Chapter 28

The next day Daiki got up early did his normal routine before heading to the gym. Day 2 of the tournament has 2 matches. If Karasuno wins their ist natch of the day they then face Shiratorizawa.First they must beat Tokonami High.

' Looking over the videos of their matches during the bus ride home was a good idea. ' Daiki thought.

Daiki soon reached the gym and went in. He saw most of them there and were waiting for the rest to come. Looking around he saw Daichi looking conflicted. He went towards him.

" Daichi sempai. What's wrong?"

Daichi jumped a little before looking at Daiki.

" Oh nothing's wrong. "

" Its about the match against Tokonami isn't it?" Daiki says while giving Daichi a deadpan expression.

" Sigh your ability is scary. But yes. " Daichi says.

" Care to talk about it? " Daiki asks.

Daichi looked conflicted debating whether to till Daiki or not.Daiki however notices and says,

" If you don't want to it's fine. "

" No I'll tell you. Best to get this off my mind anyway. I have a friend who went to Tokonami. We made a promise that we would meet and play against eachother but we couldn't even get past the first round last year."

Daiki stayed silent listening looking at Daichi with blank expression.

" So?"

Daichi looked at him when he said with a surprised expression.

" Your playing him now arnt you. Just because failed to keep your promise last year doesn't you broke it. Your playing him now. Focus. Our match with them is today. You need to be at your best. So forget last year and focus on the now. "

Daichi looked at him for a bit before smiling.

' Your right I can't be down. We're playing against them in a few hours. '

With that thought he lined up as the coach arrived.

" Alright listen up we will be playing against Tokonami. Daiki already watched the video and made a plan so listen up. "

" The plan is this. Tokonami doesn't have anyone on the level of people like Daichi for example in personal skill. Their teamwork however is pretty good but it has a lot of flaws. Getting past will be easy. This is what we will start off with..."

It was now time for the match against Tokonami. After getting to the court we took our time to warm up. I watched as Daichi went and talked with his friend. Seems they patched things up.

The match was now starting. Seems we get to serve first.

Suga served the ball and it to other side where Tokonami libero recieved it. Their setter sent it to Daichis friend. He spiked the ball but Daiki denied him and the ball fell to the floor.

Tokonami was surprised. They got shut thanks to a basic serve and block. When they looked at Karasuno they felt a chill go up their spines.

Their eyes were dead set on winning. At that moment they felt some fear. And then they saw it. Behind them they saw a bunch crows with their eyes looking at them as if they were food.

Karasuno won. The match was a complete massacre. Tokonami stood no chance. Daikis plan worked perfectly ending with them winning. All the players were focused not letting up till the end.

Karasuno was going to face Shiratorizawa in the next match. By the end of the match Tokonami were destroyed by a murder of crows.

" So that happened." Daichi friend.

" Yeah. " Daichi replied

" Your first years are insane. "

" Tell me something that I don't know. "Daichi friend chuckled a bit. It was there second year but he hasn't trained and they lost.

" I'll beat you next year. "

" Well see. "

They fist bumped before leaving.
