Ling Xiao sat up on the bed. The anger in his eyes slowly subsided until calmness and profundity remained.

Ling Xiao was overwhelmed with a sense of longing. 

Jin Se, the person he spoke of was also a Longevity Supreme, the only woman who placed in the top ten Supreme titles. She and Ling Xiao were an item ten thousand years ago. They made a promise to make it official after they had advanced to Godly Boundary. Who would have thought that there would be such a huge turn of events?

"Although you lived a cowardly life, you can find peace that I'll avenge you now that I've taken your body!" Ling Xiao mumbled to himself. A glimmer of coldness flashed past his eyes. 

Despite having a ten-thousand-years-depth frame of mind, he still harbored murderous intent towards the cheating couple, Liu Yiyi and Ling Kun. 

"Hm?"

Just then, a disturbance on the outside left Ling Xiao's brows knit in a knot. 

"Young master's resting. You are not allowed inside. Please leave!" A young lady's voice that was trembling in anger was heard. 

"Hehe, Xue Wei, Ling Xiao that useless trash is dead. Young Master Ling Kun ordered us here to burn his corpse and retrieve his ashes back to the Demon Conquering King's Residence! You have no future with this good-for-nothing. Why don't you follow me? I guarantee you'll be living the life as long as you please me!"

A boorish and lewd laugh was heard. 

"Get lost, don't touch me! Huhu... You're a bad man!"

With a tearful voice, Xue Wei began to put up a fight.

Outside the room, a beautiful slender young lady who was dressed in white had tears rolling down her cheeks out of rage. She was Ling Xiao's maid, Xue Wei. 

Xue Wei was struggling to break free from the grasp of a blue-clothed young man in his twenties. 

"You... You... You're not dead?" the young man in blue gasped. As if he had seen a ghost, his widened eyes spelled shock and disbelief.
