The Rizzlers Strike Back

The Chrys that I knew was gone. I asked around school the next day but no one had any idea who I was talking about. They only knew Chris sensei, who was nothing like my Chryzzler. Had I been misunderstanding Chris as Chrys this entire time ? Was it another one of Skittles' games ? Or could he really be gone…

Chrys mentioned that Skittle wasn't my enemy, but that could have been another misunderstanding. Maybe I'm just overthinking everything. Heh, it wouldn't be the first time.

*swoop*

"Yes yes yes Haister. 3 in a row. "

"You know it Aj desu"

At least my Hoopism was back. After telling Abi chan about everything with Chrys, we decided it was best not to tell the others about my ability or the Hooper Society. For their safety of course. Not because I was technically cheating or anything. Shhhhh.

Our second game was against ETMSHS. When we arrived at their courts I felt an ominous aura permeate through the air. Cracks of lightning could be heard all around the stadium, with dark gray clouds blocking any sliver of sunlight from reaching the ground. Snail tard looked as if someone had just fanum taxed the last of his food. I guess he noticed it too.

"You feel it too don't you snail tard."

He turned his head to the side and slid his finger across his jawline. He looked at me and wagged his finger.

"Oopsie. Gomen gomen"

I guess he was just mewing.

The bleachers were filled with students from their school, and it looked like no one from ours bothered to show up. I must have disappointed them all. I needed to prove my worth. I was able to at least spot Joma in the crowd with three other people, all wearing shirts with the letters OHFC on it. Hermmm that's peculiar. At least it was something.

I called over the guys for a quick huddle.

"Let's show these posers what the rizzlers are made of. That squid game ain't no game. "

Hahaha scratched his chin.

"Da rizzlers aye. Ouw bout duh TTMS Rizzlers. As owr team name. Gotta nice ring tu it dunnit it."

"Now you're speaking me language tehehe."

"Bring it in fellas. Rizz on 3 rizz on 3"

"1. 2. 3. Rizz !!"

We all got into our positions on the court, with snail tard getting ready for the toss up.

Game on.

We became hooper gods. Well at least I did. I demolished every team that came our way. The other fellas did good too I guess hrmph. But it was mainly because of how awesome I was. What can I say.

More and more of our classmates also started showing up to our games, wearing the same shirt as Joma. I asked her about it after one of our matches.

"They're for the Overthinking Hooper Fan Club."

"Nani ?"

"I'm the president don't ya know"

I was just gooning around before, but I guess it was inevitable they would form a club dedicated to me. How could they not ?

We went undefeated for the rest of the regular season, and slammed our way through the playoffs. My hard work paid off. I definitely deserved to be here through all the honest to gosh skills I demonstrated during the season.

Something didn't sit right with me though. It all felt too easy. I thought that Skittle would have tried to interfere before letting me get this far. If he was gonna try something, it was gonna have to be at the Big Tournament. There's supposed to be 8 schools competing, meaning we needed to beat three of them to win it all.

Did he want me to get this far ? Would these be our hardest adversaries yet. Who the h knows what'll be waiting for us.

We had a week to prepare.
