"this is it!" nic shouted as he looked infront of him, their was nothing but a field of grass, their was no trees that were found in the grasslands, but at a far distance away a silhouette of a forest can be seen.

"I think this is like the boundary between the beast den and the southern beast-men kingdom"

"atlast!, I was beginning to think that we were going to be lost in that place forever!" mion said as he looked back at the forest.

soon the sunrise from the east, its light gave the grassy plains life as butterflies emerged from the grass, and flowers started to open in response to the light.

Charlotte watched with her eyes wide open, she was stunned by the utmost beauty.

"ain't it just speechless little elf" mion said as he to was in a daze.

"grrrr" the little wyvern appeared from under Charlotte's hair, it was using her hair as a blanket to face the cold night.

mion was meet with the cold eyes of nic along with the wyvern that was preparing to set him on fire.

"ohh am really sorry!, I forgot that she couldn't speak, I was just caught up in the scenery" mion tried to defend himself but was not successful.

but then the little wyvern and nic were both meet with Charlotte's hand that touched their heads, as they looked around they saw a big smile on Charlotte's face, she had found what mion said as funny, and was not offended by it.

*sigh!* mion was relieved.

"OINNNK!!!"

they soon heard the cry of the warthog as it made the Monster-Den know, that it was now awake, the cry was from a far distance away, but it was still terrifying, followed by its cry was many other monster cries.

"let's hurry and leave this place" mion said as he was scared as hell of the monsters in the forest, they only had encountered mostly sleeping ones on their journey out, but for the few that were alive nic had killed them and disfigured their heads, he had done this to six monsters but in return he only got one monster core.

"agreed" nic said as he was already a distance ahead, and was going through the dense grass lands.

"wait up! how can you abandon me like this" mion slowly sumo walked behind.

a couple hours later they can finally see the forest clearly, they were still in the dense grasslands and only 200 meters away from the forest to enter the southern lands, it took them awhile to walk through the grasslands, the grass reached up the their necks, so it was hard to walk through, nic had to sometimes rely on Charlotte to point towards the forest to know where he was going, as she was on his shoulders, her vision was not disturbed by the grass.

nic was walking ahead of mion until he suddenly paused, mion who was behind of him stopped to catch his breath.

"atlast...you..stopped" mion said as he tried his best to keep standing.

"I didn't expect you to come all the way here" nic said as he looked out into the forest.

"ofcourse I would come to greet my student!" a tall man, armoured from the neck down in red armour, appeared from behind the trees, he was also wearing a fox mask.

he was not alone however as he was accompanied by many beastmen, a man dressed similar to him but wore a cat mask was on his right side, and on his left was a beastwoman, she wore a robe that had the Crest of HH and a giant sword was on her back, her fur was very colorful showing colors such as brown, white and black, her blue eyes looked all over nic.

"sir, he is accompanied by an elf" she whispered.

author ignored her and walked forward, ofcourse he already have known all about this, as he walked forward more beastmen emerged from the forest, it was a total of about 500 beastmen.

seeing this mion was scared out of his mind not only did he remember author, but seeing this amount of beastmen just placed the icing on the cake, shit how am I going to escape this one.

Charlotte was afraid at first but seeing that nic was calm she was calm also, "it looks as though you brought an army, as you knew, it's just the three of us why would you need so much men"

"that's not the Choice that I can make, I am an important asset to the queen, which means that as long as am leaving my base I am to be accompanied by no less than 500 men"

"wow, that most be annoying" nic said as he looked at the number of men behind author.

"i have already adapted" author replied, "anyway let's get down to business, you said you would not be my student unless you have seen my face, correct?"

"yes, that's how I remembered it"

"alright then that would be simple" as soon as he spoke a burst of aura was released from author, as he released this aura the grass that was waist high was instantly flattened around him, soon everyone fainted even his own men.

"what the hell just happened" nic said as he was stunned, he to was affected by this burst of aura, and as he looked around mion was knocked out but some how he managed to sit down before he was completely knocked out, doing this prevented the giant vase from spilling, which saved the tadpoles.

Charlotte was knocked out also and was laying on nic's head, even the wyvern was on the ground fast asleep, only ones awake were nic and author.

"what did you do?" nic asked with a panicked voice.

"what do you want to learn it my student?, am afraid you can't, what I did was mix my gift with my aura, with this I sent a full rush of my power to the part of the brain that reacts to fear, this caused everyone of their bodies to forcefully shut down, or as you will say faint"

"so why am I affected by it"

"ohh that's because even though your brain was not targetted by my gift, you still felt my aura, and in your weak state I would say that you only could last 1 minute of exposure to my aura, I really cant understand how you almost killed a knight, most of us have incredibly strong aura"

"he was just sloppy" nic replied

"alright then I declare your now officially my student, so you most get stronger in the future to win even when the opponent is not sloppy" author said as he removed his mask.

as nic saw authors face he was confused, "wait, how?, you look nothing like a beastman"

author smiled at nic with his dark complexion, and his brown eyes, his hair was short and black and his eyes were the only thing that did not seem human for they looked like the eyes of a fox. [he is a black man, before anyone starts any racial stuff I am also a black man :) ]
