GP SAID SIDNEY IS LEAVING

GP SAID SIDNEY IS LEAVING

Returning to the hall hoping everyone has left to attend to whatever they do because he needs to speak with GP.

Seeing everyone still sitting when Uncle Myles came and hugs him saying, "Son, I am so proud of you, Sidney is a wonderful person, and I know what happened will take some time to rectify the relationship. Son, trust me when the both of you understand each other things will work out better than you had expected."

"Uncle Myles, I know I was wrong, I have caused Sidney to doubt my love for her, but I know I love her, and I have accepted GP's decision. He knows what's best for my life, and GP, loves me; and has my best interest at heart.

It was only when Sidney left the house I realized if I had married Chrystal, it would have been the biggest mistake in my life.

I thought I had loved Chrystal, but from my first meeting with Sidney I can't explain what happened, but I know, this is the will of God for us to be with each other. Uncle Myles, I promise to make every effort to make this marriage work."

"Then, I am very happy to hear that your son and your grandfather will be very happy and less stressful."

Seeing Uncle Richard leave GP's room, Vince went to GP's room and knock, hearing to enter, Vince opens the door and entered, saying, "It is I, can I speak with you for a moment GP?"

Getting the nod, Vince went and sit on the floor taking his left hand in his, "GP, I am sorry for disappointing you, but I want you to know, I will try not to repeat my mistakes. I know Sidney won't believe that I love her, but if you speak to her and convince her to stay, she won't leave. Please GP, I am begging you, I know she still has intentions of leaving me, GP, only you can change her mind, I am so sorry for hurting the both of you."

Feeling his right hand stroking his head, "I will try, now please stop crying, my heart hasn't been keeping well these few days, but have you spoken to her?"

"Not yet, I thought if you speak with her first, she might not be too angry with me."

"I hope you know she was hurting when she sees you and Chrystal together?"

"I know, and I am very sorry about that, but I have told Chrystal, I want nothing to do with her any longer."

"Very good, is Sidney awake?"

"Yes, she is," hugging his grandfather "I love you GP."

"I love you, my son."

Seeing GP

walking down the stairs thirty minutes later, Vince was afraid to ask what she plans to do. GP looks so despondent and disappointed. When Uncle Myles approached GP asking, "Dad, what is the matter?"

Wiping the tears GP said, "Sidney is leaving us son and I don't know what to do to stop her."

"What? Vince, what is going on? I thought everything was rectified between you two?"

Having no idea what to do, this was his last hope, Vince walks away from everyone, feeling broken inside. Unaware that everyone had followed him except Vanda who remained with GP.

When Sidney heard the squeal she rushes out of the room, wanting to know what was going on. Seeing Grandpa, on the floor, running down the stairs, kneeling next to him shaking him, saying to Vanda, "Vanda, call the Doctor, quickly and where are the others? Vanda, are you listening to me?"

Seeing she just stood there covering her mouth as though she was in shock, running to the phone, calling the doctor then returning to grandpa. "Grandpa, please wake up, Haley helps me rub his hand honey," wondering, 'where were the others?'

When Michael walks through the door seeing Sidney and Haley rubbing Slone's hands as he lies on the floor, he rushes outside calling the others.

Seeing them all in tears and Vince's eyes red she knew he was crying but hurriedly he went and call the doctor then he bends down and took up his grandfather and walk with him to his room.

Without saying or asking anything Sidney hook up the oxygen tank and then keep rubbing his hand it was only a few minutes later the doctor walked through the door. Then Sidney steps aside allowing the Doctor to do his job.

Angry with herself for saying no to his pleading, "Now, I am responsible for him getting sick." Wiping her eyes leaning near the window; watching everyone crying and looking on as the Doctor attends to him, when he asks, "Who hooks on the oxygen tank?"

Sidney went to him, asking, "Did I do something wrong?"

"No my dear you did an excellent job, in fact, I must commend you, on a job well done."

Being afraid still of the outcome she slowly inched away to the back of everyone and then walk out the door., All that was on her mind at that moment was, 'If anything worst happens to him, she will be the one getting all the blame.'

Reaching the church next to the house, Sidney knelt before the altar, just praying, she had no idea what else to do. Feeling so guilty as the tears flow. When she felt someone touch her shoulder, she turns to see who it was.

The Pastor seems concerned seeing the tears, but time has passed so quickly. The place was dark already, "Sorry, I didn't know it was so late."

"It's alright right, you seem, to be carrying a heavy burden and was deep in prayer."

"It's my grandfather, he got sick today after receiving some bad news." 'Afraid to say what battle she was fighting,' she stood up quietly and was leaving.

