Baby Jake- Dieter's Perspective

She dashed off into her apartment, still in Harper's pyjamas. I wondered what she's bought.

'What do you think she's got?' Harper asked as she closed the door.

'Dunno, she hasn't told me about a package.' Callum slumped on the couch, still sore about the bacon.

'Neither.' I sat next to him. We put on a film and forgot about the mystery package. After the film, Harper put on a TV show and Callum started teaching us self defence. We heard the light noise of a drum, we thought it was the TV. Then after a while, Harper paused her show.

'What are those drums?' Harper turned to look at us. Then Callum gasped and ran out without a shirt on. Then I realised that Callum told Bailey that Arabelle could play the drums. We looked at each other and ran after Callum.

'What?' River said as he followed along with Harper. When we got to her apartment. She was sat behind a gorgeous white drum set in the corner of her apartment. Her face was lit up and smiling. Callum looked like he was about to cry tears of joy. She was very good. The drums sound amazing. When she saw us she looked up.

'Heheh...surprise.' She shrugged awkwardly. Callum ran up to her and hugged her.

'I haven't heard that in...forever.' He smiled.

'You play the drums!?' Harper said as she walked up to the set.

'Yeah, didn't Callum...oh yeah! You guys weren't exactly...listening.' She rubbed her neck. They both blushed.

'Ah! I've gotta head back. The rabbits will be hungry.' He said while pulling on a random top lying around her apartment.

'Yeah, I need to go too.' Bailey followed him.

'I'll go with.' River went after them.

'I need to tidy up.' Harper yawned, 'keep the pyjamas.' then closed the door behind her.

Why was her drum skills such a turn on? I went up to her and pulled her close, her body was hot an sweaty from the drumming.

'The drums, huh?' I turned her head towards me. She smiled a gorgeous smile.

'Yeah.' She giggled.

'Show me.' I sat on the floor in front the drums. She shrugged and picked up the drum sticks. When she started drumming it was like she left the room and was so invested in to it. When she finished she was panting and boy did she look good. I grabbed her by the waist.

'Aren't we touchy today.' She giggled.

'Can you blame me when there's a talented goddess of a woman in front of me.' I tell her. She snuggles up closer.

'Ditto.' She laughs. I kiss her lightly but she grips my hair and pulls me in more. I happily oblige and tickled her back. I pulled away and looked down at her.

'Let's go.' I got some clothes and put them on.

'Go where?' She giggled.

'To the mall. I have never got the chance to do anything too boyfriendy with anyone before. I want to spend my money on you.' I said as I pulled on some shoes.

'What no! I want never gets.' She crossed her arms in objection.

'I need to.' I held her head in my hands.

'Jeez, at least let me shower first.' She grabbed a towel from the bed and scampers into the bathroom. I grab my wallet in my pocket to check I've got everything and wait for her. She comes out of the bathroom in a small red dress that has frills on the bottom. She's also got on some sleek heeled boots and she's putting on her sunglasses.

'My god you look delicious.' I say as I open the door for her. She giggled and walked out. She intertwined her fingers with mine. I love it when she holds my hand like that. We get a taxi to the mall.

'Where do you want to go?' I asked when we were outside.

'I would love a drink.' She smiled.

'A drink it is!' I say as I pull her in the mall. We get to the little shop.

'What would you like today.' The cashier asked.

'Mango ice smoothie.' Her face is lit up and it's absolutely adorable.

'Iced coffee please.' I chuckled. She writes down the orders and shows us to the waiting part. When the drinks come she quickly unwrapped the straw and stabs in in her cup rather aggressively.

'Exited?' I took a sip of my drink before smiling at her. She laughs the most adorable livley laugh I've heard before taking a huge gulp of her drink.

'Come on.' I said as I grabbed her hand and pulled her out the shop. Drink in hand we wondered around the mall.

'Where do you want to go?' I asked her, looking at the different shops.

'Ahh...I don't know, baby.' She squeezed my hand. I ended up taking her in pretty much every shop there. She was smiling and happy, that's all I want.

'What. the. actual. freak.' She said when we were just leaving.

'What? Are you ok?' I looked where she was looking. Underneath a bench was a baby. It was crying and no one was with it. She put the bags on the bench and bent down to pick him up. She had the baby on her hip and with one hand supporting it's back while wiping the tears away with her other. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. She looked so...natural with him. I shook my head.

'What shall we do?' I asked.

'Her parents couldn't have gone far.' She said, not looking away from the baby.

'I don't know. There's a train station on the back of this mall.' I sat on the bench next to her.

'Oh no.' Arabelle was cuddling the baby and was looking around the mall. I noticed a toy underneath the bench. I bent down to pick it up, there was a blanket a pacifier and a bear. The blanket had a name embroidered on the front.

'Diego.' I read. While inspecting the blanket. She turned and looked at ne with her eyebrow raised. I showed her the blanket.

'Diego?' She repeated before turning to the baby.

'Do you know your name, sweetheart?' She was stroking his arm with her thumb. The baby held his hand out to the toys. I passed them to him. He gave the pacifier to Arabelle and kept the bear and the blanket close to his chest. Then he rested his head on her chest and fell asleep.

'I'm gonna presume your Diego.' She smiled at him.

'I think we should go to security.' I offered while picking up all her shopping bags.

'Yeah, let go.' She started walking. I never thought about me having children, if I do Arabelle would have to be the mother of my them, I don't want anyone else. I got curious.

'Do you ever want kids.' I asked her while walking. She looked at me a little surprised then looked at Diego.

'One day.' She sighed, 'What about you?'

'I mean, eventually I guess.' I shuffled awkwardly, this conversation felt weird. We got to the security room and I knocked on the door. The security guard looked a bit shocked at first then he cleared his throat.

'Yes?' He asked while walking out of the door. Arabelle explained what happened. The security guard welcomed us into the room then ran through the security camaras.

'Here we are.' He slowed down the video. It showed a woman, sat on the bench where we found Diego and put him at her feet. She took a call and went off and never came back.

'So this could mean two things. The woman got a call and it was so important she forgot about the baby or well...' The security guard stopped and rubbed his eyes. We looked at each other.

'So what shall we do?' She asked.

'We have a room where we deal with this kinda thing. We could put him there and see if anyone picks him up.' He got his walkie-talkie and stood up.

'...and if no one does?' Arabelle was upset, she tried to hide it but her voice was shaking.

'If you guys give me your number I'll update you on it, but if not I guess...adoption.' The man looked at the baby. We handed Diego along with our numbers and headed out if the mall. I hugged her when we were outside. I could fell her shoulders shaking.

'What do we do if no one picks him up.' She said looking up to me. I knew what I was about to do would either go very badly or very well. All I knew is that I loved her so much.

'What would you want to do?' I sat her on the bench.

'I mean we could...but we don't live together.' She said burying her face in her hand. I sighed.

'My dad has many houses all over the place, there's probably loads he's not using.' I looked away, not wanting to see her reaction.

'Did you just ask me to move in with you?'
