2 Another Beginning of a Fairy Tale 2

"Let's fight! This is like all those RPG and system novels and webtoon kinds of stuff! " Someone shouted.

It was a group of teenagers heading to the goblins with only bats and pipes on their hands.

But their short-term adventure was cut short. Goblins just jumped to one of them. And stabbed the poor kid all over and over.

That was truly a fast hit of reality.

"Ahhhh!" They screamed and droped down their weapons. Most of them ran away after seeing the grotesque scene except for one.

"Help-help me! Aacrk!"

The one who shouted before tried to shook off the goblins by throwing a bike he got to who knows where.

The goblins, caught off guard, got hit by it. While the guy wasted no time immediately carried his bloody peer.

'What a good friend.'

"Ahhh!"

"Help me!"

Others who were caught screamed as they were beaten and stabbed.

Despite the turmoil, I remained in my position. Then gaze up at the dragon, who has gone silent and wasn't moving an inch.

"The Bahamut." Someone spoke to my side.

'Yes. It was the Bahamut. Huh? Wait, did he just say Bahamut? If he knows what that dragon is? then it means his...'

Before I can look beside me,

"Grah!" Two goblins were running and heading in my direction.

This?!

My eyes widened as my heart started beating faster. I need to get-away here!

'Run!'

'That's right! I need to run!'

But my feet won't move?! The goblins were getting closer.

My body was already trembling. I felt cold sweats in my palm, head, and back!

What this?! Am I frozen in fear right now? Me? Who had always been told to be calm in any kind of situation? I'm even calm when I witnessed those scenes before! But what now?!

Move! Move! Move! They were very close, so close now. My heart beat faster and it felt so difficult to breathe.

*gasp!* *gasp!*

"Mo-move! Move! Damn it!"

"Ahh!" I screamed as one of the goblins jumped with its knife directed at me.

"Bang! Bang!" My senses seem to came back as I heard those gunshots. The two goblins fell down

"Kid, your okay now." It's the lady cop from before!

Though I wanted to retort that I'm not a kid. I used the time and took deep breaths to stabilize my palpating heart. I closed my eyes and whispered to myself 'Calm down Via'. I felt that I finally relaxed a little.

"Tha-thank you, lady cop." My voice was still trembling but somehow my nerves were finally calm.

"It's okay kid. It's my duty to protect people and just call me *Ate Jess."

(A/N: *Ate is a Filipino term to call an elder woman or elder sister respectively.)

"It's Vialyn, Via for short," I said but my eyes immediately locked on the goblins.

"Look out! They are standing again."

"Normal Bullets would not kill them." I and Ate Jess look to the man who spoke.

|||He had short down black hair. He still wore his black polo and slack pants from work. He realized that the novel <Dead Fairy Tale>, he read came to life.

He analyzed everything with calmness in his eyes.

"I would like to buy the <Everlast Sword>."

He said to the system without bothering looking on the ◇Fairytale Shop◇

A long sword having a faint white light appears to his hands. It was the <Everlast Sword>.

The sword that grew as the owner also got stronger. -J.O.E|||

It was Rey Walden. The protagonist of the novel Zash wrote. He was exactly what the <Journey of End> described.

He also did the same things in the novel. He slashed the two goblins' feet. Which made them unable to move now.

"Grah!" The two goblins cry with pain before Rey knocks them down completely.

"Wait! Are you not going to kill them?" Ate Jess yelled.

"No. It only says that we need to defeat it and not kill them." Rey responded.

"But what if they wake up and hurt people?" Ate Jess continued speaking.

"If that happens, kill them if you want." Rey dashed towards the other goblins.

"Mama!" We heard a loud cry from a girl. Jess and I look in the direction of the shout.

Behind a grey car, a small, salivating, humanoid green creature, a goblin for short, is heading towards a little girl with two pigtails and wearing a white blouse along with a blue skirt.

She was trying to shake a woman who was lying on the ground and bleeding.

'Hmmm. Wait! I remembered that brown shirt. It was that woman! The one back on the bus, who complains to me a lot!'

At the same time, Jess ran in the girl's direction. Someone also ran past me and headed towards the girl. She grabbed, carried her, and tried to ran away.

"Bang! Bang!" Though Jess knew that her guns were useless, she still fired them since they can halt at least the goblin's movements. Making more time for the two girls to run.

And there was no mistake. It's one of the supporting female leads, Celene Bree. She is clad in her navy blue school uniform with a white jacket. The jacket has the flag of straw hat pirates in the back.

She kept running while hugging the little girl. But then she didn't notice the little bump on her way.

"Look out!" I shouted.

She tripped.

When she fell down, she reversed her body, so that she would be the one to receive the impact of the fall instead of the kid while closing her eyes.

But she didn't fall. A man appeared and caught her. He was wearing an all-black combat attire. He waves his long sword glowing with dark light towards the incoming goblins.

Lines from the novel resurfaced again in my mind.

|||The protagonist of <Dead Fairy Tale> that Rey read, Argaux Grimm. His short messy silver hair standout along with his piercing cold blue eyes.

He raised his <dark sword> and cut down the goblins cruelly. -J.O.E|||

Unlike Rey who refused to kill, Argaux is much crueler who killed easily and brutally with no remorse.

"I can't believe this, this is exactly the novel of <Dead Fairy Tale>. It's really him, Argaux Grimm." Rey said out loud.

I didn't notice that he was beside me and watching the scene too.

'Hah! Me either, I can't believe that all of you are here and this is happening. But I need to accept it now or else I'll never survive.'

'And I must say, all of you are all good looking like how Zash portrays you. Dang, it!'

*Swoosh!*

Rey rushed forward as he continued knocking goblins on his way.

'Ah, I forgot to tell you. The <Journey of End> focuses on the story, where the novel that the main lead, Rey read which is <Dead Fairy Tale> suddenly came to life.'

'Now as what happened to Rey, the scenes of the novel <Journey of End> was now actually happening in front of me.'

(A/N: So it would be like this if some are still confused: Argaux<Rey<Via = DeadFairytale<J.O.E<H.E.A )< p>

Celene, Argaux, and Rey. They were all here now in front of me. And these Apocalypse...

"System. I want to buy the <White Dragon Twin Blade>."

Memories flashed to my mind.

" Via if you are given the chance to create a story where everyone gets a happy ending, would you be able to do it?" Zash said as she continued writing in her notebook.

I'm currently peeling some apples for her.

"I dunno. It seems a lot of work."

"Via!" Zash pouted at my answer.

"Sigh. If that truly gives a happy ending to everyone then why not? Here!" I gave one slice of apple to Zash. Which she accepted gladly.

"Then let's do our best with that Via." She said with this sublime soft smile plastered on her face as she continued to write.

Then that night that day, Zash died in her sleep when she is having an operation on her heart.

"Zash. Is this perhaps the meaning of your words back then?" I ran towards the other goblins who were heading to the little girl's mom.

I threw myself towards them.

*Boogsh!*

It stumbled down with my surprise attack. With no further delay, I stabbed the blades on its thigh. Just like Rey, I didn't intend to kill any goblins too.

*Grah!*

It cried with pain. He tried to shake me off but I stabbed the other dagger too on its thigh.

*Grah!* *Grah!* The goblin struggled but I held firm.

*Grah!* *Grah! *Gra...*

Finally, due to the extreme pain it experienced, it collapsed.

*Ding!*

I pulled out the daggers from the goblin. I finally defeated my first monster.

This time I managed to calm down though my hands were still shaking. But It was the first step I need to take if I wanted to survive now.