When the Pastor stops her, "You are leaving without receiving prayer, let me pray with you then you can return to your family?" With water-filled eyes, Sidney humble herself and knelt as the Minister prayed for her, feeling the heavy burden slightly lifted.

He then extended an invitation to her to join them in the morning service which starts at seven. Saying her thanks Sidney slowly leave the church and return home.

SIDNEY WANTED TO KNOW WHERE WAS VINCE

Entering the house, no one seems to be around, thinking they were in Grandpa's room. She became worried as she hurried to his room thinking something must be wrong.

Reaching grandpa's door it was not closed, Sidney enters quietly but grandpa was resting and there was no one keeping watch on him.

Kneeling near the bed she took his hand in hers as she feels for a pulse. Sighing as his pulse felt strong enough pulse beat.

Sidney sits on the floor and began praying with her head resting on his bed. It was not too long after she felt the gentle stroking on her head, causing her to open her eyes,

Whispering to him, "You are all right? Thank God, you had me so scared, now you must stop fooling everyone with your trickery?"

"You are right," wiping her face seeing the tears, "One of these days when it happens for real no one will believe me."

"You have to take care of yourself."Sidney urges as she could not stop the tears feeling happy he is his same old self.

"I want you just to stay for a few more days with me." 'Hoping his plea will reach her heart and she will stay for his sake.'

"I will stay as long as you promise to eat properly, get sufficient rest, and no tension."

Smiling knowing his heart felt so relieved, "I will try to fulfil all your wishes."

"Now you rest, and I will see you in the morning, grandpa!"

"Yes child," seeing the tears as she sits on the bed.

"I am so sorry I said no to you and for causing you to get sick."

Stroking her hand then wipe the tears away. "Oh, my precious child, you are not to be blamed, it is my family who has brought about all your heartache, I am sorry for that especially since I had promised your mother you will be happy."

"Please grandpa, it's not your fault." Standing up Sidney said, "Good night, grandpa, and rest well." Turning to leave, seeing everyone by the door, except Vince wondering where he was?'

Saying goodnight to all the family members that were there, Sidney walks away slowly wondering, 'What was going on? Turning back seeing them turns and look at her, has something happened while I was in the church?

Sidney knew since he brought her home he is always lurking around like a shadow watching him. He is not saying anything and that suits me just fine.'

Then she remembers Haley and she has to return home. Mom must be worried knowing tomorrow is school. Hurrying up the stairs almost breathless as she enters the room. Calling out, "Haley honey, where are you?"

Sidney runs down the stairs but she wasn't anywhere around. 'Maybe Vince went to drop her home?' Walking out to the garage seeing all the other vehicles except his.

Being contented she walks away as memories of the day's events flood back, 'Knowing if she leaves now, grandpa will get sick again, and they will all blame her. Please Lord, just give me the strength and courage for a few more days then I will leave for good and it won't be any turning back.

For now, I will just have o returns the favour Vince did for me by transfusing blood and assisting me with the goons and when James entered the room. I am grateful because he was there and took care of me.'

Returning to the room seeing a page on the floor, Sidney takes it up and reads, "I have taken Haley home; if you return before me, please, give me a call."

Resting the note on the dresser as Sidney felt relieved he has taken Haley home and was glad for the peace, Sidney went to the washroom, then took a long warm bath, Coming out of the tub she felt this chilliness, then sneezed a few times.

Feeling a slight runny nose wondering if getting wet Friday evening is causing these sniffles or did she remained a bit too long in the tub, but the water wasn't cold, so what was causing it?'

Deciding to get herself a hot cup of tea after she changes into her nightgown. Pulling on her baby blue robe over her blue nightgown, Sidney steps into the room, thinking he must have returned already, but he wasn't in the room.

Slowly she venture out into the corridor looking around for Vince but he was nowhere in sight.

Walking down the stairs, going to the kitchen only to see no one has eaten any dinner.

Wondering where did everyone go earlier when she returned from church? And why hasn't anyone eaten their dinner? With her stomach speaking its own language she ignored the thought for a moment and went about fixing a tray for herself and returns to the room.

Halfway through her meal, Sidney heard the groaning and the blowing of his nose. 'Is he unwell? He also got well Friday night, and where was he after he took Haley home?

I am sure he didn't stay long after he drop off Haley. And when did he return to the room? Well, who cares he is a big man,' ignoring him, as she continues with her meal.

Thinking to herself as she eats, 'This must be one of his tricks again to get me to feel sorry for him, and to give in to his plea. I am not getting in his way, and nor am I going to sympathize with him. I am only staying here for the sake of grandpa, then I am leaving.

