Abnormal River

nic went at the cave opening to wash himself clean, he was able to do this because the waterfall passed the cave as it enters the river below.

the forest was just infront of the waterfall, while the waterfall came out from an enormous steep mountain that top cannot be seen from the bottom, to even go around the mountain would take some days as it seemed to have gone for miles.

nic was washing himself clean of the filt, he wished that he can bring the toad back to life just so that he can kill it again.

but even if it was possible for him to do so he knew he would die for it was because of phyora that he was able to kill it so easily.

nic was thinking of hunting the monsters for their red stones and meat since he had not eating nothing in awhile,he was beginning to feel as though he was starving, but now that he thought about it he place it at the back of his head as a last resort.

he had to admit that right now any monster that resides in this forest can take his life, he was not as strong as he thought, the only thing other than phyora that can help him in a fight is his gift.

but nic still needed some training as he did not even know how to use fairies peak other than to boost his strength and other than that his gift only had the ability to make him old and young.

nic needed to get stronger as he had a fight within a year and some months, and his opponent was not a regular man but a knight.

the only reason he won the last time was because argus did not take mion and nic seriously, he was a knight after all, no matter what rank a knight is, they are considered the powerhouses of each nation after all.

"shit why didn't I kill that bastard" nic thought, but even if he wanted to he couldn't as he was barely in control of his body and he collapsed as he plunged the blade into a silhouette that blocked the attack.

that was the last thing nic seen before he collapsed.

as nic took up a handful of water to wash his face he suddenly seen someone dropping down the waterfall.

in that moment it was as if time froze as nic looked at a girl with long blonde hair, her face had three slanted scars that looked as though a bear attacked her.

her lifeless eyes seemed to have meet nic as her lips moved.

*splash!* she dropped in the water.

nic was at a pause first but as soon as he got back to his senses he grabbed his sword and immediately dived through the waterfall and into the river below.

he was not good at reading lips but those words can be obviously read by anyone, "help...me" those were the words that she said although he did not hear, he knew what she meant.

as he entered the river below he began to look around In the clear water.

"even the rivers seem to be abnormal in this place" he thought as the river was abnormally deep as though he was in an ocean he could not even see the bottom.

he looked around and then he saw her slowly descending to the depths of the river.

he did not spare no thought as he dived deeper for the girl.

but then he saw something that resembled a crocodile going after the girl.

"you damn monster look at the size of you what can a little girl possibly do to your stomach" nic thought as he rushed down for the girl.

he was diving slow because he had the sword in one hand, he did not have the sheath for the weapon as he forgot where he had left it, so he had to hold it in his hands where ever he went.

the crocodile opened its mouth to eat the girl whole, as the girl was close enough for it to grab.

nic seeing this went straight into fairies peak, before the monster can munch on the girl he thrown phyora at the monster with all his strength.

the weapon pierced the monster, feeling the pain of the attack it shaked its massive body.

nic did not give it the opportunity as he dived down at full speed, he then performed that of a descending kick on the sword hilt pushing it deeper into the skull of the monster.

blood gushed out of the monster wound, it stopped moving as it succumbed to its injury, and died with its mouth wide open.

nic was overjoyed as this meant that he would not only have another red stone but he would also have that of monster meat.

but before he focus on the monster he had more important matters to deal with.

he took out phyora out of the monsters head, and rush over to the girl and grabbed her tightly with one hand and with the other he pointed the sword down.

bubbles started to enveloped the weapon as it turned bright red and began to push them at a tremendous speed to the surface, they looked as though they were a torpedo.

they shot up out of the river and onto the side of the river bank.

nic landed on his feet with the girl in his arms, he immediately lay her down and began to pump her flat chest.

"cough" water came out of her mouth as she began to breath.

"I wasn't to late" nic thought as he looked at the girl with a smile, he then saw that she looked no more the eighth, she had scars all over her body and they were not fresh, her short white dress was tattered, she had long pointed ears which meant that she was an elf.

"what is a elf doing in the beastmen territory" nic thought, even though he did not know where he was he was sure he was still in the beastmen territory because of the dense forest that could be seen for miles.

it was already getting dark so nic did not spare no time and rush the girl to the cave in an instant.

he would later come back for the crocodile, he left his sword in the ground so that he would know where to dive for it, he was not afraid of it going downstream because of how heavy the croc seemed to be and because while he was in the water he felt no current, he did not think much of it only place it in the list of strange things in this place.
