her Familia members but was rejected on the spot by Astraea, Hermes and her captain.

Finn suspected that the Evilus might use this opportunity to trike while the city's manpower is low.

Ganesha lend them tamed wyverns and dragons for easier and faster travel.

As for the goddess Freya the woman is missing.

She didn't even inform anyone except the guild leader Royman.

Astraea pay the guild a visit to inquire where Freya had gone to and to request to leave the city.

She kindly (scared) asked Royman about Freya's whereabouts and ask permission to leave the city.

Royman didn't want to comply but his reputation and position being at stake was cornered and just give up.

Out of respect (fear) to the goddess Royman told her that Freya had gone to the kaios desert for a vacation together with her executives and accepted Astraea request to leave the city.

Zeus realizing his unmanly action scratched the back of his head.

He had once tried courting Astraea back in heaven only to almost lost his most precious family jewels and junior before the infamous sword of judgement that was said to be able to cut anything evil.

Although it was not advertised like Artemis, Athena, and Hestia; Astraea herself is one of the few virgin goddesses but unlike the three who've been courted many times only a few would dare to have the guts to court Astraea.

No male god wanting to be a genderless one because everything the blade cuts cannot be repaired.

And the same goes for a loss of a limb.

Noticing Zeus reaction after seeing her Astraea couldn't hold back a chuckle from escaping.

And this was noticed by everyone including the young boy who've been observing the situation in a safe distance all this time.
