Chapter 17

Orella and Emma transformed back into the forms they'd first been in when I'd met them then proceeded to take me to the attached dressing room.

"We'll get your old clothes cleaned," Emma began.

"But for now we need to dress you in something appropriate," Orella finished. "Nothing to fancy, but something to suit your shape."

I stood still facing a mirror and the maids brought out various types of clothing, from simple shirts to fancy vests, to trousers and robes. They had me try on a few, but it didn't matter whether I liked it or not. Apparently, a simple shirt and pair of dress pants would not do for. Eventually, they settled on a pair of black trousers and a matching black shirt and vest with silver embroidery. To complete everything, they placed a coat on my shoulder, though thet told me not to wear it like normal and instead just let it hang off.

As I looked over myself in the mirror, I had to admit I looked damn fine. The clothes ft my new body perfectly and outlined my now amazing physique. The silver embroidery was perfect against the black and the coat hanging on my shoulders made me feel like some sort of mob boss.

"Now the makeup," Emma said.

"Makeup?"

"Nothing to fancy," Orella assured me. "Just a slight touch up here and there."

It wasn't as bad as it sounded. Thye used only a small amount of powder and some other substance I wasn't familiar with. It definitely wasn't noticeable but added a brightness to my skin that made me look more handsome.

"Well, what do you think?" Emma asked as she looked me over.

"It's a masterpiece isn't it," Orella said.

"You've done an amazing job," I replied. "I definitely look far better than ever have before."

Both maids smiled at the praise then I was led out of the room, where I found Erza waiting.

Her eyes widened momentarily at my look and a small blush appeared on her face. "All done?"

I nodded. "What do you think?"

Erza looked me up and down. "You looked fantastic. Did your body change?"

"System," I replied to which Erza nodded.

"Oh, well Lady Julia is waiting for us in one of the dining halls," Erza explained.

"Then let's not keep her waiting any longer."

Erza led me through the manor and I took the time to take in the place. It was truly a beautiful home with spotless floors and walls, and a few types of decorations from simple paintings of landscapes and people I wasn't familiar with to intricately carved statues. Maids and servants bustled about and to my surprise bowed whenever we passed by. Most seemed to stop and stare at me in awe which I was confused about at first until I remembered just how I looked now. I had a super soldier body with an amazing set of clothes chosen by two high priestesses of a goddess of beauty. If anyone would know how to make someone look good it would be those two.

We made it to a set of double doors and Erza knocked thrice.

"Erza is that you?" Julia's voice sounded from the other side. "There's no need to knock, come in, come in. Our meal will be ready in just a short few minutes."

Erza opened the doors and we stepped into a fairly large and open-spaced dining room with a large and long wooden table at its center covered by an embroidered cloth. Set out were three settings, with multiple types of utensils, and the room was lit by the sun which poured in from three large windows and an open balcony. There was a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling, but no flame lit its candles.

"Oh my." Julia sounded breathless and I turned to see her looking me up and down with wide eyes. "David, is that truly you? You looked like a completely different man."

I smiled. "A bit of magic. I was concealing this from earlier, and well the rest is thanks to the amazing maids I had."

"Shapeshifting," Julia asked as her eyes took in my face.

"Sort of," I half lied. "Do I look good?"

"Good?" Julia sounded confused. "You look like a dashing nobleman or even a prince. I can see why you chose not to show this in public. I don't think any lady would be able to look away."

I tried not to blush at her words as I sat down in one of the three seats. "T-tahnk you."

Now that I was closer I could see the utensils were made out of glass or at least something that looked like glass. It had a golden sheen and was so intricately carved that it had to be by magic.

"Amazing isn't it," Julias said. "They came with the manor. This pale has been up for sale for years apparently, but it was far too expensive for most, and those at the higher levels didn't really have a need for it, as for the king and queen? Well, why a manor when you already have a castle."

It's beautiful," Erza commented. "The manor that is."

"My mother does have a keen eye for the beauty," Julia said as she turned to me. "Speaking of beauty, how did you get along with those two maids?"

"Fine," I said with a blush.

"Oh I bet it was more than fine," Julia chuckled. "But I won't press. Now before our meal is severed, I want to ask if the two of you will accompany me out to the city tomorrow. Erza and I will still have our day together, but I wish to see the city with the two of you."

"We'll be more than glad to," I said and Erza nodded in agreement. "We can find out more about the guild clash and competitions as well."

"Then that's settled," Julia replied as a few of the side doors opened and maids with carts and trays entered. "And here is our food, we are in for a treat. My mother hired some fantastic cooks."

Tray and after tray was brought out, and all manner of food was set on the table, some of which looked familiar while others didn't. Strips of steak in a gravy-like sauce, something that looked very similar to shawarma, a dish that speed similar to crab cakes, and many other dishes.

Instead of serving ourselves, all we had to do was to point to a dish and one of the maids would palace some on our plate, and would also refill our wine glasses whenever they were even slight empty.

No matter what I tried, each dish tasted amazing. The sheer variety of flavors was breathtaking, and I truly understood what the characters in a show like food wars felt like. It truly was an experience. Erza mugged the way Julia ate, thought at a faster speed while I just guessed as to which utensil was meant for each dish. Luckily the maids were there to help, at least when they weren't staring at me. Did I really look that good?"

When we had all had our fill, the maids took away what was left, but that wasn't the end. Cakes and all manner of desserts were brought out. Erza didn't care this time, She gobbled down every bit she could much to Julia's amusement.

"A sweet tooth is it?" Julia asked. "Another thing you have in common with my sister. I can wait till the two of you meet."

I sat back and sipped at my wine as the maids took away the last of the plates and trays. "That was a treat, no doubt."

"I'd have liked some spicy dishes mixed in," Julias said. "But yes it definitely was. Now, I think I'm going to get some rest. If you could meet me in my room, David, I have some things I wish to discuss with you. Erza if you want more baked treats then just ask any of the maids. As for your room, a servant can lead you there."

Julia shot me a warm smile as she left the room, and I wondered what exactly she wanted to talk about. Perhaps about tomorrow? Whatever it was, after all, she'd done, I wasn't going to reject her request.
