By the time he was in Hong's hands he was unconscious and the fusion armor had already vanished, Hong checked Zise's body and he was shocked to see how much damage he had taken.

all the bones in his arms were broken and he has severe tissue damage in his body but miraculously none of his vital organs were injured.

he had protected them at the cost of the rest of his body, with the explosive nature of his final attacks one wouldn't believe he was working with this amount of damage, the pain he was experiencing must have been beyond imagination.

Spirit beast fusion was very dangerous as not only would it affect the cultivators cultivation it also affected the level of the spirit beast and even worse normally left severe damage to the cultivator's meridians,

although it was possible to survive the people who used it were normally level 4 and above meaning their recovery potential was already high thanks to their elemental core.

at that moment there was a flash of purple light as a meter long lizard appeared besides Zise, this was his thunder dragon in its disguised form.

it looked straight into Hong's eyes and he could see fear in its eyes, fear of oncoming danger. the lizard then turned to look deeper into the forest.

it had a low roar humming in its throat and not long after that a deep roar was heard from deep in the forest, Hong understood then that the lizard was warning him.

it had detected danger approaching them, if Zise was awake he would have understood its meaning but Hong couldn't speak to it so he didn't understand its warning in time.

as he watched the little lizard transformed into a forty meter dragon, however instead of four stripes on its back it had three.

this was clearly an effect of beast fusion he didn't understand what effect it would have on Zise but he clearly understood its meaning now.

it was buying him time, clearly it could sense that the oncoming threat was too great for them, it let loose a loud roar that Hong found himself incapable of hearing for a short while afterward.

it turned to him and gave him a stare that was clearly telling him to hurry up. he summoned his spirit beast which was actually a nine tailed sun phoenix.

he placed Zise on the Phoenix and together they soared into the skies, the Phoenix flew towards the city and military encampment before it.

as he was in the air, he saw scores of figures moving in the dark heading towards the dragon, he flew as fast as they possibly could,

on arrival at the military camp, he deposited the injured Zise and he asked them to take good care of him, he then awakened his spirit beast armor.

this was different from beast fusion because in this state, both the cultivator and spirit beast don't get injured at all, however it needed an elemental core to be performed.

this way he maximized his power and since his spirit beats was a Phoenix, his armor also had wings, he soared into the skies moving fast enough to generate after shocks.

he arrived quickly at the site of their former battle and there he found the dragon fighting for its life, in the short time they were gone it had massacred close to ten beasts already however it was still surrounded.

it had cuts allover its body and it was bleeding profusely, he unleashed his flames at the spirit beasts charing most of them dead, he made sure not to disintegrate them as he was certain they would nee them later.

he brandished his hammer and bludgeoned the others dead, the wave had been cleared just as fast however more would be coming, he turned towards the dragon and expressed his desire to keep it safe.

apparently it understood him as in that very moment it shrunk down back to a 1 meter lizard, he used a special storage device to collect all the beast bodies and their crystals.

he didn't keep any for himself even the ones he had killed, he placed them all together, he then picked up the lizard and together they flew towards the military camp.

as he arrived the military soldiers were shocked to see he had gone back for the 1 meter long lizard, however after seeing the cuts on its body they understood that it must have sacrificed itself to secure their escape.

that must only mean this lizard was a spirit beast, probably the beast belonging to Hong's student, he. brought the beast straight to Zise and placed the storage device between one of its scales,

the lizard then vanished in a flash of purple light as it returned into Zise's sector, Hong carried Zise and flew away from the military camp instantly.

with his cultivation he covered an incredibly fast distance in a very short time. he arrived at the association building quickly and sent someone to collect him healing herbs.

he personally carried Zise to his room and that act alone indicated the severity of the situation they were facing, it had been a while since anyone had seen master Hong donning his armor and unleashing his mana ring.

however he had unleashed it this time and it was clear the main reason was to rush back to the association as fast as possible. a short while later several people arrived in Zise's room however none of then was low level.

these were all high level blacksmiths with cultivation of level 7 and above, they all understood the importance of Zise to their association and why Hong was that worked up.

they didn't need to ask to underatand that things were badly off, Hong was pushing his energy into Zise's body trying to hold him together.

the moment the drugs were brought they were placed in a bath tub and instantly Zise was stripped naked, they placed him in the tub and used their mana to prepare the herbs so they can easily be absprbed.

they even guided the herbs into Zise's body to speed up his healing, five minutes later the effect happened. Zise's body started repairing itself, his pores opened up and madly absorbed the medicinal liquid.

the blacksmiths were even shocked by the action, however Hong simply smiled and laughed freely, he told them that everything is fine now.

their main goal was to kickstart his healing, his body will handle the rest on its own. he orders to have someone watching his room every second of the day until he wakes up.

he then asks one of the elders to head to the school the next morning and inform them that Zise sustained a training accident and he wouldn't attend the academy for the last week of the year.

however he will spend the weak healing and preparing himself for the graduation competitions at the end of the week.

in his sector Zise was waiting at the top of his hill, he couldn't recall how long he had been there however he could tell that his body was in a bad condition,

the dragon had gone out because it sensed danger approaching, during the fusion it had sacrificed a level to facilitate their power needs, it did this so Zise could retain his cultivation level.

at the end it was injured however it still prioritized saving him, a short while later it returned even more injured than it previously was.

luckily it didn't return alone, first thing he did was attempt to run his blood essence, if he could do that he could trigger his healing, when his body was healed he could then help the dragon.

however when he attempted running his blood essence he found that the meridians were severely injured, they were healing but at a slow pace.

at the pace he was going it would take months before he could wake up, the academy graduation was in a week and if he didn't make it in time it would cripple his chances at getting into Xila royal academy.

however suddenly he felt a refreshing feeling enter his body, it was warm and it was attempting to pull his meridians back in place, he understood this was his master attempting to help him heal.

he also attempted to help him out by trying to realine one meridian at a time, a short while later he felt a massive healing energy enter his body,

he understood that these were healing herbs, so he used his blood essence to suck it up and once it merged with his body, his healing was triggered instantly, he focused and rebuilt his meridians first.

then he reconnected his broken bones as they started healing on their own, his muscles had already started healing on their own,

however at this point his body was already strong enough, he absorbed the yellow crystal in his sector, this was the crystal he had recieved from the hydra.

he absorbed it instantly however as he started he discovered a problem the crystal possessed a strong will from the fallen hydra, it struck his spirit and attempted to overtake his mind and possess him.

at that time the dragon woke up and a terrifying wave of power obliterated the hydra spirit, Zise then absorbed the origin crystal successfully, it surfed within his body granting him the energy he needed to complement the healing herbs in his veins,

together they kicked his healing into overdrive and he also started absorbing heaven and earth energy from the environment around him.

at that point he turned to the dragon and started feeding energy into its body to heal its injuries, however her he discovered that the dragon was already healed on the inside.

with a little infusion of power the dragon woke up fully and it stopped him from infusing his power into it, instead it returned to 40meters and started swallowing the beast bodies, it started with the hydra body and it took a few days absorbing that alone, then it focused on the other bodies,

the strongest was a level five but the rest were much weaker, it first absorbed their bodies leaving their Crystal's for last, the bodies were easier orbit to digest. there were about 30 bodies in total and by the time it was done with them his fourth gold stripe had already returned.

it had successfully restored its cultivation, Zise's sector had expanded to level 36 meaning he was already at rank 36.

he had built his last meridian reaching twenty meridiani total, although his body had healed, his mana and blood essence were still lacking, it would take a long time to restore them fully.

it was time for him to wake up, he dissipated his spirit avatar and returned to his body he awakened in his cultivation space
