VINCE WAS TOLD TO WATCH HIS BACK

Vince notices how she responds to the children so he makes room in his bed as the two children get on both sides of her and cuddled her. It was like medicine for her, the crying slowly simmer down then her body relax.

After the two children help her to relax Vince sees her eyes close as she lies down and hugs his hand. When Venissa signals both children to follow her, they crawl out of the bed quietly and left.

Signalling his family to close the door and switch off the light, hearing the click on the door he closes his eyes once more. This time the clock bang twice as he fell asleep with her in his arms.

Waking to find her cuddled up to him, just as she had pulled his hand over her chest it was the same. I know she will have some problems attending to herself so he will have to ask Molly to help attend to her.

Easing from the bed, Vince wished he didn't have to go to the office, he knew he still needed some sleep, also having her in his arms was perfect. He pull the quilt over her and went and organized.

Seeing Sidney had slept through the remaining night, Vince glimpse at the centre table, he misses his breakfast then left the room quietly and informed Molly to assist her, then set off for the office.

Hurrying to the garage he opens the car resting his briefcase in the back seat then sits in the car. Vince inserts the key in the ignition and turns it but the car won't budge, he looks at the dashboard seeing the gas gauge reading empty.

Knowing he top-up yesterday and he never allows his gas tank to reach less than half, how is that possible?

Returning inside then rests down his keys as he calls the mechanic then took another bunch of keys, with his briefcase in his left hand he walks out of the house a second time.

Recalling immediately that at no time last night he had seen Sidney's shoulder bag and also her briefcase. Deciding he will visit the Police Station during his lunch break, knowing he will be a bit busy during the first half of the day.

Reaching his office at eight-thirty seeing a gentleman sitting waiting, Vince recognised Sidney's briefcase and purse immediately.

Vince went toward him, saying, "Good morning Sir, I see you came to meet me."

When Gloria his Secretary heard what he said she immediately approaches him, saying, "Sir, you are late already and next few minutes your first client will be here."

"Thank, You Miss Gloria, but I will have to attend to this gentleman first." Knowing he is the only one who could relate what had occurred with Sidney yesterday. "Will you please bring me two cups of coffee," then he went to his office.

Angry with his attitude and the way he bosses her around in front of everyone, sometimes he treats me as though I am not the opposite sex, he never notices me and all the effort I put into looking good.

I will just keep my cool, one of these good days he will come, I know he has his wife but who cares these days, all those CEOs have a spare, I could live with it.'

Ignoring the hurt and rejection on the inside having no choice, Gloria knew if she wants to keep her job, she have to stick around for an opportunity.

In his office, Vince politely asks after indicating to the gentleman to take a seat. "Sir, I see you have my wife's bag and briefcase can you explain what happens to her yesterday?"

Vince observes the taxi driver carefully, he seems very concerned, "Is the madam okay Sir? those bullies attacked me after they stop my car, when she see what was happening, all she said before they came towards the vehicle was.

"If you survive this, take my belongings to the Montgomery building and give it only to Mr. Montgomery. Sir, that is why I am here, I didn't know she was your wife I was so worried when I recovered from the blow I received in my head."

"So haven't you seen anything or anyone who was responsible for her kidnapping?"

"I am afraid not those men had on mass and they attacked me first." Vince see him remove his cap then he noticed the gauze around his head, "Sir, most of the night I was at the hospital waiting to be attended to."

Vince knew the time was going and he had learned nothing much, opening his wallet he slip out some money, "I thank you for returning my wife's belongings and another thing before you leave, did you make a police report?"

"I did when I left the hospital this morning."

After the gentleman left, Vince rest her belongings in a draw then began working.

The entire day was hectic when he did get a half an hour break before the next client came he called the machinic only to hear he will get his car by the weekend.

Quarrying to know what seems to be the problem and why the delay? Only to hear, that his new black Bently gas tank had a hole that is why all the gas leaked out, and they are trying to locate an original tank to replace."

"Look, can't you patch the leak?"

When the mechanic explains, "The tank was dent-in pretty bad, and the hole is too big, it is safer to replace a new tank."

"Dent, that is impossible, it's a new car and I never ride over anything or hit something so how could it dent?"

When he did get a picture from the machinic and heard him saying, "Well, then I am absolutely sure someone must have done it for a reason, so you better watch your back."

Giving him the okay, Vince tries to complete the signatureing of the remaining documents before the next client appointment.
