Qing Yang

As Mu Wuji led Yao Yao and Wan Julong inside the pavilion toward the central meeting point, eyes couldn't help but wander around the building in awe of the beauty of the architecture. It reminded Julong quite a lot of the pavilion inside of the Saint Domain in the Zixiao Region. It seemed as though the two Saints both had similar tastes in style.

Coming into the main room inside of the extensively large pavilion, the trio was greeted with 6 figures, all at least in the Nascent-Source Realm of Cultivation.

Five of the figures were seated calmly around a throne-looking seat, which seated an elderly-looking man with a mixed hair complexion of black with white strands. Julong was assuming this person was none other than the Sect Master Qing Yang, simply from the difference in power he displayed in comparison to the others around him. The others around him must have been the fabled Peak Masters.

Qing Yang took a discerning gaze over the three, lagging on Wan Julong, unable to read his Spirit properly.

"Mu Wuji, it is good to see you have returned, though would you mind explaining why it is you have brought these two when they should be in the Outer Mountains?"

Mu Wuji cupped his hands and bowed.

"It is good to see you are also in good health, Sect Master. I'll get straight to the point with this matter: The reason I have brought these two into the Inner Mountains is that they have a connection to Patriarch Cang Xuan."

Qing Yang remained silent for a moment.

"Explain."

His words were no longer filled with a warm tone, instead, they were laced with intent and dead seriousness. What he had just given was an order, not a request.

"While I do not know the details myself, outside of the Domain, when Zhao Pan of the Sacred Palace attempted to kill this Wan Julong, Patriarchs remnants came to his rescue, going as far as to announce Wan Julong as a Disciple of our Sect."

It was in that instant attention was directed to the unearthly handsome boy standing beside Mu Wuji.

"Young one, Wan Julong do you mind explaining how it is such an event occurred?"

"Of course Sect Master. I believe I should explain from the beginning. However, before I do so, I would like it if all things I say remain in this room. Not the parts about Cang Xuan, but more so about who I am and where I come from."

Qing Yang nodded.

"Of course. I will personally see to the punishment of anyone who breaks this humble request."

"Thank you, Sect Master."

Julong bowed fully respectful of the one in front of him.

"I am not originally from the Cangxuan Heaven, but the Hunyuan Heaven. Back in the Hunyuan Heaven, I am both related to the Double-Lotus Saint Wan Zu, and also the Disciple of the Double-Lotus Saint, Zi Xiao."

A small fraction of shock rose on all of the faces who were unaware, especially on Mu Wuji's face.

"In case you do not believe me, I will show you my most prized Technique. Even if not much information makes it into the Cangxuan Heaven from the All-Saints, I'm sure you will recognise that the Technique is an exclusive one from Master Zi Xiao and her former Master."

Julong held out his palm and a spear made of divine white light appeared, slowly getting bigger and bigger. This was obviously the Spears of Divine Light Technique.

This was news to Mu Wuji, who had not ever heard of the creator's identity, only knowing of the Technique's identity. Qing Yang on the other hand, along with the other Peak Masters seemed to be well aware of the origins of the technique. This was most likely thanks to Cang Xuan back when he was alive.

Qing Yang quickly shook his stupor.

"Now I know why you made such a request. I should not dare be disrespectful in your presence then, should I Wan Julong?"

He laughed a little, he wasn't exactly sure how to feel about the boy in front of him.

"I would not dare say so, I am still an immeasurable distance away from your current Cultivation Foundation."

This made him smile. He liked Julongs humble nature.

"What this has to do with Cang Xuan is that he recognised me inside of the Saint Remains Domain, where he promised me out of goodwill to house me inside of the Cangxuan Sect until I found a way back to the Hunyuan Heaven. In turn, I promised to become a Disciple of the Sect and bring back its former glory. Yao Yao here is my companion who is in a similar situation."

While Julong felt a little bad about twisting the truth, it was for the safety of the task Cang Xuan had entrusted him. He simply had no choice.

"Hahaha! Do not worry Wan Julong, if it was a promise that you made to my Master, I will be more than happy to uphold it. Though, if you don't mind me asking, why is it that your Master or Ancestor cannot come to get you?"

"Well, a Law Domain Expert from my Region attempted to kill me out of spite, to which everyone in the Hunyuan Heaven now believes me dead. But despite this, if you have any doubts, I can tell you that I hit number one on the Qi Nourishing List while still in the Middle Stage, at the age of 11. I'm sure even you know just how competitive the Hunyuan Lists are."

Qing Yang nodded his head, a smile on his lips.

"Young one, even if it wasn't for my Master helping you, I still think it would be a struggle to deny you due to your - what I'm assuming - is an extensive list of achievements."

That was Mu Wuji decided to also slip into the conversation.

"Haha! Do you think that is it, Sect Master? You should have seen him in the Saint Remains Domain. He made it to the peak of the Saint Mountain where he beat a Fourth Layer Alpha-Origin Expert as a mere Quasi-Alpha-Origin Practitioner. He even has Grade-7 Genesis Qi!"

"That is rather impressive. Say, would you be interested in joining my Snow Lotus Peak?"

The only female Peak Master spoke up. This was, of course, Liu Lianyi. She was a beautiful woman, though, of older age, she still retained her looks.

"So quick to jump on such a promising Genius. Do you intend to not even allow us the chance to ask ourselves? I can tell that he has practiced some External Cultivation, he would fit right into my Hongya Peak."

The muscular Peak Master named Gu Tianhong was the next to speak, which slowly turned the hall into chaos thanks to the Peak Masters arguing. At least that was until Qing Yang brought control back into the room by flaring his Genesis Qi.

"What about this little lass? I can sense she is extremely talented in Spirit Cultivation and Genesis Runes."

Yao Yao finally decided to speak up after remaining silent the whole time.

"I only wish to be beside Wan Julong. I will of course help with Sect activities on the provision that you allow me to join the same Peak as Wan Julong and am able to reside in the same space as him without being an Official Disciple."

Liu Lianyi gave a small sigh, yet smiled suggestively at the two.

Even an elderly-looking lady could have those thoughts, huh? Well... then again, if Zi Xiao was anything to go off, anything was possible.

Qing Yang only laughed at her proclamation.

"Do not worry, the lass known as Yao Yao, I intend on letting you both stay in our Sects care. I was merely interested in anything you wished to tell us about yourself."

"Then, unfortunately, I have nothing to say, other than I have a stronger foundation than Materialising Realm Experts, despite my actual Realm being lower."

"I expected as much."

Qing Yang nodded understandingly.

"We will continue on this matter tomorrow. For now, I would like Mu Wuji to lead you to some of the rooms in the pavilion and allow you to study up on our Peaks to decide which one you would like to join."

Julong before anything else could be said, uncouthly spoke up.

"Actually, I have already decided on the Peak I would like to join."

"Oh, then go ahead. We can make arrangements right now."

Julong grinned menacingly at his words. They probably were not prepared for what he was about to say.

"Then, I would like to join the Saint Genesis Peak."
