The One 2

I saw her expression change into one of absolute joy as she jumped, and turned, calling out to all who could hear her.

"She is here! Look at her! She is the King's bride!"

Before long, a lot of vampires gathered around me, each watching me with awe. I stood awkwardly, holding Morgan's hand tight. They seemed xurious about me, even though none of them came too close.

My phone music shuffled to the next, and started to play Hey Dj by Meghan Trainor, CNCO and Sean Paul. It was one of my all time favorites, so I had immediately downloaded it back once I got my new phone.

Morgan turned to me, his hand stretched to me as he let go of the other one. "Care to dance? That beat is cool."

I looked at him, a bit of fear showing in my eyes, but he held my hand and pulled me to him.

The vampires that had gathered around us stepped away, and he gently pushed me back.

"Even if I know it's wrong, I hope the Dj plays our song, so you can find me..and dance behind me...."

The music started and he smiled at me and we started to dance, slowly at first following the intro, before going into some crazy free style dancing with the beat of the song.

"Cause you gon' fall for me.." I sang along, and it made Morgan laugh.

At some point, the vampires started to join in with us, and my eyes caught Nick trying to use his camera. I didn't have time to think of other things, though, as the second beat dropped, and Morgan pulled me to him.

"Only with me." The song continued, and Morgan nodded, then leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"They're damn right."

The song soon ended, but the cheers didnt stop. I stood there amongst vampires, knowing very well, they drank the blood of people like me for a living, laughing, smiling and dancing, and with every glance I took towards Morgan, falling harder in love.

They seemed to abandon their businesses and daily works as they followed us around. I got to their shops, their clothing malls, their seamstresses, they seemed close to humans yet a bit more ancient, and a bit more civilized. I don't know how they did it, but they did.

It was soon evening, and the city started to be draped in darkness. I held Morgan's hand tight..

"Something wrong?" He asked, moving my hair away from my face.

I looked up and whispered. "Lights..I want lights.."

He looked apologetic, then clapped his hands. The vampires that were already around us, each doing his thing yet somehow paying attention to us, came around.

"Samantha wants lights." There was silence.

"Lights?" A young looking vampire woman said. "We do not have lights here."

Morgan nodded. "She is my bride. Will we give her what she wants?" I had a feeling it wasn't quite a question.

From the dim lights, I saw the vampires look at each other, and then another spoke.

"You are our king. And if she is your bride, that makes her our queen too! Lights it is!"
