31 Chapter 31

Time passed so quick ever since the two met Han Nabi . The group passed a lot of places , deviated pathways several times , stopped to take a rest and eat and wash up until they finally arrived at the vicinity of the Gathering place .

Sherwin paused slithering and looked at the towering mountain up ahead . They could see a flat land at the mid part of the mountain where the Demonic beings gathered . Kryst lifted his head to take a look and narrowed his eyes .

Webby , Kryst's  thread consciousness suddenly spoke up . " These Demons aren't easy master . " She commented .

Kryst himself could also percieve the danger from the Demons up there that even despite the distance , he could still feel their threat . Kryst tightened his hold on Kathryn and followed  Sherwin .

Sherwin then started talking . " Our kind has a different kind of currency that is used for trading . Unlike how blood warriors use elemental shards , We demons value moonlight stones instead . "

"  Earning moonlight stones is not easy . You have to posses good luck to encounter a moonlight tree which has a special trait of absorbing moonlight to grow . Moonlight tree bears moonlight fruits named  moonlight stones . It is the demon version of elemental shards that humans use . "

This is the first time Kryst heard of elemental shards and moonlight stones . As expected , he knows nothing about this world .

Han Nabi nodded in agreement hearing Sherwin . " Our clan specializes at Martial Arts but we use spiritual stones instead to replenish our stamina after an intense training . "

Kryst frowned , what is spiritual stone?

Yggdrasil has been listening to them and heard Kryst's question . Yggdrasil then started explaining . " In the east , they use their vital or life-force energy also known as Qi , Ki or Chi to cultivate their body to immortality . Qi is present in all living beings in the universe , and as they manipulate spiritual force (qi), they believe that they can get longevity by cultivating qi to a perfect level . It is true that Qi or spiritual cultivation can lengthen life span but i have not heard anyone from the east that cultivates qi to ascend to immortality and attain longevity . "

"  Mana on the other hand is a sentient energy that is present in every living and non living things and can only be controlled through incantations , spell books , mystic items and , mediums such as wands and staffs . However , one can skip that if the person has good a good talent at visualization , manipulation and affinity . "

"  in short words ... "

Yggdrasil did not get to finish his words when Kryst completed it for him . "Qi is yours truly , but mana has its own different source , unless one advances to a divine level only then could you get the authority to control nature and element . "

Yggdrasil nodded in agreement . However , there's  one more thing that he didn't say to Kryst .

And that was how Mana was once despised by gods . Mana and Divine energy are two different things . Gods felt that mana contradicts Divine  energy and felt threathened . After all , mana is the power of devils . War happened because of that problem .

Everyone thought that the blood of the humans came from the breeding of the humans and gods . Well , it is indeed correct , but it's only half right . Especially the blood abilities of shapeshifters . Gods dislike mana , and mana came from the devils .

The thing is , why are shapeshifters able to control mana?

And ... Who are the devils?

Yggdrasil only recovered a small shard of his memory so Yggdrasil couldn't answer that question yet ..

Kryst turned to look at Nabi and said . " Do spiritual stones come from trees too? "

Hearing his words , Han Nabi couldn't help laughing out loud and pat the teenager's head . "No , spiritual stones exist at places that has an abnormal amount of spiritual or life force energy . "

" Our Clan usually seek places such as tombs of the spiritual cultivators to see if a spiritual vein was created after it's death . There's a of places where Spiritual stones could be found , and the easiest method is to hunt spiritual beasts ."

They finally arrived at the gathering but Han Nabi and Kryst is still talking with each other . Kryst also learned that animals also cultivate different kinds of cultivation method . Spiritual beast can also cultivate through spiritual cultivation . As every living beings possess spiritual energy , those who are placed at the top of the food chain possessed abundant amount of life force . Spiritual Beasts would form a spiritual core within their brain and it is the same as the spiritual stones that can be found on spiritual veins. 

Han Nabi's clan is also said to have the symbol of a Spiritual Lion because it is the strongest spiritual beast they have known so far . Lions has no natural predators , that's why Lions often becomes spiritual at a certain time of its growth ,

Some Demons nearby them couldn't help perking their ears up to listen .

Lions?

One Demonic Lion blushed , hearing how Lions posses no natural predators . The certain Lion couldn't help sticking out his chest proudfully .

