VINCE WONDERS ABOUT THE RING

'Why didn't anyone mention she had a brother? This is becoming more complicated by the moment, all this time I thought it was a ladies' house.' Hearing a voice in his head, 'So you thought you could take advantage of her?'

Looking back only to see the gentleman holding Haley up as she cries. When was time for the ring, she had taken the one she bought me, or was it she had bought it for Gilbert, and placed it in the pillow the Minister was holding?

Doing as she did, Vince rest the ring next to hers. Observing it closely, how did she select the perfect size? Trying to figure out if Gilbert's finger is the same size as his.

When the Minister called his name Vince blinked and looks at him. Hearing him ask in a whisper, "Are you all right son?"

"I am okay Sir, just a slight headache, maybe because I am impatient."

When was time for the exchanging of rings, seeing Sidney remove her gloves, but she had a transparent glove on? Repeating his vows and then slipping the ring on her ring finger, it fit perfectly?

Hearing her repeat her vows then she slips it into his ring finger, it fits as though she had taken a measurement.

The Minister then lead us to the table to sign the marriage certificate, Uncle Richard signed as my witness, and her brother signed as hers'.

Seeing her smiling up at him, I return the smile and then turn when the Minister said as we were once more at the front of the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please stand and put your hands together, as we welcome for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Vinceson Montgomery. Now, you may kiss the bride."

Taking his time he raise the vail, unable to believe his eyes, her face was glowing, she was not wearing her glasses and she looks so alluring., oh God, what a transformation.'

Reaching down slowly as he captures her lips, he so wanted to do that since that first kiss. The fire he felt Wednesday was nothing compared to this fire that was surging through his veins, wanting her so much he slips his hand to her back drawing her closer to him.

Hearing the clapping, Vince releases her lips and his hand, but he didn't want to stop kissing her.

Sidney looks at him only to see his eyes close, bending her head when he opens his eyes.

Turning around holding her hand to face the crowd, only to see Gilbert steering him straight in his face. Looked at her wondering, 'If she had given him an invitation, but why would she do that when she told him next Saturday she will marry him?'

This was so unsettling knowing Gilbert reveals his plans to him, now Vince was concerned if the fool will embarrass him?

While being led to the table to take a seat, Vince prayed silently from deep within, 'Dear God, please don't let him make a scene. I really cannot handle any embarrassment right now.'

Sitting at the table all alone whispering to her "Your x is here."

"Good!"

"You invited him?"

"Are you mad, why would I do such a thing? I wanted to go to the fool's wedding to see him standing at the front just as he had me waiting like a fool. Now he is spoiling my fun."

"Is this is a joke to you?"

Sidney realized he was angry but what can she do it's not her fault he is here. "Do I look like I am laughing?"

"Not yet, but when he explores and starts embarrassing me, we will look like a public spectacle."

"Now tell me something, why would he embarrass you when it is I who set him up?"

"I know that, but you see I am the one spoiling his plans, he had revealed his plans to me after you left us Wednesday, he was happy when you said yes to marrying him.

You see he has this foolish notion that you will help him with this business deal of his, that he has been formulating in his mind since he left you at the altar?"

When she looks at him, seeing her eyes for the first time, it was a beautiful grey, so lost in her eyes, when she hunches him asking, "What deal you are talking about?"

"Look, Sidney, he thinks when he married you; he will ask you to help him get a loan to make some sort of investment."

"You are joking, right?"

"No, I am not, he was talking about an investment you made in your mother's name and said she will get some money soon. I believe he thinks you won't mind giving him the cash, so now he will think I boycott him and snatch you from him."

Hearing her chuckle, "Will you stop that, this is not a joking matter, he was dead serious, and I went along with this charade of yours, oh God, this is not what I had in mind."

Noticing everyone looking at us, Sidney said, "Sorry, sorry, but I can't believe I am laughing, I thought this day was going to be hell."

Hearing him chuckling, Sidney asks,"Now tell me what is so funny?"

"You! my beautiful bride."

"Me!"

"Yes, you!" Seeing him still with that smuck smile slapped on his face.

"Explain yourself." Vince see her face change.

"You are kidding, right? But seeing how serious she was as she continues tolook at him.

"Hello, I cannot go into detail here, now smile everyone is looking at us, but you are right, I thought this day was going to be doomsday."

Hearing her saying, "What the hell," seeing her reaches up with her hand and removes the earplugs.

"Aye, are you okay?" When she keeps shaking her head, "What's wrong, demit, talk to me?" Observing the tears then she stood up. "Sidney, what is wrong?"

Hearing her say just in a whisper, "I need to use the washroom."
