Archduke Vermilion greets the duke's with an utmost respect.
"Greetings to Your Grace! How have you been? It's been a long time I saw you."
Duke's turn around and shakes hands with the Archduke.
"Greetings to you too, Your Highness! I am well and yeah it has been a long time."
I was wondering who could it be that old man is talking to too sweetly. Likewise, I came forward to look who could it be? But my view got blocked by a young boy. Who seems to be older than me, But his appearance was breathtaking.
Black hair with the length of touching his shoulders and red ruby eyes which goes well with his beauty mark under his right eye. I was lost for a moment until he called out to me.
" You piece of shit! Don't try to eavesdrop on elders' conversation."
Huh! Did you just call me piece of shit?, Fena says while giving a smile to the young boy while barely holding in her temper.
"Yeah! I did and Don't embarrass the grand duke by doing such things."
The young boy was about to get close to Fena. Archduke calls out to him.
"Lucas! Come here and don't bully the little lady."
The man standing there with the appearance of black hair and blue eyes was the father of the young boy.
As I was about to step back the Archduke approached to me and greeted," Nice to meet you! Little lady, Forgive my son's rudeness. My name is Douma vermilion."
'I was surprised at the way how politely the Archduke was speaking to me. Even though old man told me Archduke is very strict towards other people except his family.'
'Kind of makes me happy, Since it's first time someone talked to me so politely without throwing insult on me.'
Fena was busy with her thoughts without noticing that the Archduke was holding out his hand towards fena to shake hands with her.
"Ah! Sorry I wasn't paying attention! It's a pleasure to meet you! Your Highness. My name is Fena and it's fine. I already moved on."
"If that's the case then I am glad! What a cute name you got there such as yourself."
Duke's drags his son by ear and forces him to introduce himself to Fena politely.
The boy comes closer to fena and leaves an inch distance between them," I am Lucas Vermilion, And it's a pleasure to be acquainted with My Lady, I apologize for the rudeness I showed earlier towards you. I hope we both can move on from that and try to get along."
I stare at Lucas for a while because I couldn't bring myself to believe the fact how easily someone can change his opinion and tries to get along.
'No matter how I look at it. It's way too suspicious. Is he plotting something?'
"His behavior is suspicious, No matter how I look at it? My Lady! You shouldn't let your guard down."
'It seems we both thought the same thing. After all Dion is smart at times like this.'
"It seems, My Lady doesn't want to forgive me or having any intention of getting along with me."
He is cornering me knowing how everyone is watching?
'Oh! So you want to play like this? Then I will do best to act well too. After all I'm a grown up from inside unlike you kid.'
Fena starts making puppy eyes and pulls Lucas by his sleeve.
"That's not true! I was just shy and didn't know how to respond. Since I'm still new to this all. Of course, I want to get along with your highness."
Lucas freaks out of fena's acting and starts to back off leaving fena alone.
The Emperor and his family finally shows up....
Everyone greets the emperor Dietrach Von Vermilion and sends blessings upon him, Nobles start taking out their gifts and present in front of the emperor while congratulating him.
As one by one everyone does. Finally, The duke's take step forward to emperor and congrats him While giving out the gift.
I saw emperor from a distance and couldn't see his appearance well, Until I was called out by the emperor itself.
I walked fast towards the emperor and greeted him while keeping my head low. I dare not to lift my head because of his overpowering aura that surround him.
"Greetings to the Rose Empire Sun diterach Von Vermilion on this very day. I send blessings upon you, I hope for you to live long and healthy Your Majesty!"
The Emperor stares at fena for two minutes then asks her to raise her head. Fena raise her head and directly look in the eyes of emperor.
When I looked at emperor I was surprised at the appearance of emperor Dieterich. He was twin of Archduke Douma only the difference was of beauty mark under the left eye that emperor had, sitting beside him was her majesty lisa with the appearance of blonde hair and red eyes. On the other side the former emperor was sitting with the appearance of golden hair and golden eyes.
