VINCE FRUSTRATION

Focusing her attention on her mom Sidney tries desperately to ignore the thought that keeps popping up in her head that he is here.

"I am sorry for worrying you unnecessarily," George replies.

"Has she opened her eyes as yet Georgia?" Sid asks, seeing the nod, "I am home Mom," Sid murmured seeing her mom open her eyes slowly.

Hazel could hear their concern, "I am fine love; I forgot to take my medication this morning."

Placing her finger over her lips Sidney said, "Mom, when I return from the prayer meeting this morning I give you your medication and I told you to rest. So why are you worrying? I will handle everything, now have you eaten anything as yet?"

Seeing the nod, "Okay, try and rest now, I have to check the Hall, and Georgia, when this order leaves, makes some soup for Mom, and keeps Haley outside while Mom rests."

Kissing her forehead Sidney tries her best to reassure her mom, "Mom, everything is looking perfect, I will bring you a picture when I return, so please don't worry and try and get some rest for me."

Standing in the gallery beside Sidney looking on as she instructed each of them, seeing a truck drive up and then reverse down the driveway.

Hearing Sidney say, "Oh, Georgia, will you keep the phone with you so any calls come in, Mom rest won't be disturbed."

"I will Sid and I am truly sorry for disrupting your errand, I know you said before leaving this morning it was an important meeting."

"Aye, stop apologizing you know mom comes first right? And I am glad you called, that client was irritating the hell out of me, the call was a blessing in disguise." Vince couldn't help but admire how convincing she was.

Haley on the other hand was busy spraying the flowers that were in the baskets. 'She is a very brave and helpful child.'

And from what Vince had been observing the driver didn't ask any questions, he seemed to know exactly what he had to do. He just started loading the flowers on top of the truck.

Recalling his first visit to the family 'I thought they were a low-class and boring family and were undisciplined, but looking at how they worked in harmony, they seemed happy and there is a togetherness.

When the driver completed the loading of the roses Carol gave him a list when she brought the last basket for Haley to spray.

Vince observed when Sidney wiped her face, having no choice he touched her shoulder, but before he could say a word, she slowly turned around. 'Dear God the way she looks at me it seems she had completely forgotten that I was here alongside her.'

When she was going to speak to me, noticing the frown on her face, she called out to Georgia instead, announcing that she was leaving.

Reaching the main road, she removed the cotton wool from her ears, being a good six yards apart.

Immediately without a warning, she said in a rage, "Didn't I tell you to fix this situation this morning?"

Vince couldn't help but become angry, trying his best to have some self-control before saying, he "You sure are bossy, do you know that?"

Passing his hand through his hair; only to smell the roses in his hand, like this morning and yesterday.

Vince wondered, 'What was going on, I hadn't touched any of the roses, and never had I experienced anything like this. It only happens when I touch her, why is that, is it a sign?'

Ignoring his thoughts, Vince said, "Look, try and understand, I am being put in the same position as you, so don't go bashing me. I am afraid we will have to go along with their wishes unless we have a better offer or get a miracle."

"Are you completely out of your mind, I will not marry you, miracle or not?"

Angry with her behaviour,  he thought, 'she had a serious attitude problem,' Wanting to know if something was wrong with him. 'In the past women have fallen all over him. And the last I checked myself in the mirror my handsomeness hasn't diminished, so what seems to be her problem?'

Out of courtesy, he said, "I understand I am not handsome or the best-looking person in the world, and you despise me, but we are in the same predicament, we don't have any choice right now."

"Seeing how your mom is stressed out, and my grandfather is also stressed out, I will appreciate it if we work together to resolve this matter as soon as possible?"

Observing the frown on her face as if at any moment she will erupt. Her face darkened and her eyes became bloodshot as though there was no reasoning concerning his discussion

Vince was so frustrated with her attitude and bossy ways, especially when she ignored him, Knowing she already said she didn't want to get married but right now, I am given no choice.

Sidney focused her attention on his appearance for a few seconds, 'Looking at him from head to toe, he was about six feet three inches tall, and looked too handsome for his good.

His eyes look sort of grey and his red jersey and black pants bring out his fair complexion, making him look more dashing than he deserves. But who cares? All men are heartless and selfish.'

Becoming agitated just thinking how she was being forced into a marriage she didn't want to lose focus on what he was saying. "We have to go along with their wishes, so they can be relieved from all this tension and stress."

Seizing this opportunity to speak up for herself, "Why don't you understand, we are not compatible, and people will talk."

Seeing him take a few steps closer to her when the bells started ringing in her ear. "Will you stand still if you want to speak to me please?"

Seeing him ignoring her, Sidney becomes angry and aggrieved as she repeats herself in a more serious tone, saying, "I said, don't come any closer."
