60 Zanpakuto

After Yamamoto left, Hades concentrated and searched the dimensions for Oetsu's spiritual pressure. He found it very quickly and replaced himself next to Oetsu. 

I appeared next to Oetsu who was inside his forge. It seemed he already had a similar setup as he did in the story. Why change what isn't broken, right? 

"Woah, shiiit, man. Don't go scarin' a brotha' like that man. I almost died there.", Oetsu said.

"Haha, I apologise. I should have notified you that I was coming.", Hades said.

"Wait a minute! How on earth did you get here anyway? The Soul King Palace is supposed to be sealed man. How did you get in? Does Ocho know you here?"

"I'm sure he does. But that is not important right now. I am here for the thing we talked about. Do you remember?"

"Oh, you mean your Zanpakuto, yeah?"

"Indeed. Those that are distributed can't hold all of my power, so I thought I'd ask you if you could make me one instead."

"Why yes I remember that we talked 'bout somethin' like that. But you fo' real? The Asauchi can't hold out in your hands?"

"Yes, I tried with one after they got released and it just dissolved like instantly."

"Oh my ... you must have quite a powerful soul eh?"

"Indubitably."

"Hm, well if the man Ichibe ain't got no problem with you bein' here then I don't either. So let us go and get you an Asauchi.", Oetsu said and then led Hades out of the forge and into the Hōōden where all the Asauchis are that Oetsu has already created. 

"Well, this is it. Down there is the place for you to get your Asauchi. Just make sure to hold on.", Oetsu says while smiling. 

This man truly believes that Hades is a simpleton of the level of Ichigo and Renji. But he is so far ahead of Oetsu that it's cheating at this point. Hades walks into the dark space and just descends to the ground where he lands on his feet perfectly. 

"Wow, now that was some cool landing you did there. Now you see all these you see here are-"

"Asauchi. I can tell. The way the soul substance is stacked in multiple layers. Truly a fine invention, Oetsu.", Hades says and looks around. 

"Correct you smart ass. Now let us see whether you get acknowledged."

Hades looks around at all the Asauchi who look at him curiously. No one moves or attacks him. He waits for a moment, trying to figure out what they are waiting for. He was expecting them to try and attack him, but since they had no reason to be angry at him, there didn't seem to be any fighting going on. 

"Well? Are you all going to stare at me like that? Or are we going to fight? But know this, I have no interest in a weak Asauchi. I challenge you all to try and become mine because at the moment ...

... you are all too weak to become my Zanpakuto.", Hades tells them in an almost sinister tone. 

This seems to trigger a reaction. Some begin to attack him. Hades just stands there and takes it all. Their punches don't even feel like anything. 

After a moment, Hades sighs deeply and is disappointed.

*Siiigh*

"You're embarrassing yourselves, lads. Let me show you."

Hades taps his foot on the ground lightly, creating a huge shockwave that pushes every and all Asauchi away from him. They all fly backwards.

The Asauchi stand up and look at him again. They seem to reassess Hades. Then something interesting happens. The Asauchi begin to walk towards each other and fuse. After a moment there are about 100 new Asauchi in their place that all surround Hades. 

"Wha... This has never happened before.", Oetsu says. He is far too surprised to gather his thoughts. Right now one of these 100 Asauchis is a fusion of roughly 100 each, maybe more. This makes them unbelievably dense and normally it would not be able to imprint your essence on it, due to the density. But he was very interested now.

"Looks like you're surrounded Eimin bro.", Oetsu says with a smile.

Hades snorts and doesn't even open his eyes. 

"All I am surrounded by is fear ... and dead Asauchis."

This was not well received and the Asauchis attacked him. It didn't matter though as Hades simply unleashed some of his aura and crushed them like they were experiencing thousands of g's. The only thing that was left was a gooey soul substance of all the fused Asauchi. Hades was not impressed though. He felt that it was not right. Still not right. Something was missing.

New Asauchi came closer and stood on the gooey substance. Slowly the substance travelled upwards to fuse with them. But that was still not enough. More and more Asauchi approached each other and finally, all of them fused into one. This one stood before Hades and observed him as Hades observed the new Asauchi.

He could feel it. This was the one. It would suffice for now. He felt a connection to it. 

Hades walked towards the Asauchi. When he arrived just before it, the Asauchi bent the knee. This was not weird for Hades as he was a king, the King of the Underworld and so many more things. It made sense for it to bow and bend the knee. 

Hades smiled lightly and held out his hand. 

"You're the one. Come ... if you dare."

The Asauchi grabbed his hand the moment their hands touched, Hades connected to it spiritually. He connected to it with his soul to see whether it would crumble, but it didn't. It was the one.

Oetsu's jaw had long hit the ground. He had never seen someone destroy the Asauchis like this. And when Hades stood before him with an Asauchi next to him, he wasn't sure what to do. It should not be possible to even forge this thing. It consisted of about 10^100 Asauchis or more and the density would be so great that the heat of his Mera could not even get it to melt. 