Then once Eagles are also uttered as apex predators . Felip who had just arrived yesterday and the younger Lion stared at each other with narrow and predatory gazes .

Sherwin at the side the asked curiously . " who's stronger between the two apex predators . Lions or Eagles ? "

Han Nabi laughed and said . "  They are both apex predators so of course we couldn't determine which is stronger . As a member of a clan who has the image of Lions as our crests , i would naturally vote for Lions , but not all Lions are strong , young lions couldn't defeat adult Eagles and so are young Eagles . Young ones couldn't defeat old Lions . "

Felip and the Lion immediately jolted and growled at each other .

Han Nabi then suddenly said . " oh aside from those two , there is actually a type of animal that is stronger than them base on brute force . "

Sherwin , Felip , the lion , and Kryst's brows arc up simultaneously . The demons listening nearby also payed attention to HAn Nabi's words .

" Have you seen mammoths? Elephants . "

The Demons listening to them suddenly froze . an image of a giant ancient beast flashed across their minds and immediately shuddered .

" Have you also seen Dinosaurs? I heard that the Northern Continent has a lot of Giant Dinosaurs . "

" Even in our East continent , Dinosaurs still exist , although they can only be found at barbarian lands . "

One old Demonic Owl suddenly stepped forward and talked to Han Nabi . " Girl , since you said that you come from the east continent . How the hell did you even arrive here ? " asked the old White Demonic Owl .

The demon has a long white  hair and his whole body was draped with clusters of feather . He was tall and he exudes an aura of an old sage . He seems to be a respectable figure in the Demon Realm .

Han Nabi holding a sleeping Kathryn looked up  to see  the old man . She then answered . " I was brought here through a spiritual artifact . Our clan are sword cultivators and we usually use our sword to travel long distance journey . But on the way here , i was cursed by our god and was captured by cannibals in my weakest state . I joined this Demonic Snake here , Sherwin after we get to know each other . "

Their identity as elves is still sensitive and Nabi does not dare disclose Kryst's identity .

Kryst as usual is still wearing flower headed lion onesie. since his has a hood covering his head , the demons couldn't see his face and thought that he i a type of unknown species since they couldn't recognize his scent .

The Lion named Juniper curiously looked at Kryst and touched his onesie lightly . He thought it was a lion fur but its seems not base on the texture of the clothing .

Juniper couldn't help wondering wether this little guy is fond of Lion for him to wear Lion clothing imitations .

Mr. Wise turned to look at Sherwin and immediately recognized him. " Oh hello there , Little Sherwin . How have you been? "

Sherwin slightly bowed his head respectfully and smiled . " The same as always , Grandpa wise . "

"  Are you here to trade some new things? "

Sherwin shook his head . " My little friend here , Kryst is interested in the study of herbal medicine so he wanted to trade some of his vegetables here with  herbs . "

Hearing his name being called out , Kryst lifted his head to look up . Mr. wise then swept his eyes on Kryst's  body and saw an outstanding face that was not covered by the hoodie . Wise then landed his sight on the sleeping blue haired baby then back to Kryst .

What kind of race are these guys to possess such heavenly looks , they were like the masterpiece of god .

If the god Yggdrasil heard the old man's inner thoughts he will surely proudly lift his chin up and say '  they are indeed my masterpiece . '

Kian stood up and stared back at the old man . " are you a priest? " a youthful voice with a serious stone mixed in it resounded .

Felip who has a strange fetish of liking good voices immediately narrowed his eyes at the young boy . wise laughed and covered his mouth ( supposedly beak ) with his palm . " How did you know , young man? Did Little Sherwin mention me to you before? "

Kryst shook his head and pointed his little  paws towards Mr. wise . " You just smell like the herbal plants ."

Wise nodded indulgedly like a typical old man who is fond of his grandsons . "are you interested on studying medicine? it seems that you have learned some? "

"  yeah , i self learned but i still need guidance from a master , if you wouldn't mind , is it fine for me to stay with you for a bit of time and learn? "

Hearing him , Wise's smiling eyes immediately widened in shock and excitement . " hohoho!!! Oh little boy ,this old man had always ben hoping for a suitable disciple to pass on my knowledges to and it seems that Goddess Phoebe had finally heard my wish . "

" Come on come on , come with me and immediately acknowledge me as your master.  " Wise laughed heartily as he beckoned to the boy to follow him to his house. 

