Inside The Phoenix Alchemy House

A competition for concocting the best soul strengthening pill was going on.

As the name suggests, the pill helped one to strengthen his/her soul.

It was very expensive and can't be afforded by small cultivators.

It was even considered a treasure among the low level cultivation clans.

There were eight candidates for the competition.

All were famous Alchemists from the continent.

The judge for the competition was the Head Disciple of the Phoenix House.

She was sitting on a throne with one leg on another and her face was covered with a veil. Without even seeing her face one could say that she was a beauty.

A red colored carpet can be seen connecting from the throne to the hall's main gate, and four alchemists each were standing on either side of the carpet.

Many other alchemists were standing nearby watching the competition.

"Let the competition begin." a majestic voice sounded.

All the eight alchemists started cleansing their herbs and other ingredients. They were all given a cauldron each for concocting the pill and the time limit was three hours.

After three hours

All the alchemists were done.

"Lady Lily please check our pills and their purity." said one of the alchemists while bowing his head and joining his hands in respect.

The majestic woman stood up and came near the alchemists.

She started appraising all the pills.

"Sixty percent purity"

"Sixty nine percent pure, Average"

"Seventy two percent …"

She started rating all the pills.

"Hmm, so the best you people could concoct was only 79% pure."

"Let me show you the real soul strengthening pill."

Lily stood in front of one of the cauldrons and started concocting a pill.

All the alchemists were seeing the process without even blinking.

After two hours

A golden colored pill came out of the cauldron.

"N-n-ninety percent pure" said one of the alchemists.

"Wow"

"As expected from the disciple of the best alchemist in the world."

All the alchemists started saying sweet words so that they could win lady's Favour.

"An Average Pill."

Suddenly a sound came from a corner.

All the chattering and clapping stopped.

"Who the hell dares to say that the pill concocted by Lady Lily is Average?" said one of the alchemists in anger.

Everyone turned towards the source of the voice and saw a beautiful man wearing red robes.

His hair were milky white in color and very long, he looked very handsome.

"I dared to say."

"You... Who do you think you are dare to-" another man was saying but suddenly a voice interrupted him.

"Is this gentleman here trying to say that he can concoct a pill which is purer than the mine?" question Ms. Lily in a calm voice.

"Yes, I can." the man said proud fully.

"Can you please come here and show it to us?"

"What will I get in return?"

"The audacity-" a man shouted in anger.

"I will give you anything you want." said the woman while smiling.

She knew that there was no way the man could make a pill stronger than her.

She was confident that she would not lose him.

"Great."

Everyone looked at the man with flaming eyes.

"But keep in mind if you fail then you have to surrender your life here for slandering my pill." added the lady with an innocent smile.

Everyone's fierce gaze turned into a sinister one after hearing Lady Lily.

The man's face showed a small smile.

Seeing the smile, Lily frowned a little.

(Yeah, for the people who still not understood the man was none other than our villain Edward Greyson. He was using his disguise ability.)

"Then let's start it." said the woman.

Edward picked up all the ingredients and cleansed them in an instant.

He was using his Advanced Alchemy Skills which he received from the system.

All the people were dumbfounded.

Then, he started putting all the ingredients inside the cauldron.

After twenty minutes, he opened the cauldron.

"Heh, there's no way someone can concoct a soul strengthening pill in twenty minutes." one of the alchemists said.

"Yeah! He is finished." another one added.

All of them were laughing.

Edward looked at all of them and gave an innocent smile.

Then he took out the pill from cauldron and guess what happened.

*SHOCK*

Ms. Lily, was shocked.

The pill she concocted fell from her hand as she spoke.

"n-n-ninety eight percent p-p-pure."

After listening to her, all the alchemists were shocked.

Their eyes were wide open.
