VINCE DIDN'T WANT TO PRY

When Haley held his hand in hers and said, "You are going to be my brother-in-law, Bil,"

Vince heard her repeat it as though she was very unhappy. Not liking the sadness in her voice he asks, "Haley, is your name, right?" liking her very much.

Looking at him before answering, "Yes, you are correct."

Vince smiles replying gently, "Well Haley, I only wanted to see your sister, Sidney, so there is no need to worry or bother your mom?"

Vince heard when she chuckles, knowing when everyone comes to order flowers they say the same thing but then they change their mind and decide to speak with mom. "Oh, it's all right, Sis had to get a few things done, and she went to the Hall."

Having no choice he said, "Can you give me the address to the hall, and I won't be holding back anyone from their work?"

"Bill, the Hall is in Escondido, where the huge supermarket is located."

Glad to get the opportunity to speak to her alone, "Thank you, on my way back to town I will stop by and pay her a visit, now call your mom, I want to see her for a minute."

'Oh boy, is he alright? A minute ago he didn't want to see Mom, he just said he only wanted to see Sis, but now he wants to see Mom. Well, I should have known this would happen, they all say that at first then change their mind.

Vince heard her chuckle for the second time, wondering what she is laughing about. Looking down at her seeing a smug look as though she had seen through his thoughts. She seems to be very clever, I love Sueann and Fredrick but something about this child makes my heart happy which I can't seem to comprehend.

Entering the house with the child as she calls out saying, "Mom, brother-in-law is back to meet you."

Seeing the lovely smile from her mom, 'Boy, these two ladies are capturing my heart piece by piece. Her welcome was so loving and friendly.

When her mom said, "Please Son, come and sit down, Haley, honey brings our guest a cold drink."

"Yes, Mom, and Mom, George said to ask how many guests we will be expecting."

Haley placed the drink in his hand and then ran outside to help George. "So, tell me, Son, what can I do for you today?"

"Aunty, I really came to meet your daughter Sidney, and to let you know we will be coming with about twenty guests."

While speaking to her he couldn't help but admire the simple yet beautiful dress she was wearing. She looks unique, and she is as beautiful as the other two big girls.

When she did speak she said, "Very good, I didn't want something too extravagant; Sidney is not saying anything, but I could sense she is not comfortable with this arranged marriage. Son, my child is very different from the others, she loves to be by herself and is very soft-spoken."

A minute ago he was thinking the same thing, Is she more favourable to the father? from what I observed this morning she is much fairer than these, could it be because they are working in the blazing hot sun and she doesn't?'

Feeling a dislike for her within his heart, recalling the way she keeps bossing him around, 'No one has ever done that to me before. So why is it that when she is around me I get angry for no reason whatsoever, and lose control, which irritated the hell out of me?''

Asking himself, 'Why am I comparing her to her own family, I don't like her in the first place.

Responding to her mom, "I understand Aunty, but how did my grandpa meet you?"

Thinking as he looks at her, 'Not wanting to pry into their family life, but GP hasn't said anything about them, and as I promised him I will get married. Now I am left with no other choice.'

Seeing the shock on her face when she responds, "Me! No Son, your grandfather and I only met two weeks ago, we were decorating Haley Hall when he approached me. Sidney seems to know him well though, but she didn't tell me anything."

Shocked when she said that Vince became curious wanting to know as much as he can concerning that young lady, "Aunt, are you saying your daughter knows my grandfather?"

Hazel nodded as she thought about the words he asks, "It seems so, they were both laughing and discussing some work."

Wondering, 'If that is the case then why didn't she say anything to me,' "I see Aunt, but what sort of work your daughter does?"

Hazel was confused wanting to know exactly what was taking place. Didn't his grandfather inform him about my Sidney?'

"Son, haven't your grandfather told you anything about my Sidney?" Vince couldn't help but smile when she said "My Sidney!" 'there was so much love in the way she said those two words.'

"Aunt, I am afraid we haven't spoken about your daughter because he is not keeping too well these few days."

Without any hesitation, Hazel responds, "Then, if that is the case, I must come and pay your grandfather a visit, we have some minor details to finalize before the wedding."

"Please Aunty, that won't be necessary, Grandpa was not so well this morning, and I had to call the Doctor to attend to him."

Vince looks at her thinking, 'Because of your daughter's foolish advice when she visited me this morning, that happen.'

Seeing the many ???? marks on his mind, 'I wonder if she informs her mom of her visiting my home this morning?'

"But Son, my Sidney," Vince notice the worried frown on her face, 'Dear God, this morning because of my stupidity I had to get the doctor for GP.

Now my fastness might cause her mother to get sick, but I need to know what I am getting myself into, I already promise GP I will marry her, so I want to know as much as I can before the wedding?'
