Soul Contract

a dark-blue mist can be seen exiting the mouth of the creature and entering the mouth of Charlotte.

the mist can be seen making its way down her throat as it glowed, it then made it's way to her heart and started to glow more brightly to the point that Charlotte heart can be seen through her flesh.

"lub!, dub!" as the heart beated strongly it can be heard from the outside, with each beat the dark-blue mist was spread with extreme speed all over her body.

Charlotte started to glow as the mist can be seen spreading in her body, she suddenly began to levitate as though she was ascending to another domain.

the dark-blue glow to her skin lighted up the entirety of the cave as though it was day, while the wyvern was now flying around her.

"it really is a soul contract, I cant believe my eyes, and it's a dark-blue ranked beast" mion said in amazement, he had learned alot about soul contracts in his royal library.

what he had learnt was that a monster our beast all had ranks, the strongest being black and the weakest being white, the closer a monster is to black the stronger the monster, most people have had rare encounters with these monsters or beast, in these encounters they had formed what is known as a soul contract it is where a monster recognizes someone as their companion for life, but the bad part to a soul contract is that if anyone of the members of the soul contract is to die then the other will also die, because of this most races do not sort after forming a soul contract as it is to risky, but mion wanted one as with a soul contract with a strong monster bring lots of other benefits that would pave his way to becoming a knight.

"amazing, simply amazing" a voice echoed in his mind.

"what who is their?" he said as he looked around the cavern but did not see anyone other than nic who was still in his feathery cocoon and Charlotte who was in the middle of a soul contract.

he did not hear the voice again, but unknown to him author was in his mind, he was seeing everything that mion was seeing.

"not only is she a halfling but she was lucky enough to form a soul contract with the wyvern" he had already read all of nic memories so he knew exactly what the monster was.

"if I were to mature these two I would not only bring glory to our nation, but I would also bring great acknowledgement on myself, I got to come up with a perfect plan to keep both of them in my grasp" after mumbling to himself he kept looking through the eyes of mion with greed clouding his thoughts.

the light coming from Charlotte body started to dim as she slowly descended, she was soon back on the ground and their seem to be no deference from when she was pulled out of the pool by the wyvern.

"did it fail" mion asked himself as he saw that nothing was different, but as soon as he said so he realized that dark-blue tribal line tattoos started to be seen all over her body, but just as they came they faded away and only left one circular tattoo at the side of her neck, the tattoo looked like that of the wyvern which was chasing after it's own tail.

"cough,cough" water poured out of Charlotte mouth as she started to regain her complexion.

she slowly opened her eyes to see that of the little wyvern that was on her chest and looking into her eyes.

"creek, creek" the wyvern danced on her chest as it was happy that Charlotte was alive.

Charlotte then raised her left hand to pet the creature, the creature did not move instead it rubbed its head in the hand of Charlotte, seeing this she smiled at the creature.

"what a relief you are alive" mion said as he approached Charlotte.

Charlotte looked over to see mion who was approaching her, her face showed that of fear as she tried to fight herself to get up, but instead kept falling.

"CREEEEK!" the wyvern flew from her chest and blocked the path between Charlotte and mion, it looked mion dead in the eye and alittle growl can be heard coming from the monster.

"shit she most still think of me as a bad guy because of when we first meet" mion remembered his first encounter with Charlotte and facepalmed himself as he thought of how irrational he was, he stopped in his tracks as he looked at the wyvern that was prepared to attack.

"I mean you no harm am also a friend of nic" he said as he smiled at Charlotte and made one more step towards her.

but Charlotte did not fall for his words and forced herself back in fear.

seeing that Charlotte was afraid of mion the creature reacted by growling even more terrifyingly, if mion had simply walked away it would not have done anything more, but mion just had to make another step to Charlotte.

"hey am sorry for the way I acted am not really a bad..."

but before he could say anything more a red fireball the size of a baseball was coming towards him.

the fireball was coming at his face with an incredible speed, but mion placed his hand forward to protect his face.

"ahh" he screamed as the fireball scorched his hand black and set it ablaze.

he quickly ran to the pool and stretched his hand into the pool to out the flames.

"what the hell is this little beast" mion said in agony, but as soon as he raised his head and looked towards the little monster three more fireballs can be seen coming towards him.

"like hell you would!" mion shouted as his legs bulged and he jumped to the side, he narrowly dodged the flame, but it set ablaze to his bandages that where still covering his body.

"ha, you need to try better than that you creepy lizard!" he teased the monster and did not realize that his bandages have been set ablaze.

but without saying or doing anything else the wyvern flew back to Charlotte, it layed in her lap with its eyes locked on mion.

"is something burning?" mion thought as he started to smell that of smoke, but then he felt the heat on his back which made him wail in pain, he then realized what had happened and jumped into the pool with a trail of smoke behind him.

"YOU LITTLE PEST!" mion shouted as he began to exit the pool with his eyes reddened in anger, but the wyvern turned its head and closed its eyes simply ignoring mion.

"LITTLE ELF CONTROL YOUR PET!" mion shouted but this time it was directed at Charlotte, but this angered the monster which raised its head and opened its mouth.

a red light shined from its mouth before the fireball was shot out of it, this one was more faster than the ones before and caught mion off guard.

as the flame hit his body that was covered in water, its burst and all the water on mion body suddenly turn to steam and send him rocketing backwards.

"SPLASH" he was sent flying into the pool, the blow sent him unconscious for awhile but he awoke before he drowned.

"cough,cough" mion coughed out water as he looked at the wyvern with revenge in his eyes, and the wyvern looked at him also.

at that time the both of them knew that they were destined enemies, but soon after something caught the wyvern attention as it turned its gaze to nic's winged cocoon.
