35 Chapter 35

It's been a week since the match. The team couldn't practice volleyball as they had extra classes. Due to this Coach said that they won't have training until Monday so that gave a lot of free time.

Daiki currently in town walking towards a bookstore.

' With all this free time I managed to catch up on some great books. Let's see if I can find some at this bookstore.' He thought.

The bookstore he's at was new. He opened recently so he decided to go see it. He headed inside was amazed at interior design.

The bookstore had 2 floors. The first floor had more books and rows compared to the second and held more space. That's why there are more lounge areas for to sit and read those books.

The second floor was smaller than the first but still held some spaces for reading. The store had a homey feeling to it. It made Daiki feel relaxed.

Daiki headed up to the second floor and started to browse for the book he wanted.

' Sigh I can't find books I'm interested in. Let's just pick one and read it. ' He thought.

He then went around one of the bookshelves and bumped into someone.He looked down and saw it was Kiyoko.

" Kiyoko san. Sorry about that. I wasn't looking where I was going. "

" Its fine. "

Daiki helped her up.

" So what are you doing here? " Kiyoko asked.

" Trying to find a good book to read. Haven't found any. " Daiki said.

" I know some books but I don't know if you would like them. "

" In all honesty I'm pretty bored so I'll try those books. "

" Okay. "

As they found the books they went to a near by lounge and started reading in comfortable silence. Daiki was currently really into the book.After I while Daiki decided to strike up a conversation.

" So are you a binge reader or read a few chapters before stopping reader? "

Kiyoko thought for minute before saying,

" I'm more of a binge reader. Sometimes when I'm curious I read a few chapters but since I'm busy I usually hold it off until i have free time."

" Same. "

" Okay now for my question. "

They continued to ask questions and enjoyed their time with each other. After a while Daiki checked his phone.

" Its 3pm. I'm going to get something to eat. Wanna join me? " Kiyoko thought for a few minutes.

" Sure. I was getting hungry anyways. "

" Great. There's this shop that sells great food near here. "

They headed over to the restaurant. The restaurant served beverages and different foods. Daiki decided to have a burrito with a soda while Kiyoko decided to have some pasta, a salad and some lemonade.

" This is really good. " Daiki said.

" It really is. " Kiyoko said with a small smile. Daiki just stared at her.

' Okay I knew she was cute in the anime and in real life but this is just icing on the cake. ' He thought while staring at her.

Kiyoko noticed and asked,

" Is something wrong? " Daiki snapped out of it.

" No it's just that you look more beautiful with a smile on your face.You should smile more. "

Kiyoko blushed a little at the complement. She started to think for bit.

" Daiki can I call you Dai chan? "

" Ehh sure. But are you sure you want to use the nickname given to me by Tendou. "

" Yep. It's a cute nickname. " Kiyoko said with a small smile.

" Hmm okay. But you have to smile more. "

" Okay Dai chan. " Kiyoko said with a smile.

After spending the day with Kiyoko Daiki headed home but on the way he kept thinking of about when he talked with Kiyoko.

" That was pretty nice. I feel a lot more relaxed than before. "

Daiki went to his room and decided to read the books he bought.

Meanwhile at Kiyokos house.

Kiyoko opens the door and walks in. She heads towards the kitchen and sees her mother.

" So how was the new bookstore? "

" It was good. " Kiyoko said with a small smile.

Kiyoko mother then runs up and grabs her daughter's shoulders.

" Kiyoko honey you never smile.Did something good happen? "

" Yeah. " Kiyoko said with a small blush.

" Is it a boy? " Kiyoko blush just gets a little darker.

" My baby girl finally got a crush.Who is he? Is a good person? "

" Mom!!"

" Sorry sweety but this is the first time a boy got your attention. I just want to know if he's good for you. "

" Mom it's fine. I just spent the day with him that's all. "

" Did he take you to a restaurant? "

" Yeah. "

" Did he pay for the meal? "

" Yeah. "

" My dear daughter you just went on your first date. "

Kiyoko just blushes harder at the realisation.Her mother then asks questions about Daiki while the man in question is sitting on his bed reading a book.
