Chapter 2: Edited*

When Kurama walked in the house, he was expecting a large space filled with dull colors and multiple houses, but it was quite the opposite. The house was medium-sized with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a large backyard for training. The walls were a dark brown color, floors were a bright colored bamboo wood, and Kurama only saw 2 windows in the living room and nowhere else. Light barely seemed to seep through the curtains and Minato didn't even have lights on the ceiling, there were just lamps sitting on the cabinets next to the one and only couch in the living room, at least it was a long couch.

The most surprising thing that Kyuubi saw was that there were no accessories. There were the necessities, but there were no pictures or decorations, such as a vase of flowers. All he saw in the living room, was a large L-shaped couch, a t.v., and a radio with a set of CDs next to it. In the kitchen there were the necessities like cups, plates, bowls, refrigerator, ingredients, and a lot of ramen in there.

"I'm sorry if there isn't anything that catches your eyes," Minato said, "I never bothered with it."

"That's fine with me," replied Kurama, "though I wonder why you never bothered to."

Minato looked to the side with his head downwards, and his hair covering his eyes. Kyuubi looked at him, sighed and then said, "if you don't want to tell, you don't have to." With that Minato looked up with a surprised look and did a kind and bright smile at him.

Minato gave Kurama a tour of the house, the only problem was that there was only one room available. That room was Minato's. That's right, in the big house there was only one room available. This reason was because Minato thought the guest rooms were storage rooms, so he filled them with items that were given to him throughout the years. Each room had different things in there that separated them by subject and memory. In those 'storage rooms' were also all of Minato's accessories. Kurama gave him the look that called Minato stupid.

"I'm not stupid!" He protested.

"Then can you explain why the guest rooms are storage rooms," Kurama teased.

"Err...well...they were empty and I had to use them for something."

Kurama laughs "you were going to use them, there is a term called guests, what were you going to do if you had to shelter kages or important people in your village and hotels weren't for them?"

"Ahahaha~" Minato chuckled and put his hand behind his head.

"And you call yourself Hokage," Kurama muttered.

"Hey! I was elected from the acknowledgement of the Sandaime and because of who I am...I think," Minato weakly retorted.

"Ok, whatever." Kurama sighs with a light chuckle at Minato's red ears.

Minato went to set something up for Kurama to sleep on, while Kurama sat on the couch and looked out the window. Minato dug through his closets and storage rooms looking for a futon. As he looked through the boxes and drawers, the commotion was so big it nearly caused a landslide if Kurama wasn't there to save Minato before the boxes bulldozed him, pulling him towards the doorway as the boxes and items fell to the ground. Minato was pulled into Kurama's chest as he looked at the hell that happened in the room. Tears seemed to come out at his tear ducts as he looked at Kurama with puppy eyes asking for help.

"Fine~" Kurama says giving in to Minato.

One by one, they stacked the boxes against the wall. Kurama made Minato organize the stacks by category. Like one corner would have futons, blankets and necessities for guests sleeping over and another corner would hold clothings that were no longer used and were too small.

"Why do you have such old things?" Kurama inquired.

"....Because it has sentimental value to me," Minato hesitantly answered, his back was to Kurama but Kurama could see that in Minato's hands was his genin clothing and the first seal he made since he started learning fuinjutsu.

The conversation seemed to end at that moment, both busy with organizing the boxes and categorizing them. Through the process of doing it to the other 2 storage rooms, Minato found Kurama a futon to sleep in along with blankets and pillows. They set it up next to Minato's queen sized bed that was pushed against the wall underneath a window allowing space for Kurama to sleep at night. Once set up, they decided to take a short break but Kurama was filled with boredom after working the whole afternoon and towards the early evening.

"Hey, Minato-san, I'm gonna go out for a walk, would you like to come with me?" He asked.

'Wow, now he calls me with -san." Minato thought.

"Hmm, sure, I guess I could come and please just call me Minato, Kurama-kun."

"Ok~, but only if you address me at Kurama-sama" Kurama replies, faking a haughty sound, sticking his nose up in the air.

"Kurama, if we are to address ourselves through a title of which you don't seem to have, I would have you call me Minato-sama as well then," Minato jokingly retorts with a smile that says 'I'm not joking'.

"Then Minato it is," Kurama recedes defeat with both his hands up showing surrender.

His gesture put Minato at ease as he told Kurama to wait as he got himself ready to leave. Minato tied his head band loosely around his neck and left his 'Yondaime Hokage' cloak in his closet. He now wore a black, tight shirt with sleeves that went down, right above his elbows. His pants were a dark blue and had bandages wrapped below his knees and stopped before his ankles. To complete his look he wore the thin ninja sandals showing his bare toes. As Minato got ready, Kyuubi decided to change as well. He changed to a dark red anbu shirt covered by a black see-through haori. His pants were like Minato's except they were colored black instead of a dark blue. Once they were all set, Minato led Kurama through the back door. Kurama questioned Minato before they got too far, in doing so Minato led Kurama to a living room window and showed him the fence that blocked the house from the main road. The fence was up to Minato's chest in height and a dark brown color, and up against the fence was a mob. In front of his house was a large group of girls that had hearts in their eyes and drooling mouths, waiting to see Minato. To regular people they were just girls with a weird face, but to bishounen. They were hell's dogs and had they faces saying 'I'm going to rip him of his clothes and **** him.' Seeing the situation, they proceeded to the back door and jumped to the rooftops until they left the busy night life in the market.

When Minato looked at Kurama, he thought 'he moves like a ninja and talks like a ninja in a way, so maybe I'll ask him later about it.'

"I know you're wondering why I move and talk like a ninja, and I'll tell you why after we get to know each other more." Kurama said right away, know what Minato thought with a grin.

Minato turned away from Kurama's eyes, keeping his eyes straight ahead as if he hadn't been looking at Kurama. Kurama glanced at Minato and unconsciously he had a small grin on his face for a while. Later that night, Minato led Kurama back to the marketplace to eat dinner.

"So where are we eating?" Kurama questions as he looks around.

"We are going to eat at Ichiraku's Ramen," Minato says with a smile.

"Ichiraku's Ramen?"

"Yep! It has the best ramen in the world, you have to eat some!" Minato says with gusto and confidence.

And with that statement Minato dragged Kurama over to Ichiraku's Ramen as fast as possible, but this action didn't faze Kurama a bit as he kept up with Minato. Once they got to Ichiraku's, Minato ordered a beef ramen and Kurama ordered miso ramen. After 10 bowls from Minato and 3 different flavored bowls from Kurama, Minato paid Teuchi and they left to wander to the marketplace buying snacks, clothing, weapons, and some accessories for eyes and hair. Kurama bought some earrings with a blue pearl-shaped pendant dangling from a small chain. The blue was the same color as Minato's eyes so Kurama bought it on impulse. On the other hand, Minato bought Kurama a hair pin. The pin was a silver stick with a fox design, dangling from the tip were three red beads. The tails of the fox swirled around the stick making the stick thicker and layers. After buying these, they went back to Minato's place to unpack and organize Kurama's stuff and the things they bought. Afterwards, they went to sleep.
