76 An existence I ignored

"I wish I knew how to move forward, but that's something that's not possible as long as you're here," Carson whispered.

Carson jumped up and hit him with a flying knee strike.

His knee connected with Vannox face and flung him backward.

Vannox got back up and spat out some blood.

"So you knew some Martial Art techniques, huh" Vannox questioned. "I wasn't given such privilege, I fear.

Zenkai looked around and started walking. It was like he was in their world, but a shadow version of it; nothing but people's fear and darkness lived within Carson's ability; everyone's darkest secrets and horrors came to life.

A man who looked like Zenkai appeared out of thin air and walked toward him.

"Come here, my son he said."

The demons outside the barrier lifted their designated weapon and made the walls smaller, then went back into it, and the fight continued.

The area around them was destroyed as both fighters traded blows. Not one was falling behind the other.

Zenkai looked at the figure in front of him and walked away.

"What's taking them so long to free me." He thought.

Vannox moved his arm back and was ready to land a blow to Carson's face.

Carson moved his head toward the punch to stop the acceleration in the attack lowering the damage.

He then jumped in the air and hit a 360 kick to Vannox's mouth, kicking him miles away.

Vannox was on the ground and looked at the demon above him.

"Hey," Vannox said. He jumped back to his feet and killed the demon.

"That guy just kicked me through my barrier."

Vannox sighed and moved his hand up.

Carson stood there and looked at a Vannox staff shake in the ground and rush back toward him.

Carson lifted his as well and rushed toward Vannox with an attack planned out.

"But there are times when what?" The other spoke.

"Let's not worry about it; it didn't apply to that situation." … spoke.

"You never tell me anything." She said.

"I'm telling you everything that matters." … spoke.

Vannox caught his staff and lifted it, ready to counter Carson speeding toward him.

Their staff collided and pushed each other backward.

Vannox powered up another punch, but Carson negated the damage again.

Vannox was quick on the second hand; Carson was already ready for it.

Vannox created a gap between them and put his hand on the ground.

"The world's most excellent soldier shall join me." Vannox lifted his hand and pulled out a warrior dressed in gold armor and a great sword over his shoulders.

Carson also put his hand on the ground.

"As a demon, I've watched you, humans, for millenniums."

"The counter to your soldier, his greatest rival, shall appear."

Carson pulled out a soldier as well, who was in all-black armor with a war bonnet. He had a long staff in his left hand and looked toward Vannox.

"Attack," Vannox screamed.

Vannox soldier put his hands on his great sword and ran toward the other soldier. Their weapons coming in contact made a great bang to be heard from many demons. They dropped what they were doing and headed toward the sound.

The soldiers continued their relentless attacks, none giving up to the other.

Vannox looked to the side and saw Carson getting ready to run toward him again.

Carson moved his hands and caught onto Vannox, and tackled him to the ground. He clenched his fist and was ready to strike.

The ground got dark, Carson disappeared, and so did all the demons, spirits, and barriers.

He got back up and wiped the dirt off himself. He continued walking and ran into a man in a cloak with a long black scythe.

"Do you not fear what's to come?" The man spoke.

Vannox closed his eyes and then spoke.

"It's not that I don't fear it; it's just that I believe there's nothing I can do to change what's to come. All my fighting does is deny my existence to run away from my demon fate."

"Is that how you see it?" The man said.

"I ran away for too long. I should have died a long time ago, but every time a crisis came toward me, I got saved."

"Because your death isn't to die to those things."

"That's precisely why I no longer cared about anything. Even though I was cursed, I was still blessed. I followed a God, but that God ended up taking me to hell with him. It's funny; Zenkai walking us through this probably is symbolic of judgment," He chuckled.

"Aren't you going to help him now?" The guy questioned.

"I wish I could, but after I return from here, I believe my time is over."

The man moved his hand up, and Vannox looked back at Carson, who coated his hand with black markings and slammed his fist into his face knocking him out.

Carson stood back up and looked at Vannox. He lifted his staff and aimed it down at Vannox.

Lifting the staff in the air, he got ready to strike Vannox.

Carson held his staff in the air for some time and still looked down at Vannox. He grabbed his head and dropped the staff. He walked away.

Sin appeared in a small town and looked around. He walked into a restaurant and sat down, and ordered something to eat.

Soon after, a man put his feet on Sin's head.

"Are you that guy that was supposed to meet us here?" The man spoke.

Sin grabbed the man's feet and flipped him over. The guy landed on his toes with his hands still in his pockets and looked toward Sin.

"Wow, that was a good throw, so you must be Sin."

"What's your group's name, and why are you running around as if you Eclipse." Sin questioned.

"Eclipse has become inactive if anything; I was just making the world know you guys are still here." He answered with a grin.

"So who are you guys, fucking hotel or some shit." Sin said.

"Haha, no, it wasn't that, but we changed our name to Hospice." The guy grabbed a cup of water and walked out the door.

"Try not to bug us, Eclipse, because fighting is something neither side can afford."

He left the restaurant and headed toward his group.

"Welcome back, Yeon." A female girl with a slim waist and long black hair said with a huge smile.

"Where are we heading now." Another guy with curly white hair and ripped jeans with a white tee said.

"I'm tired of this shitty town. I was thinking we go to the great Jadia. What do you all think?"

The group all yelled.

"Tick tock, I'm coming for you, Earth conqueror," Yeon said with a laugh "what a corny name."
