One Sided Victory

Nic followed closely behind the rhino, he was in his normal form so he was able to keep up with the rhino that was charging through the trees.

its thick hide was covered in blood, it had serious injuries that some would not even be able to survive from, much less still be able to run.

nic was observing the injuries from afar and was even more surprised that the monster can still move with the wounds it had on its body, even bones were shown in the deep wounds it was almost as if it was a zombie.

it finally came to a stop, it did not stop because it had succumbed to its injuries, it stopped because a river was in its path.

it started to look around to see where to go, but the only way it can go other than back was downstream, the steep mountain was blocking it from going upstream, and the river was blocking it from going across.

it then leaned down its massive head and began to drink water.

"this is my chance" nic said as he turned back into fairies peak, he then charged at the monster.

the monster ears twitched as it heard nic coming, it raised its head and turned around but it did not see nic.

"descending kick"

a kick was received to the open wound on the back of the rhino monster.

the monster cried out in pain, it lunged its massive head at nic and tried to bite him, but nic was to quick and had used its body to push himself away from the monster, he landed meters away from the monster, that turned its body to facing him.

seeing that nic was not at a close range, it got into a charging stance and was exhaling steam as though it wanted to intimidate its nic.

nic smiled as he was not intimidated by a half dead monster, if it was at its peak condition he may have wet himself, but seeing the monster now, all it needs is a few kicks and it's done.

the monster began to charge, a trail of dust can be seen behind as it was getting close to nic, it did not stop and continued to charge as it reached the position in which it known nic was at it raised its head to pierce its massive horn into nic, but their was no blood or scream, it looked up but did not see nic.

*THUD* another kick was received to its side, the monster cried out in pain, it turned its head but did not see anything.

it then recieved another kick to the injury at it's back, it lunged its head at it's back the minute it felt the pain, but it was only meet with air.

it was as if it was fighting a ghost, kicks after kicks were recieved to its wounds, it turned its head everytime it felt the pain but it did not see anything, in its frustration it turned its massive body and was facing the river.

it then got into a charge stance and rushed to the river.

nic was confused as to what the rhino was trying to do so he stood back.

"is it going to commit suicide" nic mumbled, a monster so big with so many injuries would not be able to swim, even if it could have it would be a sitting duck.

as the monster approached the river it stamped its massive legs and forced itself off the ground.

"this crazy beast" nic was in shock as he laughed at the site of the massive beast attempting to jump thirty meters to the other side of the river.

the giant monster was high off the ground and its large body carried it forward with speed, it crashed onto the other side leaving that of dust and rubble.

it layed on the other side of the river with its head turned looking at nic, it was as though it had thought it was safe.

"HaHa.." nic held his stomach and laughed as he seen the hysterical event, he then turned back into his original form.

the monster watched confused as it can see that nic had not giving up, it had thought that after making the jump nic would have let him be, the monster saw him approaching and lay down its head and closed its eyes.

it was not that it had accepted death, it was that it known if nic had attempted to swim over he would be eating by the croc monster, all monsters knew that the river was the crocs territory.

"flap,flap.."

it opened its eyes and the monster was shock in fear to see that nic was slowly hovering over the river and coming towards him.

the monster then looked away and was trying to force its body up, it had received more severe injuries from jumping over the river.

it forced itself up but was not able to run as its legs had suffered alot from the fall, it looked back but no one was their.

it turned it head up to see nic in his fairy peak form in the air, he turned his body in the air as he struck down one foot down at the monster.

"DESCENDING KICK!"

a kick was recieved to the back of the rhino forcing it onto the ground, blood spewed out of its mouth as it let out a final cry.

nic landed infront of the rhino, its eyelids slowly closed as blood ran from the sides of its mouth.

"you put up a good fight" nic said as he touched the horn of the monster, it finally came to rest as its eyes were fully closed and its last breath shot out of its nose like steam.

nic smiled as he removed his hand, he then looked around but he did not see anything as the forest was calm and peaceful.

"I wonder where your monster core is" nic said as he inspected the opened wounds, he then started to peel off flesh as he looked for the core.

an hour later he found that the monster core was in the brain of the monster, although it took him awhile he was able to take it out.

"atlast i thought for a second you did not have one" nic said as he grinned at the red stone in his hand.

he then sat down in a meditating position and closed his eyes, but as soon as he seen the spark in the stone something had forced him to open his eyes.

"OINK!!" a furious cry was heard on the other side of the river as nic gulped down his saliva and his face blackened in fear.