Standing on both side of the emperor were his two kids. One was boy who looked same age as around Lucas with blonde hair and blue eyes And the younger girl who looked 9 yrs old with same appearance as her elder brother. It was very clear that the boy was the crown prince.
'I believed that emperor was someone scarier up until now. Now that I am standing this close to him and facing him, For some reason he doesn't seem to be scary, More like air head, I guess.'
The emperor roses up from his seat and comes closer to fena, Suddenly starts rubbing her head while saying," I like the look in your eyes."
Fena finds herself dumbfounded at the reaction of emperor.
The former emperor interrupts the current emperor and takes fena to the other corner of the banquet Hall to avoid nobles eyes.
"Old man! No, I mean Your Highness! What are you doing? By dragging me around."
" You don't need to force yourself to call me your highness! For now just call me whatever you are comfortable with, And I'm playing tag with Edward. So let's hide okay?"
'Is he really thinking that I will believe in him regarding this.'
"Let's go there! We might hide well."
Fena looks around and finally finds the desserts table.
No! "You go by yourself, I will go and have desserts. I'm so hungry, Desserts are looking so tasty. I'm going there with Dion."
"You sure are Selfish kid and doesn't care about my feelings at all. Leaving me behind like this."
Fena looks at the former emperor with pathetic look in her eyes," Are you really the former emperor who ruled over this whole empire for 50 Years. That's such a pathetic acting given your age."
Former emperor stares at Fena and grabs her from mouth, "That's quite a big mouth you have given your age too"
"Are you getting back at me? A kid....."
I left behind the former emperor and searched for Dion. After founding him. We both started attacking on cakes and other sweets.
While we were busy in eating cake. We heard a crying voice coming from below the table. Dion and I lifted the curtain of the table up, We saw a little girl crying. Who shares the same age as us.
The little girl is so cute with the appearance of silver hair and Black eyes, Her name is Sena Belgati.
We talked with her for a while and shared snacks
With her. Soon the three of us started roaming around as a group.
Look My Lady the dancing started. Fena was going to ask Dion as a partner, But she sees how sena tugged on Dion sleeve. Fena remains quite and asks Dion to dance with sena for the time being.
Fena walks around casually and bumps into Archduke. When Archduke sees fena alone. He asks fena to be his son dance partner for today.
"Since you are alone. If you don't mind young lady, I would like you to become my son dance partner. He has no dance partner since he hates girls and treats them coldly that's why other Young ladies doesn't want to pair up with him."
Fena smiles at Archduke and agrees to it. Since fena had no choice but to pair up with Lucas because of the duke's condition.
Archduke Douma Drags his son and orders him to dance with fena and leaves them alone.
"Why do I have to dance with you?"
"That's what I wanted to say to you. Your Highness! But I have no choice. Can you go along with it?"
As both of them sees the Archduke and Duke's are watching them. They stop arguing and joins the dance.
Both of start dancing elegantly, Later they start having difficulties in dance moves because of the height differences.
"Why do you have to be so short? Because of your short height, I can't move at my pace and needs to match up your pace."
"No, It's because you are too tall that's why it's happening, And you are not alone trying to match up my pace, I'm doing the same too."
While dancing, The whole time Fena stepped on Lucas foot again and again and Lucas had no choice but to bear the pain.
As they keep pushing and pulling. The dance overs and Both of them let go of each other, Leaves while glaring at one another.
Fena who was looking back at Lucas while taking steps forward bumps into a man with the appearance of golden eyes and silver hair.
Fena immediately apologizes to him," I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention where I was going and bumped into you."
"It's fine! I was the one who was approaching you without any warning. It's a given we did bump into each other, The man said with a sweet smile on his face while kissing the right hand of Fena."
When the Duke's sees Fena with the man. Duke's approached them and pulls Fena towards him and sends Fena away with an excuse.
