Chapter 12

Quick Note: I just wanna clear a few things up. The worlds the mc will be traveling to will be original worlds that I've created and have no doubt, each will be interesting and pose challenges for the MC. Also, there will be times when it will feel more like a slice of life novel and there will be a lull in things, but don't worry there is a ton of action to come. If you've read my summoning fic or aether beasts then you know what to expect.

Next is the topic of powers. I don't want to make him super op too early. He will get a wide variety of powers, and companions. Also to people who complain about the 18+ parts, what did you expect? This novel is called the HAREM house of the multiverse. It's a fanfic focused on action, adventure, r18, and progression.

I also want to clarify one thing, the mc is not perfect and as a character should, has flaws and problems that he will solve and work through as the story progresses.

That's all I have to say. I've taken my p@treon down because I'm making a few changes to it and it will back up at a later time.

I was shaken awake by Dale when it was time for my shift. I yawned and got to my feet as I inspected my surroundings. Everyone was still asleep, and I could see Erza had done something similar to me. She'd found a tree and was lay back on it, sleeping peacefully.

I nodded to Dale who yawned and made his way to his sleeping roll.

It was still dark, but I could see a bit of light peeking out over the horizon, so the morning was probably only an hour or two away.

As I leaned back on a tree and kept watch, I thought about my plans for the day. I wanted to ask Dale a few more questions and hopefully get to the capital as well. Once there we'd need to find a place to stay and then figure out things from there. The guild clash was definitely something I wanted to find out more about and perhaps even participate in.

Out of curiosity, I brought up my status.

I immediately noticed the fifteen new C-points I'd received, which made me wonder how I got them. Had it been by simply exploring and being in another universe, or had it been killing the goblins? I wished I had some sort of way of finding out through the system, but it seemed I'd have to wait until another opportunity arose.

Soon the night was banished by the rising of the sun, and one by one the villagers began to wake. We ate some dry bread and meat for breakfast which tasted like nothing and felt like rubber, but I wasn't going to complain. It was better than nothing, that was for sure. I also didn't want to come off as some sort of rich snob. Back on earth, the food I normally ate would be seen by these people would see as rich people's food.

Once we'd done eating we continued our journey and it seemed like we were going to make it to the capital without incident. That was until we heard the screaming, and shouting. I glanced over and Erza and Dale who had both turned in the direction of the noise.

"Dale you stay here with these people," I said. "Erza and I will go see what going on up ahead."

The soldier nodded and then Erza and I took off. She ran much faster than me, but the screaming wasn't coming from too far away, so luckily I didn't have to run much and we both got there in a few minutes.

We were greeted with a familiar sight. Goblins, though this time there were at least three dozen of the green-skinned creatures, and they were all surrounding a rich-looking carriage that was being defended by two men, who both looked moments away from the death. They were both clad in chainmail armor and on the ground near them lay over half a dozen other armored men.

The goblins jumped in close to the men, took a swipe, and then jumped back. They were enough of them and they were fast enough that the two remaining men couldn't get a hit off, and the goblins flinging rocks at them wasn't helping.

Erza and I didn't wait, and we both charged towards the horse of goblins. Erza got there well before me, and blood sprayed into the air as she tore her way through them with ease. Just before I arrived, I turned the lower half of both my arms including my hands into two long blades. The goblins shrieked and tried to strike me, but I just blocked and used my blade to swipe at them. One tried to go for my leg, but I quickly turned it into a blade and his small sword bounced off with a clang, though it did tear through my jeans. For that, I took his head off at the shoulders. I cut through three more, then looked up to find Erza standing among the corpses of the rests, an annoyed look on her face.

"No challenge," She said.

"I doubt we'll find much in this forest that's a challenge for you," I replied with a chuckle.

"Indeed," A smooth voice said, and I looked over to see a young woman, stepping down from the carriage. "I was quite worried, my men would be killed for sure and I, taken by these… green savages."

The woman was dressed in an elegant blue dress that went all the way to her ankles. It was embroidered with golden patterns, and matching it was a silver cloak that hung around her shoulders. Her hair was up in an intricate bun and her blue eyes shone with interest and intelligence.

"I'm Julia." She smiled as she looked between Erza and I. "Well? May I have the names of my gallant heroes?'

"Oh, ermm, im David and that Erza."

"Erza?" Julia noted. "An odd name, yet it fits you quite well, and such fine features, oh and that hair. You must tell me how you get it to look os natural"

"It is natural," Erza replied, but Julia was already on another topic

Julia sighed as she looked over to her dead guards. "It's unfortunate so many of men perished, but we must not delay. Richard, Heldwin, collect the bodies and bury them then mark the location. I'll have men sent to collect them when we arrive at the capital."

Julia turned back to us. "As for you two, would you care to ride with me?"

"We would, but we have some people with us," I replied. "Villagers who escaped from a goblin attack, they're led by a soldier. We found them in much the same way we found you."

"I see," Julia replied. "Well then, go bring them here and we shall travel together. The capital is but a few hours away."

"Erza go get them, I'll remain here," I said.

The redhead sent her sword away with a flash of light then headed back to Dale and the others while I morphed my blades back into my normal limbs. The act caught the eye of Julia who gazed curiously at me.

"Magic?" She asked.

"Yes," I lied. "Innate magic."

"Interesting, well I'll see you inside, I'm going to catch the flu if I remain out here." With that said the woman who I assumed was a noble of some sort turned and reentered her carriage.

I looked over at the two men who seemed to be struggling with digging so I headed over and began to help. The two-man looked at me oddly but didn't deny my aid, especially not when I turned my hands into wide shovel blades and used them to dig. Soon there was a large grave and the two men stacked the bodies into it, and I pilled the dirt back on.

Just as we finished, Erza arrived back with Dale and the others.

Dale's eyes went wide when he looked at the carriage, or more specifically, the crest at its side. A silver and blue rose.

"I've explained everything to him," Erza said. "They'll walk beside and behind the carriage."

"That sounds good," I said then turned to Dale. "If you spot anything, then make sure you call us immediately, ok?"

He nodded, but his eyes remained on the crest. I opened my mouth to ask him about it but was cut off as Julia's voice sounded.

"Have they arrived?" Julia asked. "If so then come in and let us be on our way, we don't want to remain still for any other creatures that might come out way."

I nodded once more to Dale then together with Erza, I headed inside the carriage.