It's a good thing I did not tell him how I felt about him, God, how stupid I would have felt knowing he was just playing with my emotions.'

Resting the tray aside sipping her tea, pondering from deep within, 'I had bought his lies hook line and sinker. Just like James, he fooled me into believing he loved me, then when the man came with the investment, he encourages me to invest and all this time he had used me to get my money.'

SIDNEY COMPARES THE TWO MEN

Feeling her head gives her slight lancing, thinking at that moment it must be because she hasn't been eating on time. Closing her eyes Sidney felt as though James' face flashes in front of her and how angry his words were, 'Was there any love in his heart for me?

Doesn't he know that love doesn't abuse nor want to kill, loves to protect and brings joy and happiness? Realizing James' actions and his intention, it was to kill me without remorse.

Wiping the tears Sidney refuted, 'All that James did still was not so hurtful as this deception I keep facing with Vince and his X each day since we got married."

Sniffling her nose, Sidney thought, 'So why is it every time I am in trouble he shows up when I was at the camp stranded and those men wanted to tarnish my body? He came just in the knick of time declaring, I am a present help in the times of trouble.

But thank God, I didn't marry James, feeling as though her mind keep comparing both men. 'Why is it I have never seen this side of James, he seems worse than Vince. I don't know how to start to forgive them for all the deception and lies they have put me through.'

Feeling so confused with the way they had both treated her, brought a fresh flow of tears, Sidney felt like her inside was smashed into so many pieces that there was nothing she or anyone could do to fix it.

Going back to what had happened when she got shot, Vince had stepped in when I needed help and he did give me blood according to what I understand. The least I could do to repay the favour is to stick around a little longer until his grandfather becomes stronger. When I leave this place I must not be owing anybody anything.'

Wiping the tears away feeling so hurt, 'Why didn't I discern what was happening? Why was I so weak thinking if I say no to this marriage mom will get sick, but then this is the first time I felt this way for someone.

Although I thought I love James when we kissed I never felt that desire and longing for him as I do for Vince. Even in my pain and tiredness when he kisses me my entire body becomes alive and I felt this sweet sensation causing a fire to surge through my veins.'

Shaking her head, 'What the hell is wrong with you Sidney? It seems as though you are losing your mind. Because he will keep hurting you, is that what you want?' Sidney ponders on those words.

When she heard a voice in her head saying, "I am trying to figure out exactly what is going on with you. Is it because you love him and it hurts when that trust is broken or are you jealous of his X?"

Responding to the voice, "It could be a little of the both, I have nothing to hide but I feel like I am caught in the middle."

When the voice said, "You know that marriage is a commitment, weak or not you already made it, so trust your heart, love covers a multitude of sins. Know this, your heart is in the right place and you don't want to hurt anyone, isn't that why you are staying here so Slone won't get sick, or is it because you really want to be with Vince?"

"Yes, I want to do the two, and besides I don't want to get the blame if I leave and something worse happens to his grandfather, I will feel guilty and won't forgive myself. And another thing Vince helps me when the need arises, and he also confesses he loves me, so should I just give up and throw in the towel?"

"Oh my dear girl you have many mishaps and shortcomings, you might even think you are cursed. But instead of thinking about those negative things think of the small gifts that you impart to others, the water you give when it is needed, and the good and loving care you give to your loved ones.

Don't you think God sees those little things, your daily contributions, you are strong and courageous especially when you take time to help the needy and feed the poor.

Remember when you reach out to them you are also doing it unto God. One thing that stands out the most though matters what comes your way you always put aside every indifference and rise to the occasion, that in itself speaks for itself also you never quit and everyone needs a second chance."

"Okay, what should I do?"

"Well you are here already why don't you play it by air and see where it will lead, you will never know what the wind could blow in, weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning?"827

Sidney felt so restless with all the thoughts flowing through her head, Whispering, "Lord, is this my destiny, after serving You so faithfully for all these years? Is this my reward for being faithful to You? Tell me where have I fallen short to experience this punishment and pain?

Vince once said that You had put us together, yet I am being hurt by his constant deception. The least You could have done was save me from this heartache. Now I am broken, my peace is gone, and I feel so empty inside."

Taking her tray to the kitchen seeing a tray cover on top of the kitchen counter, and Molly was busy cleaning up, "Molly, who did you prepare this tray for?"

"Mistress, it is for the young sir he hasn't come down for dinner yet."

Uncovering it to see what was in it, "Molly, this is not acceptable, how did I show you to fix his tray when I am not around?"

