Final paper

Linda and Doris was left behind to clean up the compound,that was the least thing they can do to help. They slept over and travelled back to school the next day.

"mother am truly sorry for the loss of your friend" Sophie said feeling pity over her mom. Linda replied "no problem my child is all in the past now,and more especially all thanks to Aunty Doris she was with me during my trial moments, through thick and thin". Sophie immediately cut her short saying" wait a minute mother, this your Doris friend, is she the same Aunty Doris we know?". Linda replied her smiling "yes my daughter she is the one, she later got married to one Christian brother in her Church, few months later they travelled to Turkey, that is were they are residing". Sophie got up and said" no Wonder mum, she has been so nice to us,all thanks to her too "she added smiling too. Linda looked at her" and now you have made me jump some parts of the story to tell you this one ". " am so sorry mum" Sophie said soberly. "is fine let me continue from were I stopped"

When we got back home,we continued with our normal school activities, and with the words of encouragement from Doris I got up from my feet and started taking my books serious,with time my Marks started increasing I wasn't failing anymore.

It is our final year in school,and our last semester, we worked more hard for our final exams,with the help of Doris we went to the library to study. Linda didn't pay for any lecturer again because her friends in which she does it with are no more,so she was left with Doris, she had no choice but to follow her in her good ways,going through the normal ways of passing exam which is through reading,burning the midnight oil as there exam was fast approaching.

Finally there exams are here,Linda being a natural intelligence girl didn't really find the exam too difficult because she read,and she scaled through, the last day for the final paper reached and the students were super excited,,dancing, happy because it is the last exam they will be writing in school, and no more lectures, test,assignments some were taking shots.

All these jubilations wasn't for Linda as she remembered her lost friends again, if it wasn't for the cold hands of death,they will be alive and be jubilating with other students she thought aloud. she just went and sat outside only her crying, the thoughts of her lost friends breaks her heart. Her course mate named Precious saw her and how she was crying in the midst of this jubilation went to her"hi Linda you aren't inside,and you are crying, come on let's go inside and have some fun before the exams starts because you can't enter the exam hall looking like that". Linda ignored her. "Linda am I not talking to you,come on let's go inside, this won't help at all" she said again. Linda looking at her said "precious what is your problem, how is me staying outside your business, please allow me, I want to stay on my own".Precious looked at her angrily" Linda why would you use those harsh words on me, I was only being concerned as a course mate". Linda replied "thanks for your concern and take it somewhere else, maybe one or two of our course mate needs it and not me,please go and leave me alone". " ever since your friends left you,you have been so hard on yourself, if nobody have told you this, I just did, you refused to make new friends, always on your own,the Linda we knew then that was full of life and now see you" . Linda immediately retorted "precious or whatever you call yourself don't you ever bring up my dead friends in our discussion, do you hear me, get out now". Precious stood up" sorry ooh,but let me tell you now,people are now talking that you might have a hand in their death,how can two of your best friends die miserable like that, just so you know ". Linda looked at her angrily" I know you are one of them, to hell with all of you rubbish" she said angrily and Left her.

The time for the exam reached the hall was so quiet, as every student was seen writing down something on their answer sheet. Linda at this point wasn't writing, she was thinking about what Precious told her,how can students be so callous of imagining her killing her own two friends, how is that possible, so that was why nobody refuses to come close to her, although she already made up her mind not to make friends with anybody, for this girl to say this that means the rumor has been going on she doesn't even know, she thought to herself. She was so deep in thought that when the in vigilator announced one hour remaining out of two hours she came back to herself and realized that she has not written a word. she began to write,after one hour they all submitted and the whole noise increased the more, as the final year students made more noise,there was excitement and jubilation everywhere as students started pouring each other waters and minerals.

All this wasn't for Linda as she submitted her paper she immediately left ,she sat down in her bed and started crying. Few minutes later Doris came back with songs of praise in her mouth thanking God for his mercy,guidance and protection all through out her stay in school. Doris entered inside and met Linda crying, she stopped singing and went to her" Linda why are you crying today when your fellow students are out there rejoicing and thanking God for leading them through".
