"One year contract for this property is 200,000 nars." Aunty replies to my question.

Hearing the price I was stunned, not because it was high but because it was too low. 20 Gold, the price was much less than what I was expecting. It is true that at this price I could buy 4 of those suburban houses that the og Michio bought. But still it was like one third of the price for Roxanne, I guess instead of property, good slaves are the real luxury products of this era.

"The price has decreased a lot as no one was renting this property" Aunty explains to both of us, "But if you are really thinking about renting this then I must tell you that for the two of you, this property is too big. You will need many more people to take care of this entire property. If in the future you wanna buy this property I can even talk to the owners for you, I am sure they just want to get rid of this property at this point." Aunty gives us her advice.

"Hmm I don't have any plans for buying the property right now" I tell Aunty.

Who knows how much it will cost to buy a house, especially an Estate like this. A year is very long already so I can decide what I want slowly.

"If you are ready then you can just move in today as it's not even noon right now. So the contract can start from today until next year's 3rd day of the Spring." Aunty tells me and Roxanne.

So today is the third day of the Spring, so if this was Japan then the date would be 3rd March. And I came to this world on the first day of spring which was 1st March.

"Give us a moment"

Holding Roxanne's hand, I took her to the right side of the terrace, so aunty couldn't hear us. From here we could see the pond a bit more clearly.

"What do you think?" I asked Roxanne while looking at her.

"I will follow whatever Master decides" Roxanne simply replies.

"It will be our home for the next year. So you can say what you think, freely" I told her and started petting her smooth hair which was flowing in the wind.

"The house is very nice, very big and the whole property is also very good. I will try my best to clean and do the chores .... But Master I am not sure if I will be able to take care of such a big space" Roxanne answers while looking a bit down.

Chuckling, I rub her soft fluffy ears.

"Silly girl, we won't use the whole house right now. We can use a small part of it and we will start using more of the house and the property as our 'family' expands" I explain to her my plan.

"I understand Master" Roxanne nods in understanding.

I gave her a big smile and brought her back to aunty holding her hand.

"Alright let's rent this house" I answered Aunty with joy leaking out of my voice.

"Okay let's go back to the Knight's Order station then" Aunty also replies grinning.

We left the house, walked down to the Iron gate and walked all the way back to downtown.

"All kinds of people become Explorers, so in this town it's considered taboo to look into one's past. So we just check their Intelligence cards before giving them residence."

On the way Aunty is constantly chatting with Roxanne.

"But now that you are renting this Mansion, you will be famous sooner or later. Gossip flows the fastest in this town after all" Aunty says this while looking at me.

I think you will be the first one to spread the gossip, Aunty.

"You can make any changes to the property you want, the owner doesn't care about it. Remember to tell me if you change your mind about buying the property"

I just nod and say yes while looking around at the different shops.

We kept walking and It took us more than half an hour to come back.

At the Knight's Order station Aunty talks with a Knight. We were brought to the Knight's Order station as her Job Merchant doesn't have the Intelligence card skill. The Knight comes back with her to check my Intelligence card.

I use my Thief's skill 'Job Concealment' and my First Job which was Thief in this case got changed into Adventurer. In the Character screen it looked like Adventurer (Thief). I wasn't getting any skills or Effects of the Adventurer job even the Job description was of Thief, it just changed its name from Thief to Adventurer.

The Knight checked my Intelligence card and gave the okay. I let Roxanne see my intelligence card too as she was looking at me while it was being checked.

'Master your Intelligence card really says Adventurer', Roxanne told me through the party link

'It's a newly unlocked power, it can show any Job I want on my Identity Card even if I don't have it. But it just works for one Hour in a day', I explained my new skill in brief.

'Master is Amazing', Roxanne replies while giving me a beautiful smile.

I lied to be an Adventurer as mainly I don't want people to be suspicious as to why I can use Field walk if I am a Explorer and not an Adventurer, so for now to be seen as a high level Adventurer is the plan.

After that we came back to the Hardware store.

"We will do the contract paperwork, but can you write?" Aunty asks me as she goes inside the store.

The Language Pack from the Villager Job didn't include how to write any of this foreign language, I can read everything just fine though.

"Roxanne will write on my behalf" I replied to Aunty while looking at Roxanne.

"Certainly!" Roxanne answers with happiness.

She must be happy to use what she learned in the traders place.

"Okay then" Aunty replies while bringing out a paper.

I take a look around the Hardware store and see a Big Wok.

"What is this?" I asked Aunty while lifting it up.

"That's a pan that a professional chef uses. It is used when cooking with high heat. We're the only place that sells them around here. You probably won't see them anywhere else", says Aunty as she leaves Roxanne with the document and comes towards me.

I opened the Character reset panel and rearranged my points to activate the 35% Discount skill.

"Add that to the rent too then. What's the total?", I ask while giving Aunty a harmless smile.

"I am happy that you'd be interested in our specially made pan. That's why as a special service the total is 130,325 nars, is it ok?" Aunty replies to me with joy.

From 20 Gold to 13 Gold 3 silver and 25 copper, this is why it's my favourite skill. I hide my inner smirk and reply to her normally, "Yes it's fine."

If you wanna get slaughtered, who am I to say otherwise. I count and give her the money.

I still have loads of Gold, silver and even a platinum coin so I am not gonna need money any time soon.

Roxanne showed me the document which Aunty also checked. After that Aunty gave me all the keys to the estate while explaining to me and Roxanne which key is to be used for what. She even told us that all the houses are numbered here.

Aunty tells Roxanne to come here again tomorrow for the seeds and the hoes she asked for. Saying our goodbyes I got out of the Hardware store followed by Roxanne who was holding the wok.

We went to the Big Explorer's Guild. I used Warp and came out inside the Entrance Hall of the Mansion.
