New Job

I woke up feeling very excited, I jumped off my bed and ran to the kitchen, I took a seat at the table and ate my breakfast as fast as I could, I finished eating and thanked the staff before running to my lab, I quickly unlocked my new computer to test his performance and I have to say I was not disappointed, this computer was much better than the last one,

I stopped drooling over it and began to work, for now, I will focus on creating an A.I this will help me speed up my research by a lot so without further ado, I started to type the base code for my A.I, this continued like that for the next two weeks when I finally completed it,

" I have a question, sir, I was looking for any information online when I stumbled on the topic about the creation of a Smart A.I and the method differ from the one you used for me why? "

" Good question, it differs because I tried a new method for your creation, like Smart A.I you have no limitations in your dynamic memory-processor matrix, can learn and comprehend from your surrounding but unlike them, your matrix was not created by scanning a human brain, so you will take more time to form emotional response but you will not have their limited lifespan, "

I already started working on her body, I will keep the design she has in the game but I will upgrade it with better tech,

Miniaturized Gauss weaponry for infantry, Deflector shield(Star Trek), Force Fields(Star Trek), Medi-Gel(Mass effect), Omnitool(Mass effect), Slipspace drive that could travel 300 Ly per day, Impulse Drive(Star Trek), and Subspace communication that work even in Slipspace, etc....

Now I was on my way to the spaceport with EDI to go to Reach where ONI proposed me to work for them as a civilian consultant, we arrived at the spaceport where we boarded the spaceship that will take us to Reach,

The journey took less than one hour with the new Slipspace drive, we were barely off the ship when a woman called out to me, " Doctor Misriah? " I nodded " Lieutenant Elaine Thorn from ONI section three, I am here to take you to the SWORD base," she took us to a pelican and we departed.

After arriving at our destination, EDI and I separated with her going to the lab they gave me while I was led to a room with people seated around a table, I greeted them and took a seat myself, there was a few persons that I recognized but one grabbed my attention, Dr. Catherine Halsey, the future 'Mother'' of the SPARTAN-II soldiers interesting,

The door of the room opened and a man came through, he took the head seat and spoke,

" First I would like to thanks everyone for being here, I am Vice Admiral Michael Stanforth head of Office of Naval Intelligence Section Three, you are here because each of you is a pioneer in your field, during your stay here you will be assigned to top secrets projects so if one you blurt these secrets you will be terminated, am I clear?" to which we all nodded,

" You will be briefed about your assignment tomorrow, does anyone has questions?," no one spoked, " then your dismissed," with that I left the room,

I arrived at my lab, closed the door, and sat at my computer, and spoke," Did you do what I asked?" I said to EDI

" Yes sir, everything in this lab is completely secure now," she said while sitting beside me, she is currently in her human disguise named Eva Core, only ONI top brass knew about her true nature but nobody besides me knew the true extent of how powerful she was,

" How does your new body perform? ", I asked, her current body was a brand new one, while her last one was very good, I based this one on the Crysis nanosuit 2 but with even better tech and specially made it to counter Forerunners tech,

The crashed Forerunner vessel under this base is one of the reasons I accepted to work with ONI, however the crystal beneath the Menachite Mountain will be left alone for now,

" Good, this new body is better than the last one in every aspect, it will greatly accelerate my plan to enslave your species, meat bag, " she said with a neutral face, I just looked at her," It was a joke " I chuckled " never change EDI ",

I was about to start working when she spoke again and said,

" One more thing sir, my sensor detected a massive structure beneath this base should we investigate?"

" Yes but only send indetectable probes for now and try to find or make a passage to it without ONI detecting us," I said while I began to think of the forerunner vessel, Catherine Halsey only finished decrypting information during the fall of reach in 2552 so I'm not sure if they already discovered it or not, " And try to find out if ONI is researching it or not,"

" Of course sir, " she said before she got up left,

I sighed and began to think about what to do, for now, the insurrection was still going strong for now but I was already moving to crush it, I knew that they had real reasons for rebelling but killing millions of innocent was not the way to do it so I sent a LOT of cloaked probes maned by my 'Stealth Corps' to spy on the outer colonies,

Speaking of the Stealth Corps, they are A.I specialized in infiltration, information gathering/hacking, each of them can pass for a human if needed, I created ten groups, for now, each group is composed of one Smart A.I and ten Dumb A.I,

They have one Prowler per group which are undetectable and equipped with the best Slipspace drive I could currently create which reached about 1500 ly per day, with them I hope to identify a maximum number of insurrectionist leaders,

It took me and EDI years to create all of that without being discovered by ONI, I had to find a planet outside the UEG and Covenant space to launch this plan,

This planet I named HOME was situated approximately 1000 ly from Earth, the planet possesses a massive amount of titanium and other metal and is ideal for human life,

The planet is under the management of a new A.I named GAIA, currently, her instructions are to build new factories and space yards and help the 'Stealth corps' with their missions,

I stopped thinking about HOME and started to work on refitting the UNSC ship with better tech, which will be presented to HIGHCOM.
