2 Chapter 2

On December 1st, Year 2509 Axel had graduated Officer school as he was now 19 years old and was the youngest to ever do it. His Intelligence was not the only thing that he had as Axel had excelled in all forms of the Officer Academy. As a result he had been promoted from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander.

After he graduated he had been sent to work with ONI on the rising Insurrectionists movements in the outer colonies of the UEG.

Axel was specially tasked by ONI to come up with counter measures against the rising Insurrectionists.

ONI gave Axel a Lab and some subordinates to use his knowledge and genius to advance the Military capability of their forces to counter the rising Insurrectionists.

There were talks about re-starting the Spartan program, since Axel has the knowledge of Genetic altering which would allow him to create a more better Super Soldier for the UNSC. But that idea was shot down by the UNSC Command.

And right now Axel was on his way to the planet of Algolis which was located in the Algol system where he would take his position as the head of ONI Section three. But his rank was too low for him to head an department, so He was once again ranked up to a Commander in the UNSC Navy.

He is the youngest person to ever reach that rank at such a fast pace. And his name has already become a well known one throughout the UEG and the UNSC Command Structure.

At this time Axel was sitting down in his room inside of the UNSC Bastion-class Carrier which was transporting himself and a bunch of other crew members and supplies to the his new facility on Algolis.

As he was sitting down at his desk he was looking over the schematics for a Robotic Military unit which could work as a deterrent for the Insurrectionists. The Robot would have it's own small A.I. core which would give it the ability to act and respond to situations like a Human soldier.

The Robot would contain some form of Basic Intelligence to allow it to be commanded like a normal soldier and to fight like one to.

For right now this is what he would create and give to ONI to use in the field. He already knew that this special assignment was due to the great amount of knowledge that he had and the reputation that he has built from being at the University.

He is only 19 years old and he is already a Commander. He smiled at the thought of this since his plan was working. He was going to use the ONI resources that he is given to research more about the Forerunners.

Because when he deciphered their language back at the University he had discovered new knowledge that could truly transform Human's Genetically. But he kept that information to himself and to his Best Friend Catherine.

She was the only one who he felt comfortable around when at the University. 

While Axel was sitting in his office doing some minor adjustments to the Robot project the ship had arrived.

That's when the voice of the captain was heard over the Intercom "All Hands we have arrived at our destination, start prepping the transports for departure. Commander Woods, I'll see you at your transport before you leave" Announced the Captain.

Hearing this Axel had packed all of his stuff up into a large briefcase and had exited his room where a soldier was waiting on him.

The soldier saluted "Sir, allow me to carry that for you" Said the soldier.

The soldier in question was a boy named Crewman Noah Taylor. Axel had picked the boy to join him as an assistant. Taylor was straight out of schooling and was shocked when he seen that he had gotten a special duty assignment. And when he saw the name he couldn't believe it who he was going to work for.

And from their he was taken onboard the ship with Axel and would accompany him during his time as the Head of ONI Section three.

Axel handed his brief case to Taylor "At Ease Taylor, As my assistant you don't need to salute me unless it's at a formal occasion, is that understood" Said Axel

Taylor did not try and argue and simply replied with "Aye, Sir"

Axel smiled since Taylor had passed the first test of not being annoying and simply following the simple orders that he gives him "Good, now lets go to the hanger" Said Axel as he started to walk to the Hanger with Taylor behind him.

Once they got to the Hanger Axel saw the Captain whom he approached. The two of them talked for a few minutes before Axel boarded his Pelican and flew down to the surface of the planet.

The flight didn't take long and after about 20 minutes they had arrived at the Facility where the Staff for the Facility and were waiting on Axel to greet their new Commanding Officer.

As the Pelican Landed the Staff along with the Security guards for the Facility was all standing at attention on both waiting for Axel to get off of the Pelican.

Once Axel started walking down the ramp of the Pelican all the staff and Guards starting saluting. 

Axel looked at all of them before he said "At Ease Everyone".

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you, My name is Commander Axel woods and I will be the Commanding Officer for Section Three" Stated Axel

"And I'm sure you have all been informed of our first task and mission, so I will not keep you here long enough and waste time with useless small talk, There will be time for that later" Stated Axel

"So everybody is free to return to their duties for the day and I will make the rounds tomorrow to meet each and every one of you" Announced Axel as he dismissed the group.

Once he dismissed the Group he was taken to his quarters which was quite a spacious room that had everything that he could need.

First of all his room was quite big which showed that ONI wanted him to know that they were not wasting funds on him. Connected to the room was his own personal lab where he could research and design his own projects.

Of course it was quite limited since it was not as big as the research lab for the Facility itself but for Axel it was enough for him to design some of his major projects.

And so for the first thing that he did was create a personal A.I. for himself which would help him in his day to day activities.

So Axel had dismissed Crewman Taylor for the day while he walked into his personal lab and sat down in front of the massive computer before he started to type on it.

The creation of the A.I. would take some time since he would need to bypass a lot of security programs and then build the A.I. itself from scratch which would take up to 2 hours for him.

And for the next 2 hours that is exactly what he did. Once he was done he had taken a shower inside of his bathroom and then went to sleep for the night. Tomorrow he would meet with all the staff under him and also introduce the Robotic Military Unit to them to solve the problem of insurrectionists.