"Hm, I'll have to go old school on this one. Maybe get some more Zanpakuto to help me there.", Oetsu thought. 

They arrived at the forge and Oetsu called the Asauchi... But nothing happened. The Asauchi was no longer under his control. He had no idea what happened. The Asauchi looked at Hades for permission and he nodded his head.

Only then did the Asauchi allow himself to be used and formed by Oetsu. And then the process of forging began. 

Oetsu called many Zanpakuto ladies to help him with the process but it was proving to be impossible to melt the Asauchi. He called more and more to help him when Hades stood up and approached Mera.

He held his hands on her head and did something for her. 

"What did you do?", she asked.

"Try again.", Hades said.

Mera then tried again to heat the Asauchi. And oh boy. This time it was almost like the heat of the core of a star. Finally, the Asauchi began to melt and Oetsu started his work. It was the hardest work he ever did, hands down. And the process took hours and days. 

After about three days of constantly forging Hades felt something call out to him. He walked closer to the forge and then grabbed the Asauchi, with his hands.

Hades' consciousness was transported into his inner world... or inner Universe was better. He looked around and saw ... chaos. There were thousands upon thousands of different dimensions and boundaries were created and destroyed again. 

Some parts looked like the dimensions of a certain Dragon Ball villain. But there was more to this Universe than just a constant cycle between boundaries. There was life and death, creation and destruction. Different forces pulled and pushed, resulting in the creation of planets and solar systems or black holes and then destruction again.

"It's beautiful ... isn't it?", a voice said next to him.

"It is.", Hades answered without even turning around. He knew who it was anyway. He could feel the connection and affection.

"You are very proud ... I like that.", this time it was a feminine voice.

"Between Heaven and Earth, we alone are the Honoured One.", Hades said.

"Haha, I know. But to have you say we, right off the bat ... that is refreshing to hear.", again the feminine voice.

"I am not a fool that is afraid of my own power. I fully embrace everything that comes my way. I was looking for my partner for a long time and now that I found him, I won't be scared of him/her.", Hades says and then finally turns to the voices he heard.

There in front of him are three people. One is a gender-neutral person with a body similar to Ashborn. The second is Janemba from Dragon Ball, but he looks different with different colours. They are darker and more sinister. 

The last person is a woman. She has a dark cloak that keeps her face hidden in darkness, but Hades knows what's under her. Every time light shines on her face, he can see the skeleton that lies underneath the hood. 

"Three aspects of myself. Fitting.", Hades says. 

"Haha, I agree. I am surprised that you have absolutely no reaction or problem with what you see.", the woman says.

"But it pleases us.", Janemba adds.

"However ...", Death says.

"... you want to fight.", Hades finishes her sentence. He already knew this was going to happen. He had challenged the Asauchi and they also had pride, so it was natural.

"Yes." "We do."

After they said this, the three began to fuse again. All three flashed in a very bright light and after a moment the light was gone and instead of the three there was only one person left. 

Interestingly it was a woman. She had pitch-black hair that seemed to act like shadows and had a pink tip at the end. She wore dark violet lipstick and somehow quite a sexy shadow armour that only seemed to accentuate her curves rather than hide them.

In her hands was a sword that had the form of a sword similar in appearance to a Chinese Jian. But it wasn't truly one. One edge of the blade was longer and slightly curved at the end, giving it a Katana feel. 

The sword had a pure white edge and the rest was dark and seemed to release black smoke akin to shadows. The darkness seemed to pull everything in that the sword would cut. 

"Marvellous.", Hades said after he looked his Zanpakuto Spirit over. He was very satisfied with the power he felt. 

"I'm glad you like it. But I think you owe me a fight, no? The challenge you told all the Asauchi ... I heard that and I accept it. Let us see whether you deserve to wield me."

The blade was swung. She seemed to blink out of existence only to reform right in front of Hades, who still hadn't moved. 

He looked at her with wide eyes. Her grace and deadlyness mesmerised him. He couldn't take his eyes off of her when she moved and swung her sword at him. 

Hades smiled and spread his arms wide. He would take them and welcome them as his partner/-s in their entirety. 

The cut came and Hades could feel it. The sheer power it carried. He felt time and space as well as everything else being cut. This was a cut that could cut death itself and even all sorts of boundaries. 

"What a glorious Zanpakuto you are...", Hades said with a smile. 

"... but who do you think I am? I don't do things half-heartedly. There was no reason to test my heart. I welcome you fully."

She smiled at that. 

"I see... I should have known. Thank you. Why don't you call out my name? You should know me fully. There is no need for games or secrets between us.", she said with Hades' head on her lap. 

"Sure ... Shūen no Kyōkai..."

Back in the forge, Hades pulled his Zanpakuto out. An explosion of apocalyptical proportions razed everything to the ground. And just when the entire Soul Society was about to be affected ... it all stopped. 

As if the explosion was erased with an eraser everything was back to normal and no one was the wiser that the entire world was almost destroyed.