Han Nabi looked at Kryst and to Sherwin . Sherwin waved his hand telling him that she doesn't need to worry about the little Elf's safety .

A green haired man suddenly opened his eyes from his meditation . The witch then release a lot of accumulated breathe and wiped his cold sweat.

The witch looked at the sky with a pair of astonished eyes.

" Yggdrasil . "

Once this name was mentioned the trees nearby looked astonishly at their witch.

" What did you say? "

" That .... That man? "

" Wasn't he already dead? "

Trissil massaged his numb temples and shook his head. " I don't know , but I could feel his descendants . "

The trees stopped rustling their leaves and stared silently at the transparent green haired man below a gigantic tree.

Trissil then looked at his fellow Treeman . " I could feel Yggdrasil's breathe in a certain part of this world . Although I couldn't pinpoint which continent it is . "

Trissil is a Tree Fairy belonging to the group of treeman fairy clan, Longevity Treeman Fairy Clan . They possessed a very long life span comparable to that of gods . They are sacred and ancient beings that any mortals couldn't imagine to meet .

Trissil is the Witch of the Longevity Clan and he possess a small amount of divinity that Gaia bestowed to him . He could percieve a certain range of sight from every places that has trees.

Earlier , he suddenly felt a being that has the breathe of Yggdrasil's derivative power.

A power that everyone envies .

They don't know what is his divinity but they know that it is strange and powerful.

But one day , Yggdrasil suddenly disappeared after that certain war . They always hated Yggdrasil for not helping them fend off enemies and their Longevity Clan almost went extinct if not because of the help of God of War , Ares' help .

Trissil didn't know that the breathe he percieve earlier was the blessing Yggdrasil bestowed to Han Nabi before , but the Longevity Clan wasn't familiar with Yggdrasil's power so they thought that Yggdrasil left his descendants in this world .

" It seems that Yggdrasil is already dead , but he fortunately left his seedlings in this world. " Trissil said.

The Clan Chief then suddenly appeared and said . " Do you plan on getting Yggdrasil's descendants back to the clan? "

Trissil looked at Hanssil and nodded . " Since they have the blood of our Longevity Clan , they must be brought back here and groomed . "

Hanssil , a curly green haired handsome man leaned on his Tree body and responded . " Well , I myself doesn't want my grandsons and granddaughters to wander around the barbarian lands of those disgusting humans stained with the devil's power. "

Trissil sighed , the Sun Apollo despises Mana because Divine energy is superior to it , but ever since Hades fell out with Gaia and Apollo , he immediately attacked the mortals and spread mana throughout the whole world that Gaia cherished.

Because of that Gaia was so mad that she immediately ordered all the humans that have been infected with mana . Unfortunately , it was already too late .

Those humans who possessed the blood of the gods strangely awakened powerful abilities and started gaining Abilities only inferior to the god's divinity.

Fortunately , the Longevity Clan was not affected by the mana as they have their own separate dimensions.

Yggdrasil however was so stubborn and disobedient , saying that all the life in the world is perishing because of the stupid god's hatred towards devils .

What are the humans' fault? There's none! They were just victims that have been caught betwixt the fight of the gods and devil's .

Yggdrasil , as a rare kind hearted man , cherishes life. He wants to save them and bring back the life of every wronged souls .

Unfortunately , Yggdrasil was not a god and couldn't revive them .

Trissil doesn't know what happened but something definitely changed after Yggdrasil came back after the war ended .

He approached Yggdrasil at the time but was immediately repulsed by the dense and murky filthy energy that devils scattered in the universe . Yggdrasil didn't say anything and just fetched his things and disappeared .

Ever since that day , the whole Longevity Clan hated Yggdrasil for helping those disgusting humans instead of them . He left and aided the God of War silently .

Knowing that Yggdrasil participated in the war , Trissil visited Ares to ask wether he met their junior Treeman .

Only to hear . " Yggdrasil? Who's that? I don't know him . "

There's no way no one knows who Yggdrasil was .

And that was how Trissil came into a conclusion that Yggdrasil might have disguised himself as a human when he fought in the war .
