SIDNEY MADE HER DECISION

Knowing he will have another excuse she just raises her hand. Sidney stops him before he touches her, and then leaves the kitchen.

Returning to the room, lying on the sofa hearing her stomach growling. Sidney closes her eyes pulling the covers over her head. Fighting with every ounce of strength in her body to control the crying, so he won't hear her."One more day of starving won't kill me?"

Sidney knew it was time for her to leave, in her hurting she decided this was her last night with him. Rising very early the Saturday morning with her few things that were already packed, Sidney took her briefcase, and her bag and she went to grandpa's room and spoke to him, then left the house at about five-thirty.

Opening his eyes feeling so drained, knowing what a blunder had occurred, Vince wanted to mend what had happened, but she was crying and sobbing nonstop. Being heartbroken himself he decided to wait until she calm down.

Turning to look at her only to see she wasn't on the sofa, normally she always folds her spread and covering but there wasn't any resting on the sofa.

Sprinting out of the bed thinking she was in the closet room but she wasn't there. Noticing the laundry basket was missing from the room so he hurried down to the laundry room seeing his clothes and the sheets neatly folded but it had nothing of her there.

Hoping she was in the gym room but that was unfertile, searching by the pool knowing she spends most of her time there when she was giving him the silent treatment. When that failed he thought she must have gone to church to pray, sometimes that was the only thing seems to give her solace.

Selling that on his mind, he returned to his bed, All the time last night after speaking to her I was thinking she will come to my bed willingly. I miss hugging her when the night comes and last night I was so restless looking at her lying on the sofa and hearing her cry I was heartbroken.

Seeing it was just six-fifteen feeling he just needed to get a few hours' rests, with her constant shifting and turning he didn't fall asleep until half three.

Sidney reaches Jeff's home at half seven, hearing he had to work the weekend she relaxes knowing Vince doesn't know where Jeff lives or his profession.

Spending the weekend at Jeff's Sidney seized that opportunity to make her plans and settles in her mind what is her final decisions.

Monday morning Sidney said goodbye to Kellie and Maryann and left. Working from the top of her list, knowing Vince might visit her workplace so she hands in her resignation first.

Secondly, she attends to the contractor and made her final payment leaving her instructions.

She had no choice but to use up almost half of her savings, the money she set aside for Georgia's wedding and the money she collect from the Insurance to offset all expenses on the Hall, so the family won't have to worry about any creditors coming home knocking at their door. And she didn't want her mom and gramma worrying.

The last thing on her list to do before leaving town was to meet with Inspector Albert to get an update on James then leaves Escondido.

Thinking Vince will get what he wants and I will be out of his life for good, James will have to pay with his life for his schemes and attacking her life.

Knowing Vince must be searching for her or even made a missing person report Sidney decides to meet at a cafeteria to have a coffee.

Satisfied with Inspector Albert's report she placed the report in her briefcase, saying her thanks and took a taxi out of town heading to the Long Beach area, hoping to get a glimpse of James hearing he is hiding there.

Sidney comes to the conclusion in her mind that they all need to pay for their deceptions, by Monday evening Sidney settled down in Irvin knowing no one will suspect she was there.

The day was tiring but she had finally gotten a small apartment just for a few days, hoping to get a job nearby then she will decide what will be her next move. Thinking, 'Later on, if she gets a job to her satisfaction then she could get a more comfortable apartment.

Now that Caroline is managing the floral shop and the Haley Hall is almost complete, they will manage their business from thereon.

I will let them know that the money I had set aside for George's wedding had been used to help pay the contractor and all the debts are paid from the insurance money I had collected.

They don't need to know I have used my savings.'

Satisfied she had dropped out her resume' into business in the area. Relaxing in the room thinking, "He cannot find me for a few weeks, so I could relax and get some time to think through my next move."

Vince felt as though he needed to catch up on some good sleep for since she left on Saturday to this Monday evening he hasn't slept a wink. 'He also knows he cannot give up on his search for Sidney, because if GP finds out she left then he will be getting all the blame.'

Recalling the last time his eyes close from when he had checked earlier in the morning then thinking she went to church and he returned to his bed that he will speak to her later in the day and explain what had happened.

When he woke up at almost lunchtime to use the washroom he recalled the bag she had packed the day before was on the chair. He immediately checked but it wasn't there anymore.

Searching the entire closet room and the bedroom for the bag only to realize it was missing together with her briefcase and most of her clothing.