VINCE HAD TO CALL THE DOCTOR

When Molly responds to her rebuke, "Mistress, I know what you told me but we are all out of fruits, tomorrow we will get fresh fruits."

Apologising to Molly, knowing her head was already swollen with all those negative thoughts, and it is her duty to prepare her husband meals. "I am sorry and will you take some extra fruits please, grandpa needs to eat extra fruits and I am going on a fruit fast?"

"Yes, Mistress, I will."

Refixing his tray Sidney makes a hot cup of tea and a sandwich takes out a half portion of the meat and places a slice of fish.

"Mistress, Sir doesn't like too much fish."

"Thanks for telling me, Molly," cutting the slice of fish in half and then covers his tray.

Sidney recalled the day they had lunch and she gave him the fish, he seems to enjoy it. Removing the cover from the tray and tasting the fish, twitched her lips.

She then removes the fish immediately from the plate and places back the portion of meat. Taking the tray with her to the room.

Hoping he has come out, but he didn't, wondering, 'If he was really, sick and what was keeping him?' The closet room door was still closed but there wasn't any sound.

Returning to the sofa Sidney took her medication, resting the glass on the floor. It was already thirty minutes and he was still inside the closet room.

'Suppose something is really wrong with him and I think it's one of his tricks?' Becoming a little concerned Sidney stood up and went to the closet room.

Opening the door quietly and seeing him sitting on a chair, he seems alright. Returning to the sofa quietly, hoping he will come and eat his dinner before it gets cold.

Feeling so tired and drained from the few days travelling and not eating properly. Sidney felt the throbbing pain in her temple, and her inside continues to tremble.

Having no idea what to do to stop it, even the hot tea didn't remove that chilliness.

Becoming angry because he wasn't coming out, Sidney checks the time, it was just fifteen minutes since she had last checked on him.

The time was moving so slow and the wait was becoming frustrating by the minute.

Unable to wait any longer becoming concerned, she enters the washroom, hoping her movement will wake him if he was asleep or praying it will break his focus.

Not looking at him as she enters the washroom hearing him mumbling something, but she closes the door and waited about five minutes before flushing then came out.

He was still sitting in the same position, angry but determined, Sidney decided she was not going to speak with him. Walking out of the closet room with such rage, she just slumped down on the sofa,

"What do I care it's his choice to sleep there anyhow? If he wants the food he will have to eat it cold, if not he could sleep hungry."

Opening his eyes, Vince get's up from the chair wanting to use the washroom. Wondering if she had returned.

Vince knows when he brought Haley earlier her mother instructed him to ensure that Sidney gets sufficient rest and to return Haley before seven that said evening.

Stepping into the room seeing Sidney lying on the floor, bending down Vince took care of picking her up, she smell wonderful so when did she come and where did she go having everyone looking for her?

Feeling her body trembling, Vince rests her on the bed not wanting her to fall off the sofa again. Recalling when she used the tablets, 'she sleep very soundly and for a long period of time.'

Noticed this big bump on her forehead, touching it, it was so soft and mussy as he removes her hair from her face, but her body was shivering uncontrollably.

When her teeth began to rattle, he became very worried, as he thought that maybe the wound in her hand was infected.

Hurrying he took a thick blanket covering her, waiting for a few minutes but she was still trembling. When her teeth began rattling even louder he becomes very concerned, not waiting another minute Vince calls Dr. Joseph to relate what is happening.

Vince knows it will take Dr. Joseph at least thirty to forty minutes to organise and reach here, he hurried towards the bathroom to freshen up when he kicked the glass on the floor right next to the centre table where she had the tray

Taking it up he saw next to the tray where he rest the glass the pills the doctor had prescribed for her when she got the gunshot. 'I am sure she is still having lots of pain.'

Vince hurry and took his shower then change, checking his time to see he took at least twenty minutes. Going to the front knowing everyone was resting and he didn't want anyone to be disturbed and become worried.

When the doctor reach, it was eleven fifteen, half an hour later he left after attending to her he had gives her a booster shot and also check the wound. Vince heard when he sigh before he change the dressing. Saying to him, "She is a bit malnourished so see that she get some vitamins and eat properly."

Securing the premises Vince took his tray and reheat his food and return to his room to eat.

While he was eating all he was thinking about was, when did she returned and he didn't hear anything. I was praying so why is it when she freshen up he was unaware, did I dozed off?

With that thought in mind, he rests the tray on the floor and lies on the sofa using the covering she had folded on the sofa and pulls it over him.

The room was hot but she wasn't well so he relax, closing his eyes.

Vince was tired and he need a few hours of good rest, seeing it was already one in the morning.

