8 Chapter 8

In the end, you honestly couldn't decide on what to do. You had to little to go on, especially with how pitifully weak you were in comparison to Cinder herself and really, any average alpha grimm.

So you decided to get some training in. And by training, you meant cleaning up Vale by hunting down grimm and absorbing their strength after killing them.

And you did honestly think you'd be at it for like a week at month. But two things stood in your way. One, was the simple fact that while Vale was nowhere near as overpopulated as Beacon, there were still quite a few Grimm about, and if you were caught killing the others, they'd all group up to hunt you down like a dog.

The other was. The ever bodacious and ever scary Miss Glynda Goodwitch. She was out and about patrolling the town every single damn day! You saw her tear a god damn Alpha Giant Nevermore out of the sky like it was a balloon and smash in over and over into the ground until it was a messy pulp.

She would kill you in the blink of an eye.

So, in the end, you had to play keep away. You had to use ambush tactics, kill weaker Grimm as fast as you could and then run away, hide until the heat died down and then return and repeat.

Progress was slow, but at least it was steady. And you did learn something interesting. You had no physical need to sleep. Your body recovered physical fatigue rapidly. But then, mental fatigue was not included. As expected for a mindless bunch like the Grimm, why would they need an ability to recover mental fatigue rapidly when they had little mental processing power at all.

Still, a month in, and you hit the peak of height for an adult Griffon, and to your surprise, went through the evolution all Grimm were known to do. You easily doubled in size, and your limbs wen from thin and graceful to thick and muscular pillars of power.

The thighs of your limbs and chest, neck and head area were covered in armour, and much more grew long the length of your tail. and when you were done evolving, becoming an Alpha Griffon Grimm, you were around the size of a bus.

And happy with your success, you beat a hasty retreat and left Vale behind, rushing off to one of the larger caves located in the Emerald Forest, to rest and recover from a months worth of mental fatigue.

...You were not expecting what happened next.

Just as soon as you closed your eyes and fell into a deep sleep, it felt like you were instantly opening them again.

You felt the soft touch of nimble human fingers running through the fur atop your head. And under your chin, you felt your head resting atop softing warm and soft. When your eyes opened fully, you saw the vaguely familiar shape of dark clouds highlighted by red light all around you.

It seemed, you were inside your mind again. And since you had saw only one person in your mind before you were booted out of it before, that really left only one person who it could be that was running their fingers through your hair.

"I'm not interested in joining you Salem, buzz off." you growled in annoyance. This was just what you needed when you were trying to get some sleep. Some hot monster bitch popping up to make fun of your lack of a cock now.

"I'm not Salem." a female voice replied. A familiar female voice. It wasn't some purring, seductive voice. But rather clear, and confident. Soft, and polite. And the voice of a woman. That was one thing you'd always noticed about her. Her voice always sounded like a womans to you, rather than a girls.

You shot up to your feet, towering up into the air nearing twenty feet. And there she was below you, sitting comfortably on her knees, clad in her combat attire, shimmering red hair swaying lightly in a ponytail held behind her head and an almost demurely comforting smile atop her lips.

"Pyrrha!?" you yelped in shock. What the hell!? How did Pyrrha end up in your mind.

"Hello Cobalt," Pyrrha continued to smile up at you, not bothering to move from her seating position, "It's good to see you. I had wondered where you disappeared off to in the last few days of the Vytal Tournament when I didn't see you around. I never imagined Cinder would have killed you too."

Cinder killed you too? Then Pyrrha is dead? Killed by that bitch as well?

The red glow throughout the dark clouds brightened and glittered ominously as your anger flared at the thought of that bitch.

"I'm surprised how things turned out, though, not ungrateful," the redhead continued before shaking her head, "I never imagined something like this could happen though. You reincarnating as a Grimm and you absorbing the left over traces of my aura with your semblance by chance and giving me form and life again, if only inside your head."

..Wut?
