Chapter 24

The teenager was doned in his white cat onesie . Two rectangular ears could be seen above her head and a tail swaying behind his rear . A pair of emerald eyes stared down at the trembling demonic snake coated with his thread .

Kryst had never saw such creature before . In the institute , he usually saw test subjects that looked like monkeys , babies that has pig like nose , a boy with long fur , and an old man with strange devil like horn on the head .

Kryst poled the snake lower body of the man amd couldn't help rubbing the cold surface. " What kind o creature are you? "

The snakeman trembledly answered . " A- a snake demon . "

Demon race?

" You mean , the Demon Race that worshiped the Moon Goddess? "

Sherwin nodded vigorously . " Yes! "

Kryst extended his hand and touched Sherwin's face . His hand rubbed his cold skin and massaged it . A few seconds later , the teenager suddenly asked out loud . " Are you a man? "

Sherwin froze and looked at the teenager with mouth gaped open . " Do i look like a woman? "

Kryst gave him an odd look and nodded . The snake demon has a long yellow hair with cold red eyes that has a lizard like slit irises . His skin however was very pale and cold while his face looked rather androgynous ( feminine ). Kryst mistook him for a woman .

This snake demon attacked him earlier when he passed by his territory . When the snake man was about to entangle his body with his tail , Kryst defeated him by releasing hundreds of threads and coiled it around his body . Unfortunately , the demonic snake's tail was too strong and wriggly so he couldn't help sucking his blood to drain his energy. As his thread sucked the blood of the demon , he could perceive the delight of his spiritual thread and couldn't help feeling a little head ache , wondering what Yggdrasil did to him to have caused his thread to gain spirituality.

If one would just think about it , it was not incomprehensible that it gained spirituality . After all , his body had already changed and might have caused his mutated spider gene to mutate again and had undergone evolution to adapt to his new body .

There is also a possibility that it might have been because of his second ability that enabled him to read the hidden spirituality of his thread , and that was only possible if that was really the case .

Kryst looked at his trembling bloody hands and couldn't help biting his lower lip to restrain his voice from groaning in pain . His fingertips were now pulsating from the excessive release of thread earlier. After the tingling feeling disappeared , an itchy sensation overtook causing him to have an impulse to wave his hand and scratch some things to rub off the itchy sensations .

Kryst stared at his fingertips with wide eyes and gritted teeth . He immediately ran away amd left the restrained demon .

" Wait!!! " Shouted the demon .

The teenager however ignored him and ran towards the top of the mountain . Midway to the top , his fingertips started heating up . He hissed in pain and grabbed his wrist to flick his fingertips to the air trying to cool down the heat through the air .

" What's happening?!!! " Kryst stoic face now had a hint of distress and frustration.

Yggdrasil noticed the teenager's situation and immediately started perceiving his body . When Ssil perceived his body , Yggdrasil couldn't help gasping in shock .

" A foreign energy is circulating inside your body right now . Kryst what happened? How did you acquire such violent energy? "

Although Yggdrasil doesn't have eyes , but from what he can see( perceive) on Kryst's body . This yellowish energy was trying to assimilate with blood forcefully as if it were attracted by his blood and wanted to integrate with it forcefully .

Since Kryst was running rapidly towards the summit , his heart was beating fast causing his blood to circulate around his body rapidly . That energy also took this opportunity to find a suitable spot for it to settle . It was about to exit the heart when it was suddenly entangled by another type of energy.

Yggdrasil immediately recognized it as Kryst's said spiritual thread . The same time that fight happened , Kryst suddenly paused and collapsed.

" Kryst!!! "

Several vines suddenly grew from the earth and tapped the immobile body. The vines immediately felt the cold body of the teenager . Yggdrasil's nonexistent heart almost leaped out of his nonexistent throat and immediately pulled Kryst to the space.

Kryst's body was so cold as if he was kept in a refrigerator . The snow white Dog , Pitzy immediately barked and moved its muzzle trying to shake Kryst's body .

Pitzy immediately howled in distress when it felt the chillingly cold sensation on his skin. The sleeping baby on the hammock suddenly heard Pitzy's howl and suddenly started crying .

Ollie immediately flew at the egde of the hammock and flapped its wings to swing the hammock back and fort . Only after doing this did the baby went back to sleep .

Yggdrasil moved some vines and poked Kryst's unmoving body and couldn't help choking from sadness .

Before they even start to cry in sadness , they suddenly perceived a change in temperature . The chillingly cold body suddenly started getting hot as the temperature rose up without any notice .

Yggdrasil immediately calmed his nonexistent heart down and tried perceiving Kryst's chaotic body and peered at his heart . The loud rythmic beating of his heart rang out loud in his nonexistent ear followed by the sound of clashing forces trying to dominate each other .

Cold and Hot , Kryst's body heated up then cooled down and started heating up again alternatingly . Yggdrasil started worrying at his body .

Yggdrasil calmed himself down again and started lending some help to Kryst , although he doesn't know how .

Countless thoughts flashed across his mind in a second , coming up with some suitable solution to their current problem . From what he had observed , this energy was trying to invade and dominate Kryst's body , and the one who brought that thing inside Kryst's body was the first ability that Kryst said to have spirituality. If that's the case , why did it harm its owner?

Yggdrasil rack up his brain to answer the question .

Was it really trying to harm him?

Or ... Is there some hidden motive about it .

Base on his observation , this energy was probably the heart blood of the demonic snake earlier and because it was attracted to Kryst's unique body , it wanted to integrate itself into him but the thread ability doesn't want his place to be threathened by a newbie so it wanted to dominate it .. or rather , swallow it.

Swallow ..

Yes!!!

Yggdrasil's branches turned brighter for a moment and immediately lunged the tip of his vine to help the thread ability devour the foreign object .

Another strange energy followed the blood stream inside Kryst's body and went to the heart in a blink of an eye . When Yggdrasil's perception arrived at his heart , he immediately saw what's happening more clearly .

But i what he saw inside surprised him .

There's no way!!!

Inside the space , time seems to have stopped after Yggdrasil retracted his vine that was injected in the teenager's biceps .

The teenager's body temperature has now turned to normal . One could however perceive that something has changed . Pitzy pitifully whinned and moved its muzzle within the crook of his neck and layed down with a downcast expression . It tapped its paws on his chest and layed down beside him . Pitzy whinned again . ' wake up '

Kryst's body suddenly twitched as his curly eyelashes suddenly started fluttering like a butterfly's wings . Those eyelashes then slowly opened revealing a pair of shining emerald gem like eyes .

The teenager subconsciously touched at his chest and felt that it was no longer aching. He felt mentally exhausted yet his body was full of energy . It feels so weird.

" How many hours had passed since i collapsed? "

Ollie flapped its wings and hooted to answer. " Three days . "

Kryst . " ... "

" Oh , three hou--- ... What? "

" Three days " repeated the snow white dog on his side .

" That's absurd , i thought i only slept for three hours . "

Kryst stood up and started stretching . Somehow , he suddenly felt that his body felt more flexible than the usual . He kicked his leg upward and did an axe kick .

" ....! "

Kryst kicked again , but this time his body tilted backwards as his toes suddenly pointed 12 o'clock . He was basically splitting on the air but he didn't even feel a tad of pain .

" Why did i suddenly feel more flexible? "

A milky voice belonging to that of a child suddenly rang out within his head . " Because i ate the blood of the demonic snake . "

" ... " Kryst tapped at his head . " Yggdrasil , your voice seems to have change again. "

Yggdrasil . " ... "

" I was not talking , Kryst. "

Then who the hell did just speak within my head just now?
