1 Chapter 1

"Mills my office now please," I snap my head up from my book hearing my teacher Mr. Lee's voice next to me. I close my book and place it in my bag throwing the brown strap over my shoulder I caught up to Mr. Lee my blond hair bouncing as a walked and stood next to him. We walked in a slightly uncomfortable silence as we walked up to his office door. He slowly opened his door and moved to the side letting me in, I step in and walk towards his desk still standing.

"how can I help you Mr. Lee?" I asked looking around his office I heard the click of the door, thinking it was just closing I let it go.

"Ariel call me Charles when we're alone," Mr. Lee said walking closer to me.

"No disrespect but I do not think that would be appropriate for a teacher and student," I say looking at the butterfly tacked to his wall.

"honestly Ariel you can be so innocent," he said I looked at him confused.

"sir class will be starting soon, and I would like to finish my book, what did you need me for Mr Lee?" I asked once more my patience running thin. he took a large step closer to me making me take a small step back so there was some distance.

"Ariel, I don't think you understand what I'm trying to do," he says I looked at him slightly confused till he had placed a hand on my cheek making me flinch and pull my head away.

"I'm leaving!" I say as I try to get passed but he grabs my arm pulling me back. I quickly flip him over my back nocking the air out of him I ran to the door and tried to open it, only to find it locked I tried to unlock it but I got pulled by my hair pulling me away from the door and making me hiss in pain. He grabbed my neck and threw me on the wall making the butterfly fall to the ground, I slightly chuckle.

"Dame I didn't think it would actually happen," I mermmerd to my self Mr. Lee growled as he pushed on my throut cutting off my air. I kicked his side sending him to the other side of the room. I fell to the ground and caught my breath I stood up and walked over to Mr. Lee.

"Charles Lee you are under arrest for trying to seduce minors in your school office," I unlocked the door to see the Yard there to take the man.

"he's all yours boys," I say and walk out the door grabbing my bag and walking out the door, I walk out to my carriage seeing my butler holding open the door.

"Glad to see you safe mistress," he said with a smile on his face.

"thank you Adren, I would like some Lunch lets go somewhere,"

"of course my lady, but we have to be quick we need to see the queen she has a new case," I nodded as I walked into the carriage sitting on one side leaning my back against the side and placeing my feet in the other side I grabbed my book out of my bag as Adren sat on the other side and smiled I smiled back.

"Adren, by any chance do you think you could pick me up another book like this on I really injoyed it?" I asked as I finished the last page of the book, I heard a small chuckle come from him.

"your the fastest reader I have ever known my lady, yes I'll get you another one," he said with a large grin.

"thank you," I said as we came to a halt a a local cafe.

"Adren, let's just take our order to go," I said he nodded as we left and got our meal.

We walk up the step of the palace, I see the queens butler Mr. Gray standing there holding the door open, I nod at him as he dose me as Adren and I walk into the main Hall. I walk to the queens office and nock on the door.

"Come in," I hear a gruff Lady's voice, Adren opens the door and let's me in, I walk forward to see two men in the room as well as the queen. I look over to see a boy that looks to be my age, with blue hair and an eye patch, I look over to a man that wore a Butler's uniform he had black hair, pail skin, and those red eyes, Michaelis, I thought biterly he looked at me surprised. I bow and look at the queen.

"how can I help you my queen?" I asked she smiles and motioned me to sit, I do in an oposit couch from the boys Adren sat next to me surprising the two boys.

"there have been some resent murders in England and I want you two to work together, I was thinking, Lady Mills could stay with you Ciel, " she said I nodded as dose Ciel looking towards my direction.

"Ariel, please make sure this is done in less then two weeks darling, oh and how was you last mission, I see you have slight brusing on you arm and neck," she asked.

"it was a success the Yard has Charles Lee in custody. now he won't hurt another young girl," I said holding my head high.

"amazing and great timeing you did this in under two days," she said sending me a smile I sent her one as well.

"Alright I'll see you two in two weeks with a report," she said we both nodded and we stood up Adren and I shook her hand the boys looked even more suprised as me and Adren walked out, I shot Sebastian with a cold glare as we did, I waited for the boy out in the main Hall talking to Mr. Gray as I waited. the boys finally came down I faced the boy.

"Alright let's get this case done with," I said about to turn away when he stopped me.

"is something wrong?" I asked

"what is your name?" he asked.

"Mills, Ariel Mills, the queens stray cat," I said waching Sebastian taking to Adren making me glare at him.

"we must be off," I said as Ciel nodded we walked to the door as Adren took my hand helping me down the stairs and into the carriage we waited for Ciels carriage to take off then we followed close behind.

"my lady, here's a new book for you," Adren said handing me a new book. I quickly grabed it a smile on my face.

"thank you so much," I said he smiled once more as we pulled up to the Phantomhive manor.