As he whispers a word of prayer, he looks at her when she shifts in the bed facing him. Happy that she had settled down then he closed his eyes.

SIDNEY TAKE HEED TO THE WORD

When the scream came Vince's eyes flip open as he rushes to her side having to cut his prayer short.

She was dreaming but it seems as though she was wrestling with someone seeing all the movement and the way she was swinging her hand around.

Hearing her saying, "I now realized it is you that want me to leave, but your plan fail, better yet now that I know I am not leaving, you are trying to separate us but every attempt you have made has failed."

Seeing the way she keeps throwing her hand Vince knew she feels she is fighting someone for real. hearing her shriek then her hand began to bleed. "What the hell is going on? She is dreaming and her hand didn't hit anything."

Vince realized it was something evil that is hurting her, and all this time I thought she must be dreaming Chrystal.

When she snapped and said out loud, "So is it you that is working with that bastard?"

Hearing her laugh, "Well for your information he is in prison and soon you will be joining him, that I promise you."

Vince was baffled and scared, it was the first time he is seeing anything like this. Having no idea how to help in this battle. He realized she is getting an insight into things that will happen. He also knows in the morning she won't remember anything.

Wanting to make sure who she is struggling with, Vince asks, "Sidney, who are you speaking with?"

"Oh so you are here to help her, well I will finish the both of you." Knowing for definite now it was Chrystal she was speaking about. Vince began to talk to God, petitioning Him to help her with this battle.

Having no idea how to fight a spiritual battle, yes I read the word, I don't go to church but because of GP, I occasionally attend thanksgiving services with him.

Sidney finally settle down at about two, all that was in Vince's mind was, 'Was Chrystal working along with James?'

Seeing how sweaty she was but he knows she overreacts while she dreams. 'Maybe now she will rest but it seems we still have to be very careful. Chrystal wanted to hurt her, and James tried to kill her also destroying her business. I know they are angry because she is fighting back. I am going to support her and with the help of the Lord we will win.'

Wanting so much to lie down on his bed he knew it was big enough that they won't even touch each other, but he didn't want her to become angrier with him.

Waking to see she was on the bed instead of the sofa and he was asleep on the sofa. "Did I sleepwalk to the bed?"

Looking at him how big he was and how uncomfortable he lies on the sofa, with his foot hanging out the handrest, his body barely fits on the sofa.

Admiring him for a minute, he looks so relaxed wanting to touch his face and stroke his thick black eyebrows but instead she pulls the covers over him, seeing the tray she had left his dinner in on the floor.

"Dear God," seeing the sheet soil from the tea cup dregs, removing his sheet and replacing it with the covers from the bed. Hearing the beep from his watch Sidney checks the time. "Oh boy, I will be late this morning," hurrying she organize herself recalling the Minister invited her for the morning service.

While washing her face Sidney felt the bump, wondering where did she bounce her head. Touching the swollen area, it felt mussy inside.

Before applying her makeup she rubs it with a healing balm and then applies the makeup over it.

Closing the door softly holding her purse and her bible as she hurries down the stairs. Hearing the phone ring, she looks around when it rings the second time Molly came.

Leaving her to it Sidney hurried to the side door and walks to the side of the house just as she did yesterday.

Hurrying along she know if she had to travel to her church she will be late so she was left with no choice. Also, it's a nice opportunity to show my gratitude, and she got her prayer answered.

At the church, she enters a minute to seven noticing the few people there all turn around to look at her. Wondering if Vince had followed her knowing he constantly kept his eyes on her, turning around only to realise it was she they were looking at.

There were mostly elderly women, Sidney smiles with them as she raised her hand and waved. It seems that the church members have a special section for the young people and another for the elderly.

Sitting quietly sits at the back having two minds if to stay or go. When the Minister stood at the pulpit at exactly seven on the dot, everyone stands as the minister welcome everyone.

Hearing him saying to me, "My daughter comes closer to the front." Being obedient Sidney walked up to the front row, thanking the Lord, 'He knows I hate sitting at the back.' Seeing his smiles just then those that were sitting behind me now stood up.

Noticing everyone looking at her but then they also walk up closer occupying the few rows closer to the front.

Although it had about twenty to twenty-five people the Minister didn't allow that to stop him nor was he disappointed. Sidney felt pleased with the worship, then the Minister called a youth name Victor to read.

He seems very brilliant as he stood without any fear and read from the book of Esther chapter four.

When he returns to his seat Sidney thought, 'It seems I have to do like Esther.'When I told Molly to buy extra fruits, I still wasn't sure but this is a confirmation that I should follow through with what I said.
