Life or Death?

Some time ago~~~

Izumi came out of the dome shape building while holding a map in his hand. Looking at the sky flashing with black and red lightening and then Looking at the map in his hand. Izumi wondered 'don't know if this thing will be useful now or not'

This map was the map of this particular city and its surrounding areas but now looking at how the things have turned out he did not think that this will be of any help as this test might be cancelled out soon due to some unexpected events.

'Well whatever i will just keep it with me for now'

A hand fall on the ground some distance away from Izumi as two figures appears on its two sides, precisely Gentoki and Nicholas

'huh...sensei?.....He seems to have upper hand in this battle. Phew..... thank god sensei came in time or i can't even imagine what that demon would have done to me, But..... why has he not killed me on the spot..... instead it seems like he was trying to take me with him. Hmmmmmm... Damm it I need to learn this demonic language soon, or in the future i might not know what my enemies were saying.

I can remember what he said to me but i can't make sense of what he was saying, but i can damm sure he was talking something about me... what was it again mhmmm.... ahaaa right something like

(Okashii na Anata wa kare no yōna nioi ga shimasu)

I will find out what it means.... huh'

In the middle of his thoughts izumi was stunned seeing the scene infront of him as the hand of demon which was cut by Gentoki started to grow back with a speed visible to naked eye, even his wounds started to heals

"WHAT THE HELL, this is some ultra pro level of healing he got there'

looking at the demon and then looking at gentoki, Izumi can easily deduced that Gentoki was totally spend but the demon has fully recovered and was now slowly walking towards Gentoki

"FUCK, it"

Izumi don't know where he got that courage but the next thing he knew he was levitating beside the demon with his sword inside his chest wound. the same wound which was present there when he was in the dome shape building. every single wound on his body has healed except this one,

Izumi doesn't know why but his sword subconsciously stabbed this very same place. and miraculously his sword got through his body and pierced through his back.

Which wasn't supposed to happen as the bodies of S-Rank demons were way tougher for it to be stabbed by a weapon like this.

But before his feet can even touch the ground his neck was again grabbed by that demon as he flung him away.

Sweeping through the air Izumi tried to balance his body but was unsuccessful, as he collided with a wall

cracks appears all around the wall with Izumi being the center point of them. blood was flowing through his head painting his face in red.

his consciousness was blurred, as some notification sound rang in his ears, informing about his critical health but he wasn't able to hear anything.

The way he was thrown into the air might look simple to you but Nicholas has put quiet a bit of strength in it resulting in this state of Izumi

"You should have obediently remain there boy, now look what state you have gotten yourself into.....If it was not for the little interest i have in you, you might be dead now for what you just did" looking towards the Izumi embedded in the wall Nicholas said while grinning wickedly.

Izumi slowly lifted his head with great difficulty try his best not to loose consciousness as a smirk appeared on his face.

Seeing this Nicholas was greatly alarmed, as he looked towards the sword glowing with black light in his chest.

Nicholas hastily tried to get it out but before his hand can even reach the sword a voice did...

"Ice explosion" Izumi murmured

BAAAMMMM

An explosion took place inside Nicholas body. which causes his upper body to explode, chunks of meats scattered all around the Nicholas legs.

BUT

The strangest thing was that even after his upper body explode and scatter all around him, he wasn't dead as the flesh around him started to move towards him, a round red crystal was levitating above his body which was releasing a type of aura attracting all of the meat pieces towards it.

This was the last scene Izumi has seen before he lost consciousness.

On the other hand this strange red crystal continue to gather all the pieaces of flesh towards it slowly forming a body which it once was. soon his hole body was put back in place except his head. but before it can reattached his head

A black flames coated slash of sword came upon this crystal divided it in two with one clean cut.

As soon as the crystal was cut in two, Nicholas body which was motionless till now slowly falls towards the ground.

DEAD....

Gentoki was standing there with his sword in hand. Ignoring the dead body of Nicholas Gentoki started walking towards Izumi.

Some figures appears on the street as one of them salute Gentoki with his hand thumping his chest

"Sir all the surrounding areas were cleared and checked properly. No other demon was found in this region or any other, "

" Are you sure CAPTAIN ?" Picking up Izumi who was unconscious Gentoki asked

"Yes sir, There is no other anomaly detected in this dungeon, I'm absolutely sure "

"Good... There is no need to stop the test just let it continue as it is."

"....Yes sir"

"And take this kid to hospital" Gentoki handed Izumi to him and started looking at the body of Nicholas "Also send some of your men to get this damm thing out of here, and Give it to the development of research and technology"

"Yes sir" Saying that the CAPTAIN started to instruct his subordinate about what to do and what not to do after that he press a button on his watch as light started to cover his whole body izumi included as they started to disappears but before they can fully disappears a black light like thread came floating and coil around Izumi finger and transform's into a black ring.

No one noticed this phenomena as if what has happen doesn't happen at all.

Soon the CAPTAIN and IZumi disappears.........
