116 The Battleship
Yellow Jaeger ran towards the Kaiju. His feet broke the water, creating splashes, and each step was accompanied by the heavy sound of metal rubbing.
Jaeger's broad chest armor opened to reveal many missile shafts. The next moment, many rockets shot out of his chest and flew towards the Kaiju. Each missile created a trail of smoke in its path. But before the missiles hit the Kaiju, something strange happened.
CTTAAACK
A very, very loud and strange sound came out of the Kaiju. This sound was so strong that it created a shock wave around him, and this shock wave hit the rockets.
BOOM BOOM
All the missiles exploded before they hit the Kaiju. This wave was strong enough to push the water away from the Insectokaiju, creating a tsunami that returned to the Jaeger along with blue fire and smoke from the explosions.
A wave of water and fire hit the yellow Jaeger and he took a step back to avoid falling.
"This is something new. He used the shock wave as a shield?" said one of the Jaeger pilots. Humans had already dealt with Kaiju's sonic attacks, so all Jaegers were equipped with soundproof cockpits. Otherwise, these pilots would have lost their hearing from such a loud sound.
Jaeger steadied himself and rushed forward again. He removed two grenades from his belt and, activating them, threw them forward with all his might.
The Kaiju stopped, watching as the grenades flew at him. He watched as these grenades flew past him and fell far into the ocean. Showing no emotion, he just watched as the grenades exploded, creating another shockwave.
BOOOM
While he was watching the explosion, the Jaeger next to him struck the water with his knife with all his might, causing a great splash of water. It looks like the pilots of this Jaeger are having trouble as they can't aim at the giant Kaiju in front of them.
"AAAAHHH! My head!" yelled the pilots of the yellow Jaeger. They knew it would be like this, but they hoped they could hit at least once. Unfortunately, none of their attacks were successful.
BAH CRREEEECK
Standing next to the Jaeger, Insectokaiju tore the Jaeger in half with one swift strike. The next moment, the Jaeger's stomach and legs and chest and head fell into the water separately from each other. The Kaiju's hands were not only sharp at the end, they were like blades. He had no fingers to grab anything, but instead he had two very long and sharp knives capable of cutting anything in his path.
Watching as the first Jaeger was destroyed with little to no fight, the Marshal began to feel uneasy. He leaned over the table and pressed the button to communicate with Obsidian Fury, "You have to find people who influence to yours mind. They must be high enough to see what is happening on the other side of the wall!"
"Yes sir!" The twin sisters answered. The time the yellow Jaeger bought them allowed them to take their medicine and retake their pilot seats. After receiving an order from the Marshal, they began to look for any suspicious people. Their sensors were equipped with infrared vision, and they could tell if someone was hiding in the forest.
Obsidian Fury started running on the mountains around the city. The Jaeger jumped from mountain to mountain. Sometimes the ground could not support its weight, and crumbled, forcing it to kneel.
"I see someone!" On one of the mountains there was a road, and many cars were parked there. Jaeger immediately ran there. The city had to be evacuated, and it was dangerous to stay here. Alas, there are always some crazy people, and what the sisters saw made them angry.
There were many cars parked on the mountain and people were standing near them and having a party. There were so many people that it was impossible to determine which of them was the enemy.
"Get out of here!" Jaeger shouted to these people. Saying this, the sisters slammed their fists on the ground in front of them.
People got scared and started getting into cars and running away. People were in such a hurry that they didn't even understand who was getting into which car. After a couple of minutes, there was no one else here.
"There are none here." Marshall said. He ordered all of his analysts sitting in the command center to remotely access the Jaeger system and use its sensors to locate the enemy. Every person at this party was checked and none of them looked suspicious.
"Damn it!" The sisters were not satisfied. They continued to run around the city and look for the enemy.
"Engage the battleship!" Marshall said to Mr. Choi who was sitting next to him. As the Obsidian Fury ran around the city, the Kaiju continued to approach the wall. He couldn't send Jaeger to fight and he needed to buy time. The marshal decided to use a new invention that had just arrived from the military boat factory.
"Yes sir." Mr. Choi immediately passed on the order.
Far in the sky you could hear the hum of an airplane. Very high, above the clouds, the buzzing grew louder every second and you could see a black shadow in the white clouds. The next moment, a huge battleship broke through the white clouds.
This was a new development unrelated to the Jaeger or Marshall project. The military was engaged in the creation of this battleship. Around the battleship there were a lot of jet engines running on blue fuel. These engines were mobile and capable of pushing the ship both up and forward.
Due to the huge size of the ship, engineers built a fuel tank large enough for the battleship to fly for several days. And his speed allowed him to fly around the planet during this time without refueling. Although the fuel problem could be solved by delivering fuel by airplanes.
Warships used to be useless against the Kaiju. They could not escape and were vulnerable to attacks from below. It was necessary for the monster to hit the ship, as it immediately sank. This made the ships extremely useless. But there were millions of soldiers and sailors all over the world, thousands of ships, and all this was a useless resource. What was supposed to protect peaceful people and all those who were ready to fight for humanity, became unnecessary.
Seeing the potential of blue fuel, the military secretly created the Flying Citadel project. Many experiments were conducted, and scientists were amazed by the power of the new fuel. With this fuel, Torterra could be pushed to 3 mach speed and allowed to fly for days. This fuel was able to turn useless garbage into a powerful weapon that was difficult to destroy.
The battleship quickly descended below the clouds and stopped. Its many engines hummed, burning blue fuel. He turned sideways toward the city and bowed. It was an ordinary battleship because it was expensive to build a new one. Its guns were always directed upwards and the battleship simply physically could not shoot at targets below it. Therefore, the ship tilted so that its guns were aimed at the ground.

As soon as the battleship took the right position in the sky, it immediately opened fire on the Kaiju. All the guns of the battleship fired without stopping and shells flew down. The entire deck of the ship was covered in white smoke from the shots.

The projectiles flew towards the Kaiju at an extraordinary speed. Unfortunately, the fact that the battleship was hovering in the air prevented its guns from being accurate. The projectiles fell on both the Kaiju and the water around him, creating a zone of destruction around him.

The Kaiju roared in pain. The shells that the battleship fired were also not ordinary. The tips were made from Torterra's carapace juice, and the explosives from blue blood. People were not stupid. They had seen Torterra make his axe, and although it was difficult for them to reach such high temperatures, they were able to reproduce the material. This material had a greater permeability than depleted uranium.
BOOM BAH
The battleship did not stop firing. Hundreds of shots were fired in a minute of shooting. Although the battleship was old, its guns had been upgraded since the first Kaiju attack. The ship not only fired its guns. Missile mines were embedded along the entire length of the keel, and rockets were constantly flying out of them. This "Flying Citadel" was armed to the teeth.

The Kaiju had no choice but to constantly use his shockwave to destroy the projectiles and missiles that came his way. One by one, the shock waves, together with the tsunami, hit the wall that protected the city. The "Wall of Life" cracked and shuddered with each blow, but continued to stand protecting the city.
