SIDNEY APOLOGISED

Slanting a glimpse at her Vince was wondering if she will apologise as he ask, but she just bends her head. as though, she was eating, looking at her plate but the food was bearly touched. When Chrystal returns to the table. Sidney didn't wait for her to sit down, she stood up saying, "Miss Chrystal, I am really sorry that your dress gets soil."

Vince felt like the food got stuck in his throat because from the ways she had her head bent he did not expect that. She didn't hesitate a bit, but Chrystal seem malicious and very angry saying to her, "I know you did it on purpose." Vince could see her anger as she venomously abuses her once again in front of everyone. Knowing if he goes to defend her Chrystal will suspect that he was changing the plan they had discussed before the wedding.

Closing his eyes for a minute thinking, 'Why am I so drawn to her? what is it about her that makes me feel happy and anxious to see her? But she does the opposite of what I expect of her, now I know she has her pride but her apologising to Chrystal says a lot for her. Is it because I ask her or it's because I did it in front of the family and she is being an obedient wife? God, she confused me.'

Opening his eyes he notices her closely when she clenched her fist, I could see her knuckles white before she replies, "I said I am sorry, now if you all will all excuse me, I will leave you to complete your dinner?"

"Child, you haven't touched your dinner, sit down and complete your meal."

"I am not hungry Grandpa, but thanks for your concern and good night, everyone." Chrystal seems satisfied she was not at the table but I was surprised when she reached near me and whispered, "If I had known you wanted to embarrass me, I would have just stayed in the room."

Watching her go, then looks at the others around the table, 'Only Chrystal was looking at her, and she seems pleased with what she had done, but it seems no one had heard her, and if they did they said nothing.'

When GP said, "Son, you need to go and see to your wife, it wasn't her fault."

"GP, she is wrong, and should have been more careful, so why should Vince go, when he hasn't finished his dinner?" Vanda, responds angrily.

The tension around the table was unsettling by Vanda's words seeing the way GP was getting angry was not a pleasant sight. When he raised his voice at her she jump because he had never done that to her before. "Vanda, this is none of your business, now Vince, go to your wife, she didn't willfully spill the water on Chrystal your sister pushed the glass near the child's elbow while she was serving Chrystal, that's how she hit the glass by mistake."

Looking at Vanda as she glared at GP, 'Is he right, was Vanda and Chrystal planning this so she won't have dinner with the family at the table, or was it they executing their plan to discredited her.

Vince looks at Vanda once more seeing her rage, 'Oh my goodness GP is right? I was so caught up looking at Sidney that I didn't see what GP said Vanda did. "Are you saying it is my fault GP?" Vanda asks.

"Vanda, my child, I am not blaming you, as I said it's a simple mistake that's all, and Chrystal, you didn't have to be so abusive, she offered to help after saying she was sorry.

And look, here she comes with your dress. Vanda is your friend, and she could have done this simple task for you."

Noticing she rest the dress on a chair when she was about to leave the dining room Vince calls out to her, "Sidney, please stay and finish your meal."

"Thanks, but I am full, so please excuse me." Knowing now he has burned the bridge of any chance he might have to take her with him.

Dinner was quiet but he felt like all eyes were piercing his soul every time he glanced at anyone, they seem to be eating. Finally giving up waiting for someone to say something he relaxes and completes his meal.

Concuting in his mine how to go about apologising to her before entering the room. Pushing the door quietly seeing it wasn't locked knowing she goes to the sofa he glances in that direction only to see her brush the tears away, then lie down on the sofa.

Saying to her, "Sidney, I am leaving in the morning and will be returning Friday, if you want you could go to your mom and spend the two days."

Expecting her to reply, she did not turn around or whispered a word. Resting his bag on top of the centre table after opening it to check and see if she had become curious knowing she overheard the conversation between Chrystal and himself.

Glancing at her realizing she didn't care a hoot if he go or not. Zipping the bag then lies down pulling the covers. Becoming restlessly as the thought of her not caring bothered him immensely. Vince knew he has already burned the bridge but he was unable to fall asleep as many thoughts creeps in about how he was going to succeed with his plan.

Turning to face her thinking, 'She is sleeping so comfortable although she was angry with me when she whispers those words.

All this time I thought she might even ask where I am going? But she doesn't seem to care, or is it she is so hurt from what she overheard, and is angry with me for demanding that she apologize in front of everyone?

Thinking she might retaliate seeing Chrystal hugging him, according to GP, but the incident downstairs was just a simple mistake. Oh boy, she really confuses me sometimes.'
